I played HP1 not too long ago and I'm quite surprised how many small improvements were made in HP2. They have taken away the castle grounds roaming. You no longer have to walk all the way to Hagrid's Hut or Quidditch Stadium. If you enjoyed the roaming, you should play the PS2 version. The game is also more clear on how to get more health, which is by collecting 10 wizard cards. Every wizard card you collect will show you how far you're to acquiring a new health bar. Small, but effective improvement over HP1. Some of the platforming and camera control can still be a bit annoying, but overall it's a much better version than HP1 already. We also have the PS1 and PS2 version up, which are both different. 0.
The loading times where a killer though, especially if you didn’t look after your discs, then the loading screens wouldn’t load sometimes, had to keep saving at every door before going through incase it didn’t save 😂. Playing legacy now though 😛
The GameCube version of this looks so much better then the ps2 version that I have. I recently ordered a GameCube console and a copy of this game, so keen.
It’s a warm summer night outside, but you have the AC on in your house and it’s chilly. It’s late at night and everyone in your house is sound asleep but you, playing this game on the Gamecube all comfy. You’re playing while indulging in your favorite snacks. You get to explore Hogwarts while enjoying every second of it. The Gryffindor Common Room brings you coziness and peace. The music fills you with nostalgia and comfort. You imagine what it would be like if you were there. Life is good and easy. Your only duty for the summer is to enjoy vacations. The nostalgia is real🥲
It's so weird to hear this in English! I've always played these games in my native language because as a kid my brother and I didn't understand English yet haha
I asked for this game from a mall Santa when I was 9. And I darn sure got it. And I played this thing at least a dozen times BEFORE I found out the PS2 version was so different 😂
still remember how years ago, back when I was a kid, this version of Harry Potter 2 (since I also have it on the PC) taught me how to say "dormitory" the British way, and even though i'm American and from outside of DC, I prefer to say dormitory and Mazda both the British way lol, also back in 12th grade in 2015 or 2016 I pronounced it the British way in my internship class once, and my teacher corrected me, so I said that's how they say it in England, and she responded saying "Ok well we're not in England" haha 😅😄, but then at one of the holiday dances at my school I went to after graduating, a year or two later she told me her daughter likes to do the same thing pronouncing things in British English also haha
This game is sooo brilliant I truly missed it in honest they should remake it tho. For example improve the graphics and all that then add few spells and clothing for Harry to be able to wear. Then make game bit longer by adding my sub quests. Lol 😅I mean it will be good profit bet people will buy it on Xbox or PlayStation. Bet sad no one has thought or did remake the of it and remake other Harry Potter games that was good
Litterly bought a Wii for my niece so I can get her all the rad games for kids but playing it to the dark arts lessons lol she's gonna get mad in some parts but at least she gets the Harry Potter experience
This version of HP2 (for the 6th gen consoles) is completely broken. You always fall off the platforms, die, lose beans etc. The PS1 version is much better. However, HP1 for 6th gen is decent and I enjoyed it.

This game was brilliant. The exploring of the school and the different classrooms made the game feel so big and open!
I wish they did that with the new Harry Potter

51:11 but you can't explore the castle as freely as on ps2 since the gamecube version lives you teleporting
@@DiegoParedesHD is it more "open world" on PS2? I found it funny it loaded between areas but I could fly and land at the entry points lol
thank you for the comfy nostalgia bro. always

Oh the nostalgia I have from this game. I can still quote most of the dialogue while watching this haha.

Played the shit out of this game when i had it for ps2
Ah, the memories.
Game: “You have gained a new spell - Lumos”
Harry: *falls down*
Remember Christmas 2002 when i got this game…. Good memories
I used to have this on PS1.
I peaked at 9 years old when I beat this game in one day lol
Could you fly around hogwarts on a broom in the game cube version or just in the playstation version?
You can fly around on Gamecube, Xbox and PS2 however the Gamecube and Xbox versions are restricted to certain areas of landing only
All spells:
Diffindo
Expelliarmus
Avifors
Incendio

The flying books in the library.

no
I only got as far as the third night as a kid and then rages quit haha
what's the difference between the Pal and the NTSC version? I think you just wanted to play it again 😏
comparing to the PS2 port the gamecube and xbox one looked more refined but it still has less content.

Am I the only one finding this game to be terribly buggy? The first cutscene involving snape had the models randomly showing "T-pose"
Where is the wizard card 53?
It sucks that PC version is just reskin of the first game while this was a new game from ground up with completly new features.
Then a year later they re made sorcerers stone for gamecube using assets from this game 😂
