Once again, Patrick takes us through an Airstream as ONLY HE CAN. No body does such a magnificent job of efficiently demonstrating the features of an Airstream. His demos are almost like watching a ballet.
Note too (if I remember correctly) that the inexpensive line with single axels, the axels need to be repacked or greased every 3,000 miles. The more expensive models like this have never-lube hubs. BIG DIFFERENCE.
Nice unit. However I have found that I prefer some sort of recliner layout to a dinette. Many RVs are offering that as an option nowadays. A must in my case.
Excellent to see that Airstream has upgraded their Solar and battery option to a reasonable size! I’m curious if there are options/plans to increase battery capacity or option in an induction cooktop instead of the propane stove? I’m also curious if the undercarriage for the tanks and batteries is still just 12v heating pads/strips or if they’re ducted yet? This is VERY tempting, I miss my old 23FB, it was great while it lasted! 😎
That is the best walkthrough tour of any RV I have ever watched. Fantastic job as you covered absolutely everything we could want to know. Maybe someday I will trade my Avion in for a new Airstream, but not just yet although the new creature comforts look enticing.
Love this unit! Traded my 16x for the 23…feels like the Taj Mahal! Able to run everything off grid. Use your power wisely and this trade wind is awesome.
This is the american icon..not fiberboard junk. ..you can't build this in your backyard..this requires mad tools and skills . Massive resale and last a lifetime..many of these popular campers are approaching Bambi prices now . for Styrofoam and something ? Just been pointing out airstream To a friend timeless also. Badass.. Bonicheli always the best demos on earth..
Had a manual awning n a non-airstream travel trailer in yr2006. Seriously my main awning has never been manual again. Paying big bucks for these airstream trailers an electric awning is no excuse. 🍻
@@noelhayes323 manual awnings r a pain in the arse. If u camp where wind is unpredictable, u boil sitting in the sun because u cant move fast enough to close up a manual awning before wind grabs it. So to be jumping up n down opening n closing a stupid awning gets to be tiring when you're not 20 yrs old anymore. Furthermore u have to fully open it, with an electric you don't have to fully open it. It ain't glamping with a manual awning imo. 🍻
Are there any plans to do the trade wind in the 16-19 ft range? Almost retired and planning major off grid excursions to Montana, etc. 23ft is a little big for national forest roads.
Really like this attempt for more remote camping. Would like a model that is 25' max on exterior for small sites. And Need more solar and CCC! and option for cassette toilet. As others have noted: prefer recliners, over a dinette. Deal killer: Vinal wrapped mdf cabinet doors for that huge price tag!!!!
What would be the ideal towing vehicle? Not underpowered or allow sway? Total most likely $200k! If I was going to spend this much it would be with Patrick.
Yeah I saw another Airstream video and it only had like 730lbs of capacity. I don’t get why they are making them with such small cargo capacities. Especially considering that’s before option weights.
Fill your fresh water tank and you have enough cargo capacity left for your single carry on bag. Get some weather tight totes and put all your gear in the bed of the pickup and you can take another 1000 or so pounds with you instead of over loading the trailer
With only 650 lbs of ccc and deducting 75lbs for the add ons, that's 575 lbs. To boon dock with a full tank of fresh water, deduct another 300lbs you're left with 275 lbs for food, clothing, personal items, kitchen utensils, and people. How is this a safe situation? It seems different axles are needed.
Theres a plethera of nice travel trailers on the market, but theres still nothing that gets your motor running like an Air Stream...Still king of the hill...
Someone please enlighten me on the great (expensive) reasons why Airstreams are better. I’m not being cynical. I’m really curious. They seem cramped by not having slides.
Sure, there’s a lot of campers out there for half the price that have larger fridges, big screen tvs, fireplaces, washer/dryer, lounge chairs/couches, slide-outs for making more elbow room…. But fast forward 8 or 9 years of use, you start to run into campgrounds that won’t let you have a camper over 10 years old because so many people are willing to abandon them, leaving the campground to have to dispose of it. Styles change, and if that was the type of camper you wanted, maybe 10 years later, you’d want something different. But an Airstream…. Panache. It’s about the styling. The longevity: many ancient Airstreams are still on the road. The way they’re built lends themselves to repairability. People that love them, tend to keep them a very long time. And there’s a community of kindred spirits, join the Airstream club and go to rallies, travel together on caravans… it’s more of a lifestyle. Often, you’re out away from the camper, traveling to see Yellowstone or the Tetons, and you’re using the camper for a place to sleep and make meals, not really spending all day in the small space.
Some Airstreams are larger than others; and while few and far between, there were a few made with slide-outs. They were rather heavy, requiring a larger tow vehicle, and didn’t offer ‘that’ much additional space, but at a much greater additional price. So, they retired having slides from their line-up. (They also had a 5th wheel version at one time, but that didn’t last long either.)
Essa criação de vocês é bom com um vaso inteligente refil muito perfume Wi-Fi pra tudo e com uma lixeira inteligente auto vedante número de esgoto e caixa d'água aí fica completo um abraço
Its definitely over engineered, hence the price. For $127k I'll just buy a cabin by the lake. All trainers, even Airstreams, move down the road and lose value and things fall apart. If I was rich, than maybe

So glad they're adding the 23 Twin to a newer design... Best layout for couples ever!
We agree!
Actually, there are a TON of 4cyl / V6 "smaller SUVs" that can tug 7200lbs of weight and so this little cheeky 23 Twin is a boss!
Very nice❤❤many neat little features. Wonderful rolling hotel.
I hope Airstream is giving this guy kickbacks because this dude is knowledgeable as hell in regards to these RVs.

Love watching these reviews. I swear if I’m blessed to buy one, I’m driving to your location! 😊

There’s 36 steps required to setup the sunshade and I’m supposed to put it away every time I go inside? Why ever bother?

You’re gonna burn that trailer down! You left the burner on during your demo!!
I’m not sure what burner you’re referring to, but I’m always careful when using propane.
Inside tour begins at 11:10.
god luv ya!
I like this layout. I saw one with home office?
Can you get it without the dinette? I would rather have two comfortable recliners.

Thanks for visiting
Great walk around.
Nice trailer! I think automatic leveling jacks should be standard for the price.
Almost perfect, the drop down storage areas under the bed and dining seating should be drawers.
I wish they would make one with east/west twin size bunk beds and a front queen. I don't need the oversized 30FB Bunk.

Was that a 25-minute video in one continuous take? Wow. Great job. This is my next trailer.
and hopefully purchasing it from Patrick.
Only 1 Tv and that's in the bedroom? No TV in the living area. No couch in the dining or lliving area either. What's the price?
One TV to many.
❤❤❤please more 33fb show...walkthrough...more😂😂❤
Is there a way to increase storage capacity? Would helper springs or coil add ons help?
Go easy, dude! Slamming and banging everything!

Filling the fresh water tank takes away about 300#s of that NCC.
Sometimes less is more. We had a 23FBT and loved it. The wife saw a 27FBT, and we upgraded. Now we have space for all the stuff we don’t need.

I am coming from NY. How do you do sales tax? I also tow with a hensley arrow. Can your techs install that onto the Tradewind??

why doesn't airstream have power leveling
No travel trailers self level. Stabilizers only. Go with a fifth wheel if you want self leveling.

Спасибо за видео и за вашу работу
Do like the automatic in and out awnings, if I have to roll in and out will never use it.
Ugh! Been waiting for a 27fb Tradewind, and they went smaller??!!!
Probably because it's heavier than the other models with the extra batteries and solar panels.
I have noticed that since the 2020 22FB Caravel you guys haven’t done a walk through video on 22FB Caravel’s, is there a reason ?
Its in queue for 2025 since the interior was refreshed.
I’m hoping Airstream offers a single axle in the Tradewind series next
We dont believe that is in the radar.
100K base and manual stabilizers and awning ?
