Had mine three months, on coilovers stage 1 - pushing around 330bhp and 690nm and my god does it fly. Genuine smiles every time I put my foot down. Great review 🙏
@@eltigre7001often with diesels fuel economy improves when remapped. Something to do with optimising torque at lower revs, don’t quote me on that though.
Well not much to add to this, mine is my third 430d and the last of this model to be built. (built in Jan 2020) and first registered Apr 2020. Superb car all round and now the price of a Fiesta !
I'd love the 430d Convertible version of this. The fact that this generation is a hardtop convertible, while the new/current generation is a soft top definitely makes this generation superior to me. However, I'll have to go to Europe to have a chance to drive it, because BMW never sold a diesel powered convertible in North America, sadly.
I had a 320xd and it was incredibly fast 10-58, and then the acceleration suddenly drops and lacks the power at higher speeds, I did make 600-650mi on a full tank driving nice mix urban+suburban, but it does have a lag much like all diesels (which is very easy to get used to) but if you like driving dynamically I think 3liter is needed hence me looking for 335d/435d, fuel consumption is similar, insurance as well, not sure about road tax
Its a no brainer going for the 35d over the 30d unless you really have to have a 30d, difference in economy (mostly a few mpg due to xDrive) is outweighed by the difference in performance.
435d much more fun. Much more faster. Price differrence f is not far apart for 435d and 430d. 435d is only 1/2 second slower than a M4 only because of the weight of the car without the expensive running cost.
One of the best cars ever made in my opinion. It's bloody amazing. You drive it wondering how they managed to do such a great job on this car. It's got everything. Its perfect. Looks, performance, reliability, comfort. Absolutely amazing car.
I have a 430d gc and I can tell you now that it’s 100% stock cos I did the same run and got the same numbers that he got. And mine is 100% stock. Until you feel the torque and power of a 3 litre diesel bmw engine, you’ll never understand lol
Experience from my Grandads 435d has told me that diesel torque is mega would still choose it any day over my Mums partners remapped Focus ST better on fuel as well being a diesel.@@ianmush6278
Look it's far quicker than most things on the road standard. Effortless power and torque. There aren't that many cars that can touch it even standard. It's got a lot of power. Also it's nice to drive slowly. It's absolutely fantastic this car. It's not all about speed this has the full package. Amazing car.
BMW no longer sells police cars after the death of an officer and other fires. I've had a 640d for a year now and while it was nothing like as quick as my model 3 performance it is way more fun. I've got a vxr8 as well and that wins over them all, can't be high reving engines.
@@minhajuddin1769 yeah it’s decent but nothing far apart from the 3L diesel, either way, you might as well buy an M3 or M4 considering they’re only like £2/3k more than a 40i…

who did you use for the mapping?

Best quality Pov I've ever seen

I’d love to see a 640d video
ive had one. It drives like a boat
Excellent review no stupid comments thanks .
My one 430d is stage 2. And all aluminium I paint for gloss black looks perfect now.
I have a bmw x5 40d..its rapid. I dont no if its been previously mapped but stock its 315bhp and 600nm torque

435d has the same engine but with an additional turbo
My 1999 E38 200BHP ,ID love 47 mpg thats very good .

Is getting the tail out illegal in the uk? I mean can you get fine from the cameras etc?
Never heard of anyone getting a fine from that
Technically it can fall under driving without due care and attention. You’d have to be seen by a copper
is this model that you drive in the video had the m adaptive suspension or is the normal one
Yes mate eco pro comfort sport and sport plus if you knock the gearbox left the gearbox is also in sport mod
Is it worth getting one if I don’t do many motorway miles?
I'd personally go for a petrol
How is the consumption
Just out of curiosity, what's wrong with the cup holders? 😂
They don't hold some drinks in place. Especially bottles.
It would be interesting if you can do the review of the Opel/Vauxhall Astra OPC

Just got to change the oil regular and not keeping it idle for hours then flat out like the cops use them
