I own a 430i as, to me, it just makes perfect sense. Fuel economy, sound, speed. All are perfect. Go for the 435i and it is just a little bit quicker (can't get much more out of it for UK roads) but horrendous on fuel economy in comparison. Why go any further than the 430i? Perfect all rounder (for here in the UK anyway).
Same here, I had a 430i and it was a perfect combination of performance and economy. Build quality was excellent, not a single creak or rattle. I changed it for an F82 M4 and I miss the 430, the M4 is just too extreme for our overcrowded roads, I fell in love with the muscular looks and the crazy performance was intoxicating at first but it gets a bit draining on long journeys in comparison to the 430. I had long term averages for mixed driving of round 38mpg and I used to drive it pretty hard.
I bought one of those last summer with a manual gearbox with 50'000km. Really love it! Only annoying thing about the B48 engines is that they develop a rattle coming from the wastegate actuator. It is not a mechanical problem but just audible.
Ive just bought a 428I F33 convertible and love it! Find it so quiet and relaxed to drive but also quick when pushed so great fun. Fuel economy is suprisingly good. I had an audi a4 2.4 convertible previously and this beats it hands down in every way.
2017 430i grand coupe xdrive premium package and winter package. I had fun driving in the snow with total control. Very sturdy car. Love the heated steering wheel.
2 questions. 1. Is The little drift at roundabouts illegal in the uk? I mean can they sens you a fine for this if it is caught from the cameras etc? 2. Is there a significant difference in terms of insurance between 430i and 440i?
I got 420i convertible and is fun to but cant wait to tune it on 260hp stage 1 beacuse yeah engine is same just the turbo i think is bigger in 430i what do you mean about stage 1 on 420i beacuse it gets 80 hp and 100 nm so 260 hp and 420nm i think something like that
Who do you think is more reliable: 430i or 420i? Would the added horse power theoretically affect the reliability of the engine in a negative way because it might "stress" it more?
The 430i is built to handle more horsepower, different pistons etc. Reliability according to most sources is that they're the same. From our own experience the 6 cylinder BMW's especially with the B58 engine tend to be the most reliable.
@@eagleelisei different tuning, but the 430i also has a couple of mechanical differences as well. Even though it's a B48 it uses different pistons and exhaust system.
@@ParagonCarsLondonOhh..okay. Given the fact that you're saying that the reliability is kind of the same I might go with the 430i instead of 420i because of the added hp which will give a more powerful feeling and more fun to drive. I would've love to get the 440i with the 6 cylinder B58 but the taxes are much higher and the fuel consumption also increases a little bit. Thanks for the answers!!
The 430i is a great pick. Some people choose a 420i and tune it to the same power as a 430i. But i heard story's about burned pistons etc on 20i engines. The 430i has better parts and is capable of 280-300 ish hp with a tune. I drive a stock 430i from 2016. It now has 72k miles and it is a joy to drive. The fuel consumption is quite good for its power. And i really love the color: tansanit blau.

These are much better looking than the new 4-series which got all kinds of design problems, the grill being just one…

Great video. Would love to see your thoughts on a 330e
there is an error in the title. It's not a hot hatch ...

@@ParagonCarsLondon They both have the 4 cylinder 2 litre capacity B48 engine, they only differ in hp (249 vs 181)..different tuning I guess

between the 430i coupé and A 5 or A 4 Avant 45 TFSI 252 Hp which one is the most fun to drive ?
430i will be
I came from the audi vw scene and now i have a 430i. Love it
Sounds like 440i > 430i all day from what you were saying 🤔
I´m looking at the gran coupe version, because its just the better looking 3series in my opinion
Just stage one a 420i
This BMW or a TT 2.0 TFSI?
oh bmw deffo. The TT is nice but it's not as dynamic as a bmw.
Could u do m4 competition
i’ve done a regular m4. If we get an m4 competition i’ll definitely be reviewing it 😁
@@ParagonCarsLondon Ty o last question sorry for bothering what about m3 competition
