@RicceneENT32eah same, tbh. It's the first songs by them that i haven't liked. I do like "we love you" though, however i don't love it, especially compared to their older stuff. I am excited to hear the rest though, i hope there's songs i will like more compared to the two they've already put out so far. But you i don't like "Nobody" much at all... It's to repetitive for my liking. Definitely not a terrible song, i do like some parts of it, can see why others would like it. Definitely not my taste though 😭 which hurts a little to admit as they're my fave band 😭

I actually dislike the vast majority of avenged sevenfold’s discography (mostly outgrew it since my teens) but the two songs that have dropped are amazing and I love the album art. Very excited for it.

I absolutely love this band and I love all of their members for their individual additions to the music.
HOWEVER, after this albums released, I can’t say that I genuinely enjoyed a single song. Much love for you guys and keep doing your own thing, but I won’t be the one to tell you it’s good.
Love that this album is based on life, purpose, depression, enlightenment, power......Just the mixed bag of emotions your start to feel when you step outside yourself for a second.
I have ego deathed several times on mushrooms and once on LSD and what he is saying in that regard totally makes sense. You start to think about yourself as being a part of this world as a whole versus just focusing on yourself. You realize that your purpose isn't merely to live, reproduce, then die.....What I gathered is that your purpose is to make the most out of your life and how you can contribute a positive energy to those around you and all the other living things on this planet. If you focus on death, then the aspects of death and fear become your reality.....sadness, depression, withering away slowly until you are an empty shell going through the motions. Being happy doesn't require you to better your life situation (though that may help)...Being happy comes in the form of taking the situation you are in and making the most of it. We all want more in life, but those aspects/possessions don't define our purpose and shouldn't define our happiness in the big scope of things.

It’s very different just like every a7x album evolves for better or worse. It’s going to take some time to grow on me. Waking the fallen will always be my favorite

Can’t wait to hear this crazy shit, have so much respect for them just making what they want to make even if it has almost no commercial appeal, really really rare to see a band as big as them making weird ass experimental shit, they could make more commercial friendly music and crank out something along the lines of Nightmare or HTTK that would sell a ton but they truly just don’t give a shit, they want to make the music they want to make and I greatly respect that, they’re doing the complete opposite of chasing commercial success and that’s awesome Imo.
Possibly genre changes to expand the audience? They know the hardcore fans will be loyal and buy. After hearing this interview I don't think thats what they are doing but it's plausible.
@@cbc2780 nah they’re definitely just making the music they want to make and enjoy, challenges themselves as musicians. They are already huge and have money, they don’t need to appeal to a different demographic to get more fans. They’re just gonna do what they want and I respect that greatly because this album has way less commercial appeal that their last 5, the stage didn’t have a ton of commercial appeal either because that was a long as full on prog metal album but they took it to a whole different level with LIBAD,not sure a metal band as huge as them has ever dropped and album with so little commercial appeal. These guy like challenging themselves and trying new stuff with every project and they probably will continue doing stuff like that for as long as they’re a band, it’s pretty badass imo because they could make albums like HTTK that her crazy radio play and make them a shit ton of money but they don’t care about that shit these days.
I hope I'm right and this album winds up better than The Stage.
This band is a band where each album is good. Some albums hit the spot right off the rip. Other albums take time to grow on you. I have a feeling this album will be like that. But a lot of my favorite bands in the world I hated them at first. Sometimes the music that takes time to grow on you is the most beautiful musicianship you can possibly appreciate.
It's different than anything they made before. But yeah, it's better than The Stage. That piece of crap is worthless.

Yeah, you can tell he is really passionate about what he does. That's something a lot of these big pop singers could learn from. When people are in it just for the money, there is a big difference in everything they do and say.

Hearing this reminded me why I love metal so much.. It sounds so cheesy but I've listend to a lot of diffenrent genres and I've never experienced so much depht and so many thoughts behind a single track or album then I did with multiple metal artists. Thats why I love A7X. It's not just simple music, it's pure art.

A7X is one of my favorite bands, and has been for a long time. I'm also a long time prog fan. This is sure to be a great record, maybe even flat out phenomenal. But not even close to the best prog record of the decade.
Dude the songs have been so good so far. You can tell how much they've grown and matured, and this feels like a growth from and evolution of The Stage. I'm so excited, you can feel the passion and skill, and you can hear their message and their new world view shining through. And, as we all knew, he mentions psychs, which is even better man. It changes your mind, changes your life, it's a beautiful thing. It's heroic, I'm happy he's sharing that with us, the world is waking up

I just became a A7X fan because of Nobody. When I heard We Love You I was so thankful to hear this new music from them. I went back and listened to their old music and just fell in love with Avenged Sevenfold. Their sound is simply amazing and I am so pumped for this new album. Looking forward to seeing them at MSG this June.

Yup, this is what we all had been waiting for. I believe this record comes out at the right moment in life for most of us. It is very exciting to see how much Matt gets into it and how excited he sounds describing this masterpiece.
I love listening to Matt talk about his reasoning behind the songs they release. Even if I don’t view life in the same way, he always manages to be succinct and reasonable in his explanations. Could listen to him talk about his craft all day
I'll admit, when I first heard Nobody, I was dreading this album but I realized it was because I went into that song with an expectation of hearing something from the self titled and Nightmare era. But after hearing We Love You, those two songs are currently some of my two most played songs on Spotify. Being able to realize that this is what the guys are passionate about (trying new things, challenging themselves, challenging their listeners, etc.) I've become excited to hear the rest. Avenged is definitely one of those bands that can't be kept in a box. They don't want to. They aim to push themselves to different places and they want to take us with them and it's really cool to see. Again, it was all about perspective and not having expectations. Now that I've moved past that, I'm stoked for LIBAD

Its crazy A7X really grew and evolved right along side my music tastes. To me it has felt like every album they released since nightmare perfectly fit the kind of music i was enjoying at the time.
I love prog, avant garde, and just generally genre twisting rock/metal type stuff right now. So far the 2 singles have hit EVERY mark for me and I bet this album will be a masterpiece. hyped
I agree. It's really awesome seeing their music evolve as the band matures. It amazes me that people aren't interested in the new singles since they really feel exciting to me.

To me Lost was a perfect song!! The auto tune brought it to life in my opinion.

What a great interview. You asked a lot of great questions in that segment and I want to listen to more. A7X has been my favorite band because you expect them to be unconventional and uncompromising to what they love to do. It may not be for everyone, but they are one of the most creative and boundary pushing bands that persistently evolve and don’t pander to their fans. They want you to grow with them and tackle some very heavy subject matter.

Love this album. As someone who is open minded about music and enjoys a variety of genres (and especially the bands they took inspiration from, like Dream Theater, Yes, Daft Punk or Iron Maiden), I gotta praise everything from this album. It's kind of a concept album, where it goes back and forth about the meaning of life from various perspectives. I love it: love the instrumentals, love the lyrics, love the variety and love even more THAT Daft Punk inspired song, "(G)". One of the best things I've heard since Random Access Memories and definitely a song that Daft Punk wish they had recorded themselves.
Definitely an album that you should listen to a few times in order to appreciate some songs that will end up inevitably growing on you. Great album.
