    I am new to riding on any kind of bike. My husband bought me a 2023 . hated it and couldn't really learn to ride it. I researched the CamAm and went and test rode a Spyder rt , I fell in love. Easy to ride and so comfortable. I continued to watch many videos and decided to trade in the HD and bought a Spyder RT base model. I rode it home with my husband on the back. The steering is sensitive the first couple of blocks i was gripping the handle bars to tight which caused a slight left right feel. I remembered CB3 said to ease up on you grip and relax and sure enough it corrected the steering feel. I found on curves also ease up and not push pull, unlike the HD . I have had my Spyder for 2 mos now and it has made me feel so liberated. Im 72 yo and this has been so much more fun than i expected. I enjoy the riding experience just going to the store or riding short trips on the weekends. So far my husband has riden on back with me on each wknd trip and hasnt riden his new Roadking. I looking forward to us taking a longer trip with both bikes, but im taking more time getting used to riding the interstates . Now my husband is talking about getting a Ryker after he has started watching all the videos that i watched on both bikes before i decided on the spyder. Both are fun either way but I'm more comfortable with the wider foot boards getting on and off the bike .
    Thanks for the video and safe travels.

    Well, that's a bummer...I left you a nice long comment but it is lost in YT land lol...Anyways, I appreciate your positive video. The F3's are a lot of fun...I'm on my 2nd one. An upgraded sway bar really helps with cornering and as you said, body position in the turns. I just completed an advanced riding class by Total Control and learned a lot about trail braking and body position. The class was at Pittsburgh International Race Complex and we were able to be out on the track...so much fun! I had the only 3 wheeler amongst a bunch of crotch rockets. You mentioned the rough roads and also obstacles...it's a bit harder to avoid potholes with the 3 wheels but after awhile you figure out where to position the wheels to avoid the obstacles. And yes, it handles well on the rough roads but you really have to hold on when there is uneven pavement or rough patches as one wheel can tend to try to toss you in that one direction. Rykers are fun too. Glad you've had the opportunity to try them both!

    As a new Spyder rider, I enjoy your Spyder reviews, especially before I purchased mine.

    The shorter stock windshield is nice, just not the best on the interstate...I opted for a Freedom 15 inch and love it!

    When I first started riding mine I kept hitting the horn when using the turn signals. Lol We opted for the RTL as my wife couldn’t get on & off the F3 with pegs & we also liked the styling, windshield & all the storage. Ride safe regards Stephen Alberta Canada.

    That looks really good fun - not for our roads here in the UK, but when you have the wide open spaces to tour it must be a really great ride.

      I think it works great on small roads too. It's smaller than a Smart car. It's great for all kinds of roads.

    I’ve always thought these were cool. I’m surprised I don’t see many of them on the road. 👍

    if you want to take fast turns on these, any maybe pop a wheel up, I plant my foot hard on outside peg while leaning my body to the inside of the turn... I can out twisty most bikes on a F3-S of my friends once I learned to ride it fast... but you really do have to know how to move your body with it. Its lots of fun, but I'm still sticking to bikes for now.

      Totally agree. I started using my feet more to control my body, and my cornering speed and confidence went way up. Thanks for sharing!

    On the T model, there's no place to "hide" a full face helmet. The trunks are to small

    I am considering upgrading my Riker to a Spyder
    It looks like the F3 you way back in a seat position. Do you feel the RT would be a better position to see over the front nose for someone who is short

      @PeterLoweOne  26 дней назад

      It’s hard for me to be sure, but I think either could work. I may be wrong though. You’d have to try them for yourself. The F3 does have a lower seating position, but I’m not really sure if that seating position hurts visibility compared to the RT because the RT has a different dash design. I’ll be honest, when I spent time with everything, I didn’t think about your specific use case. I’ll have to go back and see what I think, but it’s the type of thing that you’d have to try for yourself to be sure.

    Ryker = Sportbike
    Spyder F3 = Cruiser
    Spyder RT = Goldwing

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Месяц назад

      I can see why people say that, but I’m not sure that I agree. I think it’s far more nuanced than that. I’m not usually a fan of cruisers, but I loved the F3. It’s not because it felt like a cruiser that I loved it. I’ll talk about things more in my Ryker video coming up.

    • @iotanet
      @iotanet Месяц назад

      I say that as an owner. I have an RT Limited and my wife rides an F3 - the exact F3 in your vid. The low, feet-forward riding position is what makes me compare it to a cruiser. I also think the F3 is the best looking although for a big guy like me, the RT is the most comfortable. No matter since its all subjective. l’m just pleased to see you creating such high-quality content on the great machines!

    Spyders are expensive! 😢

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Месяц назад

      They are, until you compare them to the motorcycle competition. Then you realize that you get a lot of value in them. I'd like them to be cheaper too, but that's the current automotive market right now.
