Now you can read the owner's manual😂. My seat of the pants experience was actually the Spyder riding class which I did after I had actually ordered my Sea-to-Sky (yes, I was that impressed by it!) Now in my third riding season, I can state that it definitely is the motorcycle of my dreams. Cheers Coach!
Just purchased my 1st Sea to Sky- 2024! In fact, it’s the first motorcycle/Spyder I’ve ever owned - or ridden - in my life!!! Your videos have been so helpful to my learning experience. 👍🏻
I just got a 2024 RT Limited vs a S2S because I couldn’t justify paying the extra for the same equipment that was on the limited beside a double stitched seat and movable side vents.
I have ridden and raced motorcycles all my life and was thinking of getting a nice Goldwing to do some traveling now that I'm retired but was following my brother -in -law on his Goldwing and when he turned into a gas station to get gas he hit that little V shaped mound of gravel in the middle of where cars turn in and out of the lot and his front tire slid out from under him. We like to have never got it back on it's wheels. Right then The Spyder came to mind as the one for me.
In April my wife and I were riding our 2018 RTL. While sitting at a light we were hit. No injuries but the machine was totaled. Our insurance paid out very well and we were able to purchase a new blue 2024 RTL. I loved the 2018 but this 2024 is a vast improvement.
I just picked up a 2024 spyder rt. Traded my 23 HD Freewheeler . Watching your videos prior to my purchase sure helped me a lot. I drove it off from the dealer. My husband was the passenger, lol. When I took off it was funny cause it had a little more power than I expected , good thing my husband was holding on to the grips. I got on the road and sure enough I was feeling the steering sway you mentioned in your video. Sure enough when I relaxed and lighten my grip it stopped and was smooth sailing. My husband said he was surprised I did so good for my first time on the spyder. I love it. Can't wait for our first short trip on the 2 lane. Not quite ready for highway riding just yet. Now that my husband has riden it he is sold on it. Thank you CoachBob3 for all your videos , I researched for a while before we bought this spyder and I'm so glad I did. Happy wife happy life lol. Now we are both happy.
Another informative video. Thanks coach I have the 2023 RT limited. Now I know what that little vibration is, it's the belt. It's very small and like you said, the Spyder is so quiet, you feel and hear everything. I did a memorial ride a few weeks ago with a bunch of Harley's, the noise was deafening. Cool for a short time, but I love my Quiet Spyder rides on our country roads.
Coach Bob I am impartial but I do love the looks of my 19 better than the 20 and up. I do love the cruise control and use it often. The 1330 motor has plenty of power even with 2 up. That's the way we use ours 95% of the time. I do love the new dashboard. I put a belt tensioner on mine when it was new and I don't feel any vibration. It was mainly cruising with 2 up on the highway above 70 mph. Mileage definitely drops off above 70. Thanks for your impressions.
took delivery today! Wow! Well worth the wait. My sales lady is taking the old man out for lunch so we can go over the manual’s and talk shop. Now that’s customer service.
That's awesome, John! I have been sharing my 2018 with my Harley riding hubby and he talks about how quiet the Spyder is vs the HD... And I think my 2023 is even quieter.
Hi Coach. New to the channel. Own a 2019 RT Limited and was contemplating buying the 2024 sea to sky for a few months and sell the 2019. Watched the “seat of the pants” video on it and was sold ! Picked up my new sea to sky yesterday. This thing is unbelievable.! Thanks for all the spyder info.
I think this generation of Spyder is the best. My 21' RTL Marsala just hit 18k a while ago. Never had belt vibration on my 21' RTL, my old 15' RTS had terrible vibration at certain speeds.
Thanks for the update and so quickly as I know you get a lot of questions. I can’t even stream music from my iPhone yet, it used to work and then I tried to download an update and it stopped working. You may want to hold off on trying to run any updates until BRP says it’s all good or your music may stop as well. Anyways thanks again and ride safe.
Just another note on the design you might not be aware of. I just drove home through a rain storm. I quickly noticed there are panels in front of the floor boards that push air out to the base of the front fender, which has the rain pushed away from the rider. No tire slop blowing back on either the driver or passenger. 2022 Sea to Sky, love it!
So glad that you have the opportunity to ride this and share your experiences with everyone! I'm with you as in the 115 horsepower is more than adequate because that bad boy can go when you need it to!
Nice! Thanks for the overview, Coach! My thoughts when I first rode the 2023 Spyder RT (a month before mine arrived last May!) was about the intuitive controls on it. Good to see you called that out - I've walked people around mine and showed them how easy it is to get started and figure stuff out. I AM a manuals type of guy, and I read it a few times before I got on, but every time I sat on one at my dealership, I just felt at ease. I'm watching the video now, and I'll see what you think about the mirror stability - I did get the bolts from SlingMods to stabilize mine and they are rock solid now.
Your love of the 2024 color scheme is how I feel about my 2023 F3 Limited special edition in the mineral blue. I just love it! And I do believe the newer models are smoother!
Hey Coach! Thanks for the shout out!😅 So GREAT to see you on a 24’ especially on your dream color! Thanks for your wisdom from your years on a Spyder and addressing some of my issues and loves!!! Looking forward to your 2 up impressions, especially if any noticeable belt slap… Guess as you said I need to get use to a CanAm vs Gold Wing noises!! I much more enjoy the ride (noise wise) with ear plugs as you pointed out! Thanks again! Looking forward to meeting you sometime!!! Meeting Coach Vlc would definitely be a bonus! Ride safe!! 😎
Hi Coach, picking up my 2024 Sea to Sky tomorrow, very excited about my first ride with it. I do have a 2023 RT Limited, but it's in for repair and will not get it back until October. Hit a deer with it. Excited to find out the difference between the two.
Congrats on the temporary ownership of the Sea to Sky. 😊 It looks awesome. I hope you get to enjoy it for a long time. I would love to hear Coach Vic's opinion of it after she takes a ride. Ride safe. ✌️
Great looking Sea to Sky Coach Bob. Really enjoyed the video. I just purchased a 2024 Spyder RT Limited this week. While I just have a few miles on it (weather here in NC unusually hot for late June) the difference in this Spyder and my 2018 Spyder, which I recently sold is kinda amazing. The word you used that I totally agree with is ‘refined’. Looking forward to your upcoming videos as you put the Sea to Sky through its paces.
Thanks Coach. This is the very model I have my eye on and hope to acquire one day. Maybe in the future you and the Missus will find yourselves riding your Spyder north of the 49th parallel up here in Canada on a "Meet the Northern Neighbours Tour". :) We will even introduce you to the bike's namesake - the Sea to Sky Highway in British Columbia. So glad you are getting to enjoy your dream bike.
I bought a Sea To Sky yesterday. Runs great. My only concern is the rear suspension seems stiff to the point of being harsh. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hello Coach Bob. Love watching your videos always informative. One thing you didn’t talk about or even check that I’m curious to know is if the Apple Carplay is working on the S2S that they sent you as I’m still waiting for the update myself. I’m guessing it doesn’t work but if you could check when you get a chance and let me know it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to more from you.
I checked today. The CarPlay is a FAIL. I am going to hook the S2S up to my WiFi tomorrow and run an update. I do have my iPhone hooked up bluetooth. I can play my music and audio from my other apps (audible, maps, etc). So the only big issue for me is the Apple Maps. As I learn more or get more information I will certainly post it.
Man, told the wife once they add AppleCar play into the bike- I'd trade my 2022 Sea To Sky in for it. I love this color, LOVE the brown accents.. but sadly the trade in value is just too low. So tempted since I want that screen and updated buttons- they seem SO much better. I love my bike- but the upgrades seem on point.
Have a 2020 RT+, I call it a plus because I added everything the Limited has, minus the auto level suspension. But as much as I would love a 2024 sea to sky. I don't really see much difference excepted the display to warrant the added expense. Love my 2020 RT+. Thanks Bob for being a guinea pig looking forward to next ride.
I got my 2024 RTStoS a week ago. Thanks for all of your educational, fun, and well-edited videos. Here in Arizona it’s even hotter than Florida, which leads to a question: the windshield is TOO GOOD! Even in the lowest position I get little to no air on my upper body and face. Is there an aftermarket small WS available?
Great video. We bought our 2023 about 6 months before we saw the 2024's and wish we would have waited just for the display itself. Oh well, we love our spyder rtl and riding around is very enjoyable. Are you going to take Couch Vic out for a ride too and get her take on the difference between your 2019 and this one? Looking forward to hearing what she has to say.
Hi Coach. Beautiful machine. Had the opportunity to do a 30-40 minute test ride on the S2S last April and really liked it. Love the new dash but very bummed out they can’t get CarPlay to work. Only thing holding me back from trading my 18. I definitely felt a quicker throttle response and brakes were great. We rode two up and the wife loved it and we both thought the seat was very comfortable over our 18RTL.f Didn’t care for the back rest but perhaps it was the adjustment. Storage is great. Can you give us any update on CarPlay. No one seems to know and last heard it is on hold indefinitely. Look forward to your tests and comparisons. Thanks for all your insights. God Bless. Ray & Linda, Ocala.
It makes the Spyder and the rider more stable and gives the Spyder a more planted feeling. I don't believe it's necessary at nominal speeds. But, if I hear that back tire whining...I am going to counter balance the Spyder. Thanks for asking and watching. CB3
Coach Bob, does this bike have the baja ron ultimate sway bar set up w links and laser alignment?.. it's a must have.,mine does,,it makes a difference..as can am does not align at the factory..fact
Hello, I have a question. I just bought the same car. There is a warning sign on the screen. Is this normal? Always use this multifunction gauge with extreme caution. Prolonged attention to the display while riding significantly Increases crach riek. Refer to the Safety Card before riding. PET CARD
I have a question about gravel getting into the drivebelt. I need to ride almost 2 miles on a gravel road to get to the pavement. I have been lucky with Harley Road King and well my BMW 1200 GS is shaft drive. Been looking at getting a Can Am Spyder next year and just wanted to know if the drivebelt is protected.
I bought the 2024 Sea to Sky, any updates on when the Apple Car Play will be available? Also, I can’t even Bluetooth my music from my phone. Have you heard anything from BRP? Thanks!
I have heard nothing. These are Excellent questions...I am asking the same ones. As I get information I will definitely post it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Wooohooooo Love the Sea to sky however Just picked up my 2024 RT Limited Hyper Silver. Absolutely Love it!
The handgrips look tiny. I would have to order extra foamy grips because the stock ones would drive my arthritis crazy!
I have the same bike and am in love with it! I just wish Can Am would fix the Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay issues.
Me too!!!

It is very clean and concise. I really like it.
I hope you're doing well!!!
took delivery today! Wow! Well worth the wait. My sales lady is taking the old man out for lunch so we can go over the manual’s and talk shop. Now that’s customer service.
Basically, the same as my '21 RT Ltd, except for the large digital numbers on the display, which is nice.
That's one beautiful bike! Thanks to BRP for allowing you to share your thoughts.
You need to make that Spyder yours... buy it, just buy it.
I am looking at the 2023 Sea to Sky. I like the green color. I am looking forward to the quite ride. My current Harley has a loud aftermarket exhaust.
That is what I had originally requested. The Green is beautiful.
That's awesome, John! I have been sharing my 2018 with my Harley riding hubby and he talks about how quiet the Spyder is vs the HD... And I think my 2023 is even quieter.

I connected my phone via blue tooth. I am able to stream music and it is even showing the art from the album.
Waiting may be a good idea... thanks.
Very nice review. Looking at maybe upgrading my 2020 F3 Limited
The very first thing I noticed was how much clearer the display is over your 2019.
Just another note on the design you might not be aware of. I just drove home through a rain storm. Thanks for the great comment.
I want the new 2024 Sea to Sky!!!
Me too!!!👍

The 2024 spiders come with a belt tensioner. Which is great. It stops any belt vibration.

Had my 24 STS for little over a month, wife and I love it. What camera and mount are you using above the dash?
Great review. Great channel.
My ‘18 ltd had a belt whine at certain speeds but my ‘21 Sea to Sky I haven’t noticed a noise or any vibration

Looking at Spyder's now. They have huge discount on 23 sea to sky models. Is there really a big difference from 23 model to 24 model?
Just out of curiosity…what’s leaning into the curves on a spyder doing for ya ?
It makes the Spyder and the rider more stable and gives the Spyder a more planted feeling. I don't believe it's necessary at nominal speeds. But, if I hear that back tire whining...I am going to counter balance the Spyder.
Thanks for asking and watching. CB3
They need to do something with the engine it requires an update going from 60 to 80 is strenuous for the engine
I took a quick look, but I couldn’t find where did you get that helmet? It has a beak on the front that’s that’s what I’ve been looking for. 😊
Coach Bob, does this bike have the baja ron ultimate sway bar set up w links and laser alignment?.. it's a must have.,mine does,,it makes a difference..as can am does not align at the factory..fact
Love the video as always, but I'm just tickling the algorithm a little.
Hello, I have a question. I just bought the same car. There is a warning sign on the screen. Is this normal?
Always use this multifunction gauge with extreme caution. Prolonged attention to the display while riding significantly Increases crach riek.
Refer to the Safety Card before riding.
PET CARD
Does it need the pedal commander to overcome the lag in throttle when you first turn the throttle?
i am soaking wet. T he sea to sky is wetGot caught in a down pour in S.D. LOVE IT. 😅 Sturgis is a whole diffrent town without the rally.
I'm being as adjective as I can...but this a blast😅
Can a mechanic explain in detail what is clunking when initially going into gear, any why the clunking can’t be removed?
It’s completely normal for Spyders and doesn’t hurt anything
Two of my local dealers have these in stock. Have had for a while. Lol.
Not worth going from a 2020 to a 2024 imo with no Apple CarPlay.
Coach Bob are the saddlebags any bigger then the 22 RTL? I find my are very small and next to useless
I believe they are the same size.
Really? The saddle bags on my 22 are much bigger than any bike I've ever owned. I can get a full sized helmet in the left one.
I appreciate the reply and definitely enjoy your channel. Thanks again and take care!
Buy it
How the seat feels compare to your 2019 Spyder.
It feels wider and more comfortable overall. That said...I haven't done a long day on it yet.
Where is that road you are riding in tallahassee? I’m from Tallahassee. I’m in the process of getting a Spyder FS T
That is Micosukee Road on the North East side of Tallahassee about a mile off of HWY90. It is a beautiful ride.
Would you trade Casper for that one?
On TV, it looks like an Orca.
🐋
What kind of gas mileage have you got on it thus far? With almost 5,000 mi on my 2023 I am averaging 37.5 which is 3 mi better per gallon than Tommy has been getting on the 2018.🤷♀️
Very informative, as usual. Looking forward to more info.
Awesome, thank you!
Internet tattletales lol😂
My wife has a 23 S2S. It rides and handles well and better than my 22 RTL. Both are fun to ride.
I believe that BRP makes minor unobservable changes to the Spyder each year. The new S2S feels more plush to me as well. I can't put my finger on it. But, it is discernible.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate your feedback.
Where is Apple car play
I agree...there are many disgruntled folks right now. Hopefully the CarPlay fail will be resolved soon. I've heard nothing...but...When I hear something, I will share it immediately.
If you are cruising along singing a song don’t you need to be side by side?
I took a quick look, but I couldn’t find where did you get that helmet? It has a beak on the front that’s that’s what I’ve been looking for. 😊
It is the Arai XD-4 Adventure helmet.
Here is the unboxing of it and another helmet that my friend has...which is also amazing:
