Man I remember watching this video 13 years ago and completely forgot about it until it popped into my head randomly a few weeks ago. Me and the friend of mine who sent it to me have spent the last 2 weeks trying to remember the name of the song and the artist and he finally remembered it tonight. This song and the video make my brain so happy and I’m glad both are in my life again .

This song (nova) is composed of from a sample from an old brazilian song called Samba de Bencao by Vinicius de Moraes and Baden Powel. All of them are good but it is not a pure original, like most of Amon Tobin's music afaik. Enjoy
you're correct, most of Amon's early work (pre 2007) used samples of various old records. But now he uses found sounds and foley recordings that he's made himself, mostly.
When my future child is born I will play this and wonder what he/she will accomplish in life lying next to my baby mom amazed that we got through it :)

Kitty Love ?how evil it sounds? you have one bassackwards of an outlook cause in no way is this song evil it may be a little ominous but definitely not evil.
the movie fits brilliantly. i find it better this way than having hyper realistic portrations of the universe. the video has the same calm and mellow mood as the song. nicely put together! :)
HypnoGlisten ISAM was a damn masterpiece plus he did different things around that time. I know his old stuff was just sampling vinyls but still this song shines ya know?
I don't think they're as good, but as a long time dilla/tobin fan I've always enjoyed Lethetette, they make a lot of tracks, not everything's for everyone, but if you dig, there's gold to be found!
Love amon tobin first discovered his music when ES footwear released their first skateboard video MENIKMATI all but maybe one or two songs used in it was amon tobin. Basically the whole video was edited to fit his music. So sick fell in love with amon tobin style

They used his version of it is all I was saying. Most everything from this period in his career was sampled from records.
