Yes someone has mentioned it, but thank you bro! ☺️ I gave a new listen after 24hrs and it grows, hits different when I'm not trying to make content and paying 100% attention! Maybe I do another review-video after a couple of replays ☺️
I think it’s better if you listen to G, Ordinary, and Death back to back with no breaks. It’s one consecutive idea and makes more sense listening to it back to back.
They somehow molded multiple influences in such a creative way. I think it’s all so full circle for them in their musical journey, and it also has the Rev’s influence all over it. Hence its sporadic all over the place nature
It's so weird what people like and dislike about the album. I've seen many different people love things and hate things, and those things are usually always different . People don't unanimously like or dislike songs. With the exception of Cosmic of course lol. It's like there's something for every type of fan. I personally thought the entire thing was a total masterpiece.
I agree with you, it's weird but pretty cool at the same time that so many people has so different opinions about the album. What's your score for the album? ☺️🔥
I agree it's definitely a masterpiece, I think it is easier to enjoy it when you understand the overall concept of the album. I personally think The Stage is their best album but over time LIBAD may take it's place.
The one thing I love about this album is how versatile it is. There’s a song in it for everyone it hits multiple genres and is something completely different than what other bands do. It really shows just how talented they are. I believe this is one of the best albums they’ve created. I feel like people are stuck on the metal and don’t appreciate the musicality presented in this album.
After 6 listens, i love it, it gives me the steps through life vibe. win it gets to songs 6 through the end of the album it does gives me the vibes of when Im happy in life. Ups and downs in life is what i hear in this album. Concept a Avenged Sevenfold album that is a story from song one to finish, I dont think they done anything like that. All about life and always having the fear of Death lingering in the back of your mind.
i saw their concert recently and "life is but a dream was the last song. everyone walked off the stage 15-30 seconds after it started and it was just the studio track played, not anyone actually playing. then after the song ended the lights came on and the concert was over. worst concert ending ive seen. wasnt surprised to hear that DMT was used in the making of this album
@gokuwufei99 I wasn't saying (O)rdinary sounds like Avenged Sevenfold. I meant this is Avenged Sevenfold to a tee, they write and produce what they want and don't care what everyone else thinks. They have no fear pushing the boundaries and creating something truly unique.
This album for me is a solid 8 or 9 out of ten. I can’t think of a bad song on it lol. Each song is different and takes you on a journey. I think we can all agree however that Cosmic is a masterpiece. I also love Nobody, Game Over, Mattel, (Death), Beautiful Morning, Life is But a Dream…. Yeah I love this album.
The new album is amazing. Live is but a dream blew me away. I've never had the opportunity to play something so beautiful on the piano. Nobody, Game over, Beautiful Morning, Cosmic, G, Mattel, Easier, (D)eath, (O)rdinary...I've never listened to a metal band. Less than two years ago, a friend from Michigan, USA, showed me the song Save me. As time went on, I started to like Synyster's guitar solos, and today I can say I love it. I was really looking forward to the new album, but I wasn't expecting this. I've never heard anything so beautiful in my entire life. Matthew, Synyster, Johnny, Zacky and Brooks, I bow to you. You are extremely talented and you are the best.
The album is worth a second listen. You know what to expect so you're not caught off guard with the transitions and tones. If you do give it a second chance, read the lyrics while you do.
It's good to give a second chance sometimes, I've done that too and I will explain my new view of the album soon. I've listen to this album 3 more times now, will give it one more listen and then I will do a ranking ☺️🔥
I believe you will change your mind over a time if you give it more listening, I assume thats because of Andy Wallace who was an mixing engineer in this production. Check out also Gojira - fortitude, but im sure you are familiar with it. Good video!!!
It might be a bit of an unpopular opinion but as an album as a whole this might be one of my favorite Avenged Sevenfold albums. I've given it a few listens and I really enjoy the narrative and how the songs flow together.
I couldn't agree with you more about wanting the music and the lyrics to be about to touch you and have meaning, I'm the same way. Actually, I love Death, Cosmic, Ordinary, G, Mattel, Beautiful Morning, life is but a dream, Easier God damn just the whole album I love it lets you get lost in the Sound at least for me it does
Nice that you agree with me, and actually even more nice that you like the songs that I don't. I think that's the purpose of the album, it hits different for everyone 😁
Love the musical part of it, cant hardly hear the vocals tho, not a lot of fast paced singing, or the original rasp. The instrumental part jus overpowers everything
Aah ok so you wanted more volume on the vocals and less instruments on some part? Did I understand correctly? ☺️ The OG rasp is gone because of his surgeries. His voice's more damaged on The stage imo.
@@kimpolimpo yeah, it's not jus the rasp part of it, I honestly couldn't hear what he was saying the majority of the time, and ik he had the surgeries, but he sounds about the same as he did before live now
@@codystevens9784 True and I agree with you. He sounded better in many years in recent live-shows. I guess he's trying a different way of singing in the studio 🙂
I guess a lot of people were expecting to sound like old A7X and have been waiting for a new album for 7 years. If you're open minded and enjoy good music you can't dislike LIBAD.
On first listen I give the album an 8. And the ONLY reason I wouldn't give it a 10 is because the best concept albums are both perfect musically and transitionally. Darkside, The Wall, Tommy, OK Computer, HolyW,ACSS, MAs (Triptych),The Black Parade, American Idiot/21 Century Breakdown, are each like 1 giant song regradless of the stylistic changes. Now before some start freaking out, I am very aware that a few of the artists above deny the "concept" album or linear storyline idea but its hard to deny upon listening to them. And while I left many great concept albums off the list, if there are albums above that you have not heard give them a few listens before being critical, especially on Manson and MCR these albums are classics start to finish.
You have good and valid points! And I agree, my reaction is based on each song, one by one. I'm not putting everything together until the end of the video, that's where I'm realizing a bit that it's a concept. The album is a song, the album is a story. So that's probably why my mind is f*cked and I'm saying "Am I high now??". Because I'm feeling something, but I couldn't do the puzzle while reacting. I've listened it one more time now and it grows on me, scores will be changed I already feel. Thank you for your comment my friend, i appreciate it!
@@kimpolimpo Nobody, We Love You, Mattel and Cosmic. It is about the message behind the letters, the conscience about what are we doing here, about how insignificate we are in the space, in the universe and about this fast IA future is coming. Cosmic is amazing. Can't control my emotions eith this masterpiece 😭😭
I think it's funny watching metal heads reacting to avenged being creative. Y'all are extremely boxed in to the genre...to quote you while listening to Ordinary "please come in with heavy guitars"... I think avenged accomplished their goal with this album. To me, today with the amount of content out there, if something new isn't making me go 'wtf!?', then I kinda get bored of it. I definetly have a varied taste in music, kinda go from Ben E King to Pantera to J.Cole in heartbeat. So for me this album was PEAK music
This album is a little mixed bag for me, I'm like you the first half is awesome but that second half outside of the last song is just a skip for me. But damn, Mattel and Cosmic might both be top 10 A7X songs ever for me. When this album hits, it hits hard
I appreciate your honesty but you were dead on when you said this album is about life and death and that's what they want you to feel. Listen to the album again with that in mind.
Thank you my friend! Yeah I was realizing that when I wanted to give some final words that I think I need to listen to the album a couple times and not recording a video at the same time 😅 gonna listen to it today again maybe 1-2 times with 100% dedication 😁🤘
I respectfully disagree with your assessment, first listen is kinda rough I’ll agree… but listen start to finish and hang on for the journey this whole album takes you on. Solid 10’s across the board.
@@kimpolimpo hard to pick just one, I enjoy all of them in a different way, it’s pronounced “ma-tell” btw like the old toy company. But my definite bangers are Mattel, nobody, we love you, cosmic, beautiful morning… well basically the whole darn album. I can’t listen to just one, I have to listen from start to finish bro. Once you do that you will see that it’s all just a big ass journey
Nice reaction, man. I have mixed feelings with this album, as a whole it's maybe a 6/10 for me... It's interesting though because on the first listen I really liked (O)rdinary even though it's not the type of music I listen to. Mattel, Game over, Ordinary and Cosmic would be the songs that I might listen if it comes up on shuffle...
The tracks I enjoyed the most on this album were Easier and Ordinary, but the rest of the album doesn't work for me. I get the concept and the intention, but most of the experimental elements just don't sound good together. Shadows hadn't sounded that good in a long time, he's clearly taken his time to study and practice, but I didn't feel his voice matched the style they wanted to explore. It's a good album, but it ranks last on their discography imo. Maybe I'll change my mind in the future.
Nice review my friend ☺️ I think many has the same kind of 'issue' with the album. To many genres in one album and songs that doesn't feel 100% well thought-out. Me included, it's too psychadelic sometimes. Sometimes the styles hits good but some don't 🙂
Im not trying to throw shade your way, but you should probably expand your horizons a bit more, comparing the guitars in Ordinary to Bruno Mars pretty much tells me that you dont listen to Bruno Mars, Daft Punk or anything Funk/Pop/Synth oriented. If you're gonna be doing reviews it would help you quite a lot to listen to more stuff so that you can give accurate commentary.
I don't feel you're trying to throw shade or something, but yeah I have heard songs from each artist but nothing I listen to on a daily basis. That was the first thing that popped into my head. I appreciate your comment bro! 🙂
@@ferminharris3826 i agree those are two of the best songs, but how can you hate Syn’s beautiful piano playing in the last song? Its gorgeous, and clearly inspired by Chopin, which they nailed.
@@ninja_tony The song itself was alright, I’ve heard better, but I can’t give it a fair shake because how one it was their Title Song and when it’s a title song especially with a title like that you expect dark/emotional lyrics and this big huge extravagance and it wasn’t. Also to end the album like this with a song like that? No, I can’t get behind that
I'm honestly and seriously uncapable to understand who dislikes 'G' song. You have to be a really dying metalhead to not enjoy it. You may think its not a very good song, but disliking it, in my humble opinion, doesnt make sense, I really dont get it. No matter the genre is, at least, a very fun and catchy song. I bet you'd dance it getting drunk in some party.
I just watched "death" and I wont comment anymore, would be very inconvenient by me. I need to learn respecting people's opinions/musical taste..... keep it up the good work. bye!

Haha yeah, pretty cool we're entitled to our own opinions 😉 JK, I need to listen again and look at the whole. My 1st and so far only time I've listen was when I was recording this video and didn't payed attention to the story to 100%. How do you rate the album? 😁
@@kimpolimpo Well I've listened to it 3 times this far. And since I thoroughly enjoy concept albums and unexpectancy of this album my rating is somewhere between 8 and 10. 10 being dark side of the moon and the wall by pink floyd. And 8 is metropolis part 2 by dream theater. But i can see people give it 5/10 or even worse if they expected good old classic sevenfold duelling guitars and memorable choruses. Anyways have a good one mate 😁
I respect your opinion bro! When you're saying drug-inspired, do you mean like it's too psychedelic? For example Game Over, when it goes from punk to a slow Beatles-style? ☺️
@@kimpolimpo Yeahhhhh, M.Shadows said these songs were born of a psychedelic trip lol I assumed that was the case when I’d first heard “we love you”. There are aspects of these songs I really like but a lot of it is too weird for me
I listened to the album with a open mind and honestly couldn't get into it. I liked Nobody, but the rest of the album I just don't really care for. It's too confusing for me and I can't get into the genres skips they did on each song.
Same.....not feeling it. It's the least A7X sounding A7X I've ever heard 🙅♂️ they lost me after the first 4 tracks, I found myself shaking my head no no no the whole rest of the album. I don't like techno, disco, and auto tune in my metal 🤷♂️

@@gokuwufei99 Me either. This is the least sounding A7X stuff I've ever heard. I like Nobody, but that's it. We Love You left me going "Wtff am I listening to?" and the rest of the album just reminded me of a garage jazz band with auto tune. I can't get into it. I LOVE their older stuff but this is leaving me unsettled. After 7 years I expected more I guess.
@@kimpolimpo I just wasn’t huge on it personally, I can see the art side of things and how creative it was, but as someone who I guess you can say fits the standards for most metal music something so unique and creative just isn’t something I want to listen to regularly, I can’t see myself visiting any of the songs from the album apart from maybe Nobody. I loved Nightmare for the reason of I knew what I was going to get and it sounded great while also being a bit mainstream and simplistic in terms of song building and following their typical riff, bridge, chorus, solo, finish theme. I should’ve said 5/10 but I only liked about 3 of the 11 songs, so I put 3 for each song I liked, lol.
I don’t consider people who split because of how A7X is constantly evolving real Avenged Sevenfold fans. They should know by now what it actually means to be an A7X fan.
Hi swedish friend 👋 I have some thoughts about this that I want to share. I actually think this album is one of their best. The Stage is what introduced me to metal back when I was in the 9th grade, and part of me wanted some new A7X metal, so at first I was kind of disappointed. But then I realised that I have Trivium, Make Them Suffer, Veil of maya, etc, to give me the heavies. A7X has something special; they're just Avenged Sevenfold, and I really enjoyed the musicality in this regardless of genre. Also I feel like people fail to acknowledge what masters they are in writing melody. There's not a single song from this album where the melodies hasn't stuck on my mind. 9/10 from my part
Hello friend 😁🤘 I like your thoughts and you have good points. Sevenfold are Sevenfold, not metal. But I kinda get it that some are disappointed, but as you say. If you want metal you can go to other bands or just listen to their older stuff. I've given it a proper listen now and like it more 🙂🤘
Theres a few songs that break me in this album especially when youre paying attention to the lyrics... Very well written and thought through. So many emotion
Yes someone in the comments mentioned that and he wrote it to Matt's son? Do you know if that's true? ☺️ I read the lyric and understand it, but my issue with the song is the sound and melody 🙂
I feel this album took a lot of flack because many didn't full grasp what they were going for: Some mistakes were made in places but it's not the way it is by accident... they truly went this experimental by doing many different styles together and doing them pretty well, the abrupt switches between seemingly incompatible styles are also by design. If I'm being completely honest, I was disappointed as well at first since I didn't understand what's happening and came in with different expectations thinking it would only be a second The Stage... now I'm actually happy with how they did the second half, after Cosmic the synth spacey ones are in fact my favorites and I swear it suits them! I only wish the final instrumental wasn't just piano but something like symphonic metal, also Cosmic and Beautiful Morning could have switched places in the ordering... other than that everything feels perfect to me in the end.
It's good to give a second chance sometimes, I've done that too and I will explain my new view of the album soon. I've listen to this album 3 more times now, will give it one more listen and then I will do a ranking ☺️🔥
i listened to it a couple days early (dont ask how lol). And it is the only album ive ever had to take a break in the middle for, my heart was racing after game over, mattel, and cosmic, especially cosmic, and i had to breathe, this album has already shot itself up to become my favorite album of all time, because no other album has made me cry, laugh, or feel every other emotion like this one has, 10/10.
Nothing will get me to say a bad thing about this album, imo its just prefect and even tho certain songs like (o)rdinary and easy with the weird autotune it just worked, made me feel like i was on drugs but it worked
i like all the songs besides ordinary. the album gets calmer and calmer as it goes on to working itself out of the metal category completely. i really like it but i can definitely see why one wouldn't like it. its not primarily a metal album and if that is what you want then it is going to quickly start coming up short
I feel you! And some songs are really good. Maybe I'm a little bit too used to hearing their older stuff and that's why it's harder to feel the new style and vibe? 🙂 (and sorry for the late reply, thought I did it before but clearly not 😅)

I gave a new listen after 24hrs and it grows, hits different when I'm not trying to make content and paying 100% attention! Maybe I do another review-video after a couple of replays ☺️
Man i love the whole album! But "Cosmic" thats a song that only comes along once in a lifetime.
I agree with you, they can't write a Cosmic 2! Such a beautiful song ❤🤘
Cosmic also made me tear up. 100% completely did not expect that it would have that effect on me. It was moving
(o)rdinary is definitely my favorite, it felt very daft punk to me, cosmic is a freakin masterpiece
As someone wrote here: Cosmic deserves a Grammy 🔥
@@kimpolimpo 10/10 for me.
I personally believe the whole album as a whole is a solid 8 out of 10 if not a 9 out of 10 for me. I personally like that cosmic space vibe.
Glad U liked it! The album is growing for me now after 2 listenings 😅🤘
You're not alone bro, I cried too when I first listened to Cosmic...
Beautiful song ❤ My favorite A7x-ballad was Acid Rain until yesterday 🥰
Mattel, pronounced (Muh-tell), game over, and beautiful morning are my favs rn
Thank you for pointing it out how to pronounce it 😅 🤘
Death sound like a Frank Sinatra song.
YES! I totally agree! 😀
i saw their concert recently and "life is but a dream was the last song. everyone walked off the stage 15-30 seconds after it started and it was just the studio track played, not anyone actually playing. then after the song ended the lights came on and the concert was over. worst concert ending ive seen. wasnt surprised to hear that DMT was used in the making of this album
I almost cried on (O)rdinary. Idk why was just so Avenged Sevenfold. Album, in my opinion, is a masterpiece.
Interesting! Is Ordinary your favorite-song? 😀
@@kimpolimpo I think so, Love G.O.D, Cosmic, Easier, really the entire album.
Ordinary sounds like Daft Punk....but ok 👍
@@gokuwufei99 I think that's why I enjoyed it so much. I really like Daft Punk so it was an easy digest.
Cosmic is meta 😅❤🤘
Cool story! 😁 Save Me is one of my favorites from the Nightmare-album 🤘
Mattel and Beautiful Morning are very classic A7X. But Cosmic and Beautiful Morning are my faves.
Interesting! I respect that but I don't agree with you about Beautiful morning, in what way is it classic A7x to you? ☺️
Agree with you. Rollercoaster album
Yes, rollercoaster in many ways! What's your thoughts of the album? 🤘
I believe you will change your mind over a time if you give it more listening, I assume thats because of Andy Wallace who was an mixing engineer in this production. Check out also Gojira - fortitude, but im sure you are familiar with it. Good video!!!
Cosmic made me weep

Amazing album
This album while not my absolute favorite its in my top 3 for sure😊
Mattel masterpiece 🤘🤩
Game Over reminds me of System of a Down, i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one
What should I react to next? 🤔
Drop a comment here with your idea. I listen to any genre 😁

You gotta listen to the last G, (O)rdinary, and (D)eath uninterrupted the whole way through. That’s the real vibe.
Yeah, I will give it a couple of tries tomorrow 🙂
I couldn't agree with you more about wanting the music and the lyrics to be about to touch you and have meaning, I'm the same way. Actually, I love Death, Cosmic, Ordinary, G, Mattel, Beautiful Morning, life is but a dream, Easier
God damn just the whole album I love it lets you get lost in the Sound at least for me it does
Nice that you agree with me, and actually even more nice that you like the songs that I don't. I think that's the purpose of the album, it hits different for everyone 😁
Love the first 6 songs. Gonna need a drink before I can get enjoy the rest.
Hahaha love it 😅
Love the musical part of it, cant hardly hear the vocals tho, not a lot of fast paced singing, or the original rasp.

Lot of you complain about genre changes I'm lucky I like almost all genre and melodies. If it sounds good it sounds good.
I guess a lot of people were expecting to sound like old A7X and have been waiting for a new album for 7 years.
If you're open minded and enjoy good music you can't dislike LIBAD.
I agree with you, if it sounds good it sounds good. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doens't 🙂

I also got a Little Piece of Heaven vibe as well from the drums

@@kimpolimpo I loved it, great experience and songwriting
Cosmic and (D)eath are gonna hit hard when I lose someone important to me
MASTERPIECE
Cool bro! Favorite song? 🙂
Where's Metropolis Pt.2 ? 😂😂😂
This album is so overthink! 😍😍 9.5 absolutelly 😎😎
Cool! What's your favorite song? ☺️
It’s a ballsy move for a band of their caliber to do this. I will give this a 9 as a record. Who else can channel Frank Zappa?
I agree! Ballsy af and I give them credit for that 🔥🤘
I think it's funny watching metal heads reacting to avenged being creative.
Happy to entertain you 😉🤘
Totally respect your opinion but G and (O)rdinary are easily my favorite tracks on the album and it's crazy to see your negative reaction to it.
And I totally respect your opinion my friend 🙂
Funny, I love beautiful morning 😅 but I guess this is where tastes differ 😂
Yeah! Feels like the album has at least 1 song for everyone to like 😁
This album is a little mixed bag for me, I'm like you the first half is awesome but that second half outside of the last song is just a skip for me. But damn, Mattel and Cosmic might both be top 10 A7X songs ever for me. When this album hits, it hits hard
Agree with you! When it hits, it hits hard! 🔥

Nice reaction, man. I have mixed feelings with this album, as a whole it's maybe a 6/10 for me...
It's interesting though because on the first listen I really liked (O)rdinary even though it's not the type of music I listen to.

"I love this song!, 6/10" 😅
Hhaah where did I say that? 🤪😉
Only Easer and G for me is not good. The others are such amazing as f* 😎😎😎🎸

@@kimpolimpo it’s hard to choose any song over Cosmic but after that Mattel, Ordinary, Easier, Beautiful Morning!
Hello friend 😁🤘
I like your thoughts and you have good points. Sevenfold are Sevenfold, not metal. But I kinda get it that some are disappointed, but as you say. If you want metal you can go to other bands or just listen to their older stuff. I've given it a proper listen now and like it more 🙂🤘
A7x is so versatile that you never know what to expect but they always deliver greatest band ever
I agree, you don't know what to expect! 🙂
Theres a few songs that break me in this album especially when youre paying attention to the lyrics... Very well written and thought through. So many emotion
syn plays the piano at the end. bro G is such a good song once u realize it's a satire about being god
Yes someone in the comments mentioned that and he wrote it to Matt's son? Do you know if that's true? ☺️
I read the lyric and understand it, but my issue with the song is the sound and melody 🙂

Nice to hear my friend! 🙂
i like all the songs besides ordinary. the album gets calmer and calmer as it goes on to working itself out of the metal category completely. i really like it but i can definitely see why one wouldn't like it. its not primarily a metal album and if that is what you want then it is going to quickly start coming up short
I feel you! And some songs are really good. Maybe I'm a little bit too used to hearing their older stuff and that's why it's harder to feel the new style and vibe? 🙂 (and sorry for the late reply, thought I did it before but clearly not 😅)
