Had a GR II and loved it, and would mostly love this. But I need dioptre adjustment - or I'd need to get my reading glasses out of my pocket every time I take a shot. :(
I also had gr ii. You could look at clearviewer attachment. See if they can make you something. I would have bought one, but they dont ship to UK anymore so I sold my GRii...
Instant buy for me if they make one with an evf in it: same shape, remove lcd if necessary. Instant buy and I'm not rich. Had the GRii and loved it esp for the flash but could not live with the slow and iffy autofocus or the photo process concentration-loss without a viewfinder. Tempted to get the iiix and use an ovf, but that will prevent use of flash...not to mention flash would add bulk so might as well go with a comparatively big fuji x100 series camera... Ricoh plus evf is an Iphone killer for photography enthusiasts imo, i.e. massive sales potential as it fits in your pocket instead of a phone and doesnt distract you either. You can have a cheap phone with weak camera on it if you have a ricoh gr in your pocket. But without a proper viewfinder, I think the phone does a similar job. With a viewfinder, every pro and amateur might buy a gr.
Yes, I still can't believe Ricoh are not making a hotshoe mounted EVF for the APS-C GR cameras. They've done so for GX100/200 cameras and GXR as well. What's stopping them making one for oh so popular GR(x)? They could charge $300-$400 for it as additional accessory and people would buy it.
sorry, but unless you really need that range you don't need more than a GRii. There is nothing wrong with AF on the GRii or sharpness or anything else. If you need such fast AF, then you use snap focus. People are to lazy to practice their focusing skills these days. The GR is a true street camera. End of! Learn how to use it.
I think we don't understand each other. Nowhere in the video am I saying there is anything wrong with GR II/III sharpness. The GR IIIx images look sharper, it may be only perceived sharpness but there is definitely something extra they achieved with the 26mm lens. And for AF - it is a known fact that GR cameras (all of them) hunt for focus in low or less than ideal light. Snap focus is not a solution for every situation and GR cameras are not just for street photography. End of! :)
I still use my GRIV Digital with the tiny sensor. Gives me great DOF.
And you can mount a teleconvertor!
@@PetrGardianTV ok that's new to me, thx.
What do you prefer? Leica CL with 18mm and 23mm vs Ricoh Gr3 and Ricoh Gr3x?
Leica CL with 23mm and GR3x :)

That’s difficult with LCD-only camera. Not sure if there’s any adjustment/attachment possible at all!

Ever since I received my GR lllx I hardly ever take my Fuji X100V with me anymore
I understand what you mean, GR IIIx is a great image making tool. But I would hold on the X100V as well, they are precious :)
