I sponsored Bobs 23rd win in his world champion feat at Powderhall and there was a huge crowed who appreciated Every stride that Bob took just an unbelievable a great Champion with lovely owners and in my life time there will never Be another Bob.
you will get greyhound men saying this would have give him a run and this would have beat him nothing would have beaten him he is a frankel legend of the greyhound era he did return home after stud duties in usa and then germany he died of heart failure aged 11 at owner jessie keverns home in 1994 thanks for the memories bob RIP
i have been going greyhound racing since 1970 and i have seen some great dogs but i must say i have never seen a dog to compare with Ballyregan Bob. countless track records. I and many others believed that if the White City had not closed down he would have definitely have won the derby. The track at Wimbledon was to sharp for him
There should be a film made of him and Scurlogue Champ. It’s a true fairytale story. Also, such class and maturity in presenting back then, where did it all go?
wonderfull video. i've been looking for something like this for ages, it was soo hard to find. rename so younger people looking into bobs history can find it? Otherwise... Best 45 mins ive ever spent on youtube! thank you so much x

Such a blast from the past had me in tears, what greyhounds scurlogue champ and ballyregan bob were.
@jeff griffin 47:57 awful conditions for Greyhound racing, amazing how Bob and the other dogs could see through that blizzard !!
champ bob and swift angel... would of been a great race

Nunca entendi oque aconteceu com scurlegue champ naquela corrida com bob?queria ver os 2 numa corrida um contra um.
champ stopped chasing distance probably too short anyway to beat bob at that distance
I saw him get beat at Harringay went up to the first bend and got done.
In my opinion he would not have won a Derby.
