In fact, the only report that I remember was that she wasn't getting along with other staffers there but had not chosen to leave yet. So if true, what news source did Trump read about her wanting to quit before she was actually fired? Furthermore if there was no news source before this firing then one can assume Trump knew full well she was going to fired and just lied to her that he didn't? Of course, being caught in a lie seems to be a habit for Trump so this would not be surprising either.
