Kumar Gaurav don’t know about the efficiency but for sure Maruti’s old K-series were the kickass engines out there!!! Its got more power than what being delivered to the wheel. Its the best engine for tuning...if you own a Kseries swift, just slap a turbo charger with new custom tuned ECM and proper tuning...the car will show its blasting performance. One has to have the balls to drive it!!👍

The BS6 diesel will have low sulphur content as compared to BS4 fuel. This sulphur acts as a lubricant on Diesel engines. So if u have lesser sulphur content that means less lubrication on the old BS4 engines, which BS6 engines take care by other means. I am from maritime industry and we are also having similar and more stringent emission norms from 1/01/2020. All the old engines are therefore required to have additives to the fuel. So if that’s the case, how are you guys saying that the BS6 fuel won’t damage the BS4 engines (diesel) ? Kindly throw some light on this ! If I am wrong do correct me.
In Assam, in case of cars over Ex showroom price of Rs 7 lakhs,there is an option of Registration for 5 years. I bought my petrol car in 2017 and Registered it for 5 years. Even if the problems come it will be only with the injectors and not the engine and that too only after 50 or 60k kms and diesel engine oil formulations are tweaked to compensate the extreme low levels of sulphur in bs6 diesel which acts as a lubricant in injectors

Dude , Adblue is more like fuel, It burns along with millage(kilometres) For example in trucking industry we need to fill to for every tank full of Diesel And leaking adblue tank empty with choke the exhaust system leading to limp mode.

Don’t go by what manufacturers say. BS4 vehicles running on BS6 fuel will start getting problems, reduced mileage and engine damage.

after 15 years, you will have a hard time maintaining a petrol car. Electricity will become the norm and petrol will be an expensive luxury
