She sounds horrible. And what the hell is she wearing? Why does she always look like a lounge singer? For someone that's trying to make a comeback you'd think she'd step her game up. She's been rocking the same tired hairstyle for years. Do something else, heifer. I can see why her career went absolutely nowhere.
Nadia C - Lol. I'm assuming you're not a fan of Karyn's. Recently, she was on a live chat (it's on RUclips) and she talked about the Soul Train Awards situation again. She said recently someone told her that Fantasia was chosen to sing Superwoman only because she was the more current/popular singer. I didn't understand that reasoning because Tevin Campbell performed his own songs at that same award show. I guess the difference is Tevin Campbell still did shows throughout years. Karyn White just started doing shows recently.
@@ShantayFearce I don't think this is completely true. Babyface said after it happened that Fantasia was only suppose to sing Shoop. She asked about Superwoman in rehearsals. Once she asked about adding it Babyface agreed. It was done on the spot. Also I don't think people realize that Karyn was invited to sing the song at the Soul Train Awards years ago during a LaFace tribute. At the last minute she backed out and that tribute was scrapped from the show. This didn't go over very well with Babyface. She's fickle. No one wants to deal with that type of person. I actually understood why she was shut out of his tribute. The song hadn't mattered to her in damn near 20 years now all of a sudden it was so important to you to sing it.
@@nadiac2268- Ok, that actually sounds more of a accurate reason to why things went down the way they did with the Soul Train situation. Karyn White's reasoning didn't make sense to me because Tevin Campbell wasn't a popular artist at the time and he performed for the Babyface tribute. She even said in one interview that she ran into Babyface years before the tribute and he invited her to sing on stage, but she refused because she hadn't been singing, so I assumed that was why she wasn't invited for his tribute . Every time, she's asked about the situation her explanation slightly changes. She did say she was hurt, but I didn't get that if no one knew she was back singing. Do you think she's a bit too entitled??
@@ShantayFearce Oh yeah I forgot she did say she turned down the opportunity to sing with Babyface. I imagine that didn't go over so well. She does some very odd things to me. One thing about Babyface is that he does look out for artists. So turning him down was stupid because who knows where that moment would have led her. Babyface tours all the time and she could've used that exposure. I do think she's bigger in her head than she realizes. Jay King is not her manager. I think I saw a poster say her boyfriend is her manager. His name is Derrick.
@@nadiac2268- Oh my, you're kidding.; that guy seems like an opportunist, but I could be wrong. I just got that conclusion from the live chat she did last month and he was trying too hard to be apart of her moment/ interview...he kept oddly smiling into the camera and talking in the background. It just seems like she's more beneficial to him than he is to her. I don't know if you know, but she did a movie with him. I think it only received the little attention it did because of her fans and promotion. I thought he was supposed to be a movie director?
She cannot sing the way she did when she first sang this song
She still can sing but not the level of young Karen White. She ain’t singing like she used to. I pray for her because only she knows her story
