Couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong after reading the manual 3x and going to the brand website. Found this video, its clean and my clean light is finally out!!! Thanks for posting
After trying to figure this out but getting nowhere fast, I searched on RUclips and found your video for how to get that red clean light to go out! Thank you!
Thanks for posting this, Gregg. I was not able to get the light to turn off, wasn’t aware of how to activate the clean cycle. You wouldn’t believe what came out of this machine! Took a few cycles but finally the water was running clean and the light went off.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help the rest of us! I have been using your video for a couple of years and I just realized that I don’t want to take your efforts for granted. You took the time to educate us! That is greatness and so helpful. I mean it! Thank you!
Love your videos! The red light came on on my kcup thing and I forgot how to clean it. Thank you for making this video! It's great! I used all pure vinegar and no water just to make sure it cleaned it well, and ran it through several times. Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year!!!!!
Read the manual from the Cuisinart website for the SS-15, page 14. You should run the whole reservoir through by initiating the clean cycle until the reservoir is empty. Thanks for the vid.
Glad I was able to help that’s why I make those videos I watch a lot of RUclips videos myself to figure out things lol I’m hoping I get more subscribers to
I keep an upside down ramekin on the single cup side. A coffee cup goes onto the ramekin and that cuts down on the amount of splashes. Thanks for the vid!
Dad’s got the same model. Red clean light is not on but all three cup size lights are on and that side isn’t working. Hopefully I’ll be able to clean it tmrw and it will work but thought I’d see if you had some insight. Thank you!
Suuuuuuch a great NYC accent! I’m guessing Brooklyn, but maybe SI, Queens, or d’Bronx? 😊 Regardless: thanks for your helpful video. I too am a “kawfee drinka” and I need that damn red light to go off!
Bro...you're a lifesaver. That red light was driving me crazy.

One cycle of water and vinegar and two cycles of plain water did the trick. I had no idea how to get that @#$% red light off. Thank you.
THANK YOU! You’d THINK that Cuisinart would put that in the darn manual. They don’t.
That worked great
Thank you!

Remember to remove the filter first. I made the mistake of not removing it and coffee tasted funky. Lol.
Suuuuuuch a great NYC accent! I’m guessing Brooklyn, but maybe SI, Queens, or d’Bronx? 😊 Regardless: thanks for your helpful video. I too am a “kawfee drinka” and I need that damn red light to go off!
The other light of the big size doesn’t turn off. Do you know what I need to do? Thanks in advance
How about the other side?
Can you use regular tap water I don't have a filter. If not, distilled water?
Yes, tap is fine
Just make sure you remove the filter before cleaning.
I have this coffee maker and hate it. It doesn't pierce the kcups properly.
My clean light didn't turn off after cleaning
How many brews till the red light comes on?
Hi I never counted but I think every 4 month’s and I go through a Costco case of 120 in 2 weeks so on a guess around 1000 brew cycles
I came to figure out how to turn off the light, but I stayed for the accent.
Make sure to take the filter from the tank out before doing this
I tried this but it doesn’t work 🤔
Just press the 4 oz and 6 oz at the same time and run a cup of water through it and it goes off
That will make the lights go off but without the vinegar it will not D scale the machine
"You have to descale it... Kind of like a Kurig..."..... AND EVERY OTHER COFFEE POT FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS.
real coffee may wish to remove the charcoal filters first
ON AND OFF LITE DONT WORK
Be a man and drink the left over vinegar water mix…. :)
Thank you!
Thank you
Thank you!
