Very fascinating! Both Germany and Austria-Hungary have made massive strides and look better off than they were in WWI. However, the struggles they experience now in the 30s are eerily similar to those from before. Although Austria-Hungary seems to be more stable, it is on its 2nd precipice, similar to the first: reform or die. This time it’s between decaying again into the weak state it once was or reforming once more into something anew and being able to stand tall on its own as an independent Danubian great power.
Even though it went through many hardships the Empire endured! And with Blessed Karl at the helm it will evolve into the Danubian Federation! All Hail the Habsburgs! A.E.I.O.U

Me and my buddies did A whole reichspact game picking a bunch of the puppets of Germany and aligned countries. I got Austria Hungary and I listened to all of this. I was able to form Danubian Federation and go on to be the 2nd superpower in the 2nd weltzkrieg. Swinging the Italian federation and Bulgaria into Don Adribua and then entering the 2nd weltzkrieg with both in tow. Best game experience of my life. Now wish me luck in the coming war with the entente
As a Hungarian who greatly studied the 1918-1920 period, I love the fact that you included Károlyi. Although I do not fully agree on what you did to him; never theless, it is incredible interesting. (Amazing work do not get me wrong, really it is truly a masterpiece, but the pronunciation is horribe. However, do not get me wrong this is only cobstructive crticism as I said previously it is AMAZING.)
Uniting and making sure the Danubian Federation rise and rescuing the Kaiserreich as the Internationale and Moscow Accord slowly breach Berlin is one of the best feelings this mod can give you, by the end of the battle, Austria, no, the Danubian Federation, had it's place in the sun, as the true alternative to Syndicalism, nay, it's replacement even.

Since KR gas no canonical outcome of the Second Weltkrieg a Cold War would depend on who wins. If the German wins against the Syndies and Russia, maybe they have a Cold War situation with the Entente, maybe with the US, depends on what happens in the US, since the US can go in so many directions. If the Germans lose it's easy to imagine a Cold War over a divided Europe between the Syndicalists in the West and the Russian nationalists in the east (and who knows if the Entente is still around and what shape US, Japan and China are in).
There is one thing I dislike is that Habsburgs having the capacity to act mostly independent of Berlin. In the later stages of Weltkrieg, AH practically became Germany's puppet state. I can hardly believe the Dual Monarchy would prefer/can act independently after the war considering their empire would be a cornerstone for the post war European order. What I can imagine is that Germany and AH would be like two inseperable great powers in the world stage that stand together to make sure their European Order wouldn't collapse. Just like EU being built upon cordial partnership of Germans and French after the ww2, Germans and AH would also have inseperable and cordial relationship and would need eachother to keep their European order in check. To elaborate a little further, AH would be in Reichspakt from the beginning of the game and once another great war starts, they would immediately join it. Also Germans would be far more active in AH's Balkan affairs or it's civil wars because they are two great empires that fundamentally need eachother.
I believe some of that is a conceit for the sake of gameplay. If AH was locked in with Germany, you basically have a playable German puppet. AH stil aligns with Germany in all AI paths, players get a little more options
@@kaisercatcinema I get it, it is more based on gameplay necessities otherwise Reichspakt would be too op and steamroll its enemies. I also respect that you chose to make AH more independent instead of making Reichspakt weaker for no reason. But my point still stands, the two Empires would be closely linked with eachother and probably Germans would see AH's wars with itself and in Balkans as a way to kickstart it's military complex. It would be like warm up for them before the big wars hit but thats still my idea. Overall I respect your choices in such a world. Also I believe if the two empires could interact with eachother more in the game like in a flavour way etc, it would be better.
A successful weltkrieg would mean that AH has to be competent enough to be able to stay independent as this would allow the Kaiserreich to actually have the resources to send it all towards the Entente. AH then would not be too fond of Germany to be considered as a junior partner in an alliance of supposed equals. The Kaiserreich would ride the high of the victory in the Weltkrieg and see "Comrade" Karl to be someone that they shouldn't be too close with.

Because in Kaiserreich lore, Weltkrieg still takes years and its a bloody affair. Even in a case of victory, we would see Central Powers almost starved and in dire need of rebuilding. AH and Germany would be even closer than they were pre war. Also even if AH being more competent, they would still suck at war and Germany would still have to save AH from collapse. So still many things about their power dynamics would remain the same because even in a victory, war still plays out similiarly just that central powers win in the end.

I also respect that you chose to make AH more independent instead of making Reichspakt weaker for no reason. But my point still stands, the two Empires would be closely linked with eachother and probably Germans would see AH's wars with itself and in Balkans as a way to kickstart it's military complex. It would be like warm up for them before the big wars hit but thats still my idea. Overall I respect your choices in such a world.
Also I believe if the two empires could interact with eachother more in the game like in a flavour way etc, it would be better.
A successful weltkrieg would mean that AH has to be competent enough to be able to stay independent as this would allow the Kaiserreich to actually have the resources to send it all towards the Entente.
AH then would not be too fond of Germany to be considered as a junior partner in an alliance of supposed equals. The Kaiserreich would ride the high of the victory in the Weltkrieg and see "Comrade" Karl to be someone that they shouldn't be too close with.
@@mosesracal6758 Except it doesnt. AH being more competent is one thing but post war they would need eachother more than anything. Because in Kaiserreich lore, Weltkrieg still takes years and its a bloody affair. Even in a case of victory, we would see Central Powers almost starved and in dire need of rebuilding. AH and Germany would be even closer than they were pre war. Also even if AH being more competent, they would still suck at war and Germany would still have to save AH from collapse. So still many things about their power dynamics would remain the same because even in a victory, war still plays out similiarly just that central powers win in the end.
