List of artists that I hear influence from: System of a Down Slayer Kanye West (at the same time as Slayer somehow) Daft Punk Alice in Chains The Beatles Rob Zombie Rush Dream Theater Metallica Pink Floyd Frank Sinatra Chopin Beethoven.... Yeah, so this is the weirdest thing I've ever heard. I'm so here for it though.
There's a fill in "Beautiful Morning" that I feel got specifically pulled from a song called "Hard Hat" by jojo mayer and nerve. It's such an off kilter fill, but it felt copy pasted.
You need to listen to "The Stage" and you will realize the foundations of the concepts in the album. Lots of existentialism and philosophy. While the stage is more of a thought process trying to analyze the concepts of life, "Life is but a Dream" is the experience of the concepts of life.
Well put! I love music, I used to be a hard rock metalhead since 2010 and became a musichead when I started going to college for music in September and learned and started appreciating all genres of music. Now I jam out to anything anyone shows me and appreciate it because it’s all the same at the end of the day. All art!
For myself, I wouldn't call myself a metalhead, a bit of a musichead yeah. And I do like the album 50/50, Game Over, Mattel, Nobody, We Love You, G, Life Is But A Dream piano song is nice. Only some of em will end up in my playlist not all. The Rest is meh. Love G because of the influences of Rush, Frank Zappa and some Dream Theater. About the mix? I don't know, not THE best, not THE worst or so.
I posted on a Tool (a band that I admire dearly) subreddit saying this album is amazing and I was eaten alive😂 Albums like this don't come often and we should cherish it.
So many great songs, but “We Love You”’s ability to work with all its elements is mind blowing. It’s actually cohesive, fun, and interesting all in one. Beautiful song
Lyrics are one of the most important parts of this album.. Listening to music in an incomplete way will give you incomplete judgement.. Lyrics, the concept and the beautifully depressing journey of this album are PHENOMENAL!
Been along for the ride with a7x since '03. LIBAD is hands down thier best album. Really enjoy seeing people like yourself be open minded towards the music instead of hating on it purely because it's not a metal album. Run it back with more focus on the lyrics and it'll melt your brain even further.
If you haven’t heard the 2 albums before city of evil and the white album, you should. Sounding the seventh trumpet and waking the fallen. I personally love all their records especially the new one.
This album is shit for me. I just don't ever want to listen to music this weird. It doesn't relate to anything else. I guess I'm happy if they're happy, after giving us all those great songs, and maybe they're tired of writing City of Evil tunes. There are some really sweet moments throughout, particularly @8:33 when you say Beatles, it's really more like a Good Vibrations type bridge IMO, but I like this band because they write great songs with great melodies, and these songs are just bits and pieces, bleeps and bloops. It seems like it's gone over very well with the majority of fans though, and I can see why. I also as a Christian hate this philosophy of psychedelics and nihilism. Also, excellent job on this. I think we've all listened already so the host should just talk beside the music at an equal volume. Most people let it play and add nothing, or they pause it often but don't really say anything substantial, and then it's not even 'content' it's just socializing with someone.
Thanks for the kind words. This is one of those albums where it's either your cup of tea or not, and honestly either response is justified. Just wish people could understand that people dig different things and that's all there is to it. I think you have a great perspective on this.
@@ShounenN "I mean, this is an Arby's. Having a normal one? Go out and touch grass my dude. This album lowkey slaps tbh ngl." But seriously, I guess you're right.. regular A7X is shallow and simple, and it wasn't until Shadows and Gates got bored and stopped being rockists (a form of white supremacy tbh) that they started making music that you, a real music nerd and a genius, could appreciate.

Sad how nobody knows Bad Religion
Big influence on drums on the opening track
Rachmaninoff influence in Life Is But A Dream
@@Menamizwut it make sense seeing as Brooks Wackerman also playing in Bad Religion!

Yeah stage was more of the physical realm aspects of life and LIBAD deals with a more spiritual view of it
Definitely want to give this one a shot now
I think cosmic should be song of the year
No doubt.
Just listening. Unbelievable.
It's a perfect song.
It's a great song. There's not much of it in this video because I was genuinely just sitting there getting lost in it
@@sergor_ivor literally everyone’s experience is just getting lost in their thoughts during that song. Definite song of the year contender

Metalheads hate it. Musicheads Love it.
Most people think that this album is all about death. It isn't. It's about life.
Great review
That is the perfect way to say it. Because I grew up with them, but I ventured off into tons of different genres. I'm gonna steal that lmao

You missed the AiC nod on Beautiful Morning.
Love this album. I'll always love A7X 🤘😈🔥
Ohhh this man will dig the stage
Loved the reaction, bro! Avenged Sevenfold has a lot more to give

Being a Mars Volta fan prepared me for this album
I just discovered mars Volta on Spotify weeks before this album and you could say it prepared me as well lol.
This album is a just trip. But if you like it atleast a little, it only gets better with every listen.
What an album ❤️

Gotta pay attention to the lyrics tho! It's a concept album. The theme is great.
Nice job nice reaction.

I like this album a lot, Beautiful morning is mediocre if not just plain boring
It's beach boys, not Beatles.
Someone clearly introduced them to BTBAM
YES. I could use more bands inspired by BTBAM.
