    nice job👍 that is the key to no get mothle in light metalics color get complete coverage and even and good overlap.

    I learned paint from a german dude from bmw and between each coat after 4hrs if you hand rub with pressure it hardens the coat. Then subsequent coats you have a smooth surface which creates the depth. With metalics hand rubbing can get a metal finish if metal particles bond from pressure rubbing.

    I have an issue with silvers.
    Even though I have a good match I still see that the section of the panel I painted is not a sparkly not as metallic as the factory.
    under certain angle you can see the "flatness" in my paint.
    anybody has a suggestion on gun size , tip size, nozzle size, pressure or whatever I can do to help my issue greatly appreciate it thank you

    Hello Gabriel nice job, I have little time in painting practice, I currently use Axalta systems (Dupont) an excellent brand, but in Mexico the distributors do not give the necessary support, I will switch to PPG systems, I hope to have better PPG Support In Mexico, greetings .

    I am an old painter, I can tell by your videos you are a top end painter by the vehicles your doing. Picked up some great tips from you. One question I know about starting off the panel. I have never seen anyone ever lean over the work they just sprayed. What I mean is when you paint a front end you start at the bottom of the fender go up the fender lean over the fresh sprayed area and go on to the hood. I was taught to come of the panel center hood go across hood and down fender so I am not learning into wet material . Brian

    Clear coat driving your drop coat is # reason for striping an modelling to high of air pressure when clearing

    can you help me out. I have a blue 2009 honda accord belize blue ppg code is b551p-a. When I search it up, it has a PRIME and a VARIANT. What are they? Is variant a darker more rich looking tone? I noticed for my car, there is a 4 cyclinder version and I have the v6 version, and the color on mine seems to be more darker/rich looking while the 4cylinder is lighter, and uglier belize blue.

      +04av6 hey brother not sure I can help you I would go with prime it's not really possible for me to tell you which one to choose.

      ah okay, ill just try one. I guess sometimes maybe the bumpers look slightly off from the body color because its plastic right?

    Nice job, no wet bed??? How much reducer in the silver
    ?

    • @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS
      @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS  7 лет назад +1

      +Andrew Green no I didn't need to on this job 😀 since the only thin blending was the fenders so by tacking I eliminated the sand piling of the base. 10% reducer

    • @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS
      @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS  7 лет назад +2

      +Andrew Green but I would recommend a bit more than that perhaps 15 to even 20% just be aware of the coverage

    • @andygreen8217
      @andygreen8217 7 лет назад

      MOTIVATED PAINTERS Thanks that's good to know. We don't use a wet bed in the uk as a rule, although people have problems with some light colours. did your PPG rep recommend or just your idea having had issues??

    • @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS
      @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS  7 лет назад +2

      +Andrew Green a bit of both trial and error and just constantly trying to get better paint jobs but my reps have been really helpful here as well!
