I'm happy to see there's a lot of people acknowledging that this was originally one of my very first longplays on the channel, literally six years ago. I remember having to play this game THREE times: once for practice, second for recording and third for recording again as the previous recording went wrong. I also played the PAL version back then, in which it's impossible to end the game with an A-Rank on the first run. I was always really iffy about this and told myself that **maybe** one day I'll play the NTSC version and get an A-Rank. Well, here's the day lol. I guess I held this game off for so long because I was scared to accidentally miss a few coins and end the game with B-rank once again. Ironically enough, the A-Rank needs 100M score and I ended with 124M. It's probably not that hard to get A-Rank as much as I was stressing it.
Anyway, fun game, but I really like Nintendo games in general. I feel like you can hardly go wrong with these. Only complaints are the ranking system that puts an unnecessary layer of stress on the player and the controls being quite awful. The problem is that your Poltergeist 3000 sometimes automatically switches aim to something else and it overall just seems very difficult to get a "feel" for controlling the Poltergeist.
Joga the last of partir 2
You can't get an A in the regular mansion?! ✋🤬🤚
Would have loved to known that 20 years ago!
The NA version of the game was released on November 18, not 17
And now that original longplay video is gone/unlisted/whatever.
I always love the end when Luigi cries and laughs due to the relief of having his brother save and sound again. It puts a bright smile on my face and i even tear up a little because i can relate to this moment when you worry about your brother and then finally everything turns out fine. Amazing game even after all those years. Thanks for the Longplay :)
Agree
It goes to show you that a brother look after his own brother, even if they’re trapped in a painting inside a mansion.
This game is a Halloween tradition of mine. Playing it at night with all the lights turned off. It really sets the atmosphere perfectly.
Me too
Cheers to that! This is my favorite Mario game of all time!
Wouldn’t say it is my favourite but this game is a definite collectable.
I do love playing through the storyline of this game :)
It got lot of hate back then, but you have to remember it was one of the first introduced to Gamecube.
And for that the disc itself can now cost up to 100$ for clean copy
And then when you win, you turn the light on because you cleared the ghosts?
Nobody cares about your dumb Halloween traditions bro…
It’s good to see someone playing the best Luigi’s scary game.
Sure, Luigi's Mansion 2 and 3 are so much longer and have so much more you can do... But it's missing the eerie and dark atmosphere that the first one has. The game has personality and is not afraid to use its qualities.
I love the fact that luigi hums/whistles to the beat to make himself less scared
Shout out to the Gamecube, a lot of it's games still look great to this day and have not aged much.
This game genuinely creeped me out as a kid
It legit scared the shit out of me as a teenage girl. XD
While I don’t think Dark Moon or Luigis Mansion 2 are bad games, I think they obviously lacked the atmosphere this one had
Agree , used to be scary bc the ghost will jump scare u out of nowhere
@@milisntillanoIk creepy😂😂
You’ve been throwing up some BANGERS recently. This is one of my favorite games of all time
Thanks, appreciated :) got some more good ones coming
Thank you for getting the aspect ratio correct
This game is 20 years old this year.
Yea
no way
I've been waiting for this. ... This year is the 20th anniversary and this is the best way to commemorate this.
It definitely feels weird to feel like you were playing this yesterday and then realize it's been 20 years.
This was one of the first released to Gamecube
And it originally got lot of hate.
Me and brother recently bought back gamecube a year ago
Been working slowly to collect our collection back.
This had to be one of ours to get back.
Clean disc copies can cost well over 100$ now for Luigi’s mansion.
We found just the disc alone in good condition for 65$
I absolutely love this game! 💚
6 Years Ago on 2015, That his first longplay of His Luigi's Mansion
I'm Glad he's Making it on 2021
My favorite game of all time
i love the fact this was uploaded in 1440x1080, more retro game channels should be strictly using this format. i'm so sick of seeing black bars on everything when watching on my ipad or in firefox on my pc. kudos :)
Thanks for noticing!
Thank you so much for the wonderful video because it brought back memories with my late passing father...
GREAT memories!
I loved this game so much...
This game came out right before Doom 3 back in the day but reminds me of the Ghostbusters movie.
I really wish they’d remaster this for switch. I’ve only ever played LM3 but this game looks amazing
Gotta love this game!!!
Good times!
its crazy that nintendo was guts enough to launch a luigi game instead of a mario game with the intro of the gamecube. they took a risk and it worked.
18:19 looks like Nigel Thornberry from The Wild Thornberry’s 😂😂😂
I loved the sequel on the N3DS but the first one is a top notch game too.
Who else used to be scared of the music or got startled by the ghostly noises way before FNAF's Jumpscare became a thing?
me
Thanks to you for you doesn't skip the dialogues like in old version.
Thanks for noticing
0:55 Luigi: Hello?
Awesomeness video please do more thanks
Classic!!
What happens when a Mario Brother starts busting some ghosts?
Good guy.
I just beat this game on a actual hardware today, ive seen someone saying that this is better than 3, tbh i liked it but i think 3 was better for me
Yeah Luigi's Mansion 3 was an awesome one. Sill enjoy that one
Bro este es el mejor survival horror de nintendo y de todo este género Luigi s mansión de gamecube
In my opinion, Luigi is actually more brave than Mario. HEAR ME OUT!! Mario isn't really brave, he's indifferent. He does everything he does because he isn't scared, but bravery is when you do something in spite of your fear. Luigi is terrified when he does heroic things, but he does them anyway, because that's how brave he is. Mario is indifferent. *Luigi* is the brave one.
"I'm gonna take you home to my private zoo!"
Thanks for not scrolling through the dialogue so fast, this time around. Can you do the other Luigi's Mansion games as well?
I'd be very curious to give em a try
I lived happily ever after
2:56:39 2:57:29 I read the entirety of those two sections in both a British and Australian accent in my head, text does amazing things I guess.
Mario has a water jet pack.
Luigi has a carry on vacuum.
2:18:32 see the shadow moving, guys? It's not resembling a "hanging" after all!
Nintendo GameCube turns 20 in November!!!
I’m remember that game, I’m play that game. I love this game - I’m got that game at home
I remember when these graphics were extremely impressive.
I can see why. The Ps2s graphics were nothing compared to this!
Still are, really.
Once upon a time
I heard the PAL version is better since it has a better hidden mansion with more variety, harder difficulty & mirrored layout.
1:22 wawawa

IN THE NORMAL LONGPLAY YOU GOT NEVILLE AND LIDYA GOLD PORTRAITS BUT YOU DID IT WORSE, WHATS HAPPENING TO YOU?
Lol
Luigi's Mansion 2001 Anime
Marioo
Is this 480p? How did you get the aspect ratio correct?
Dunno what you mean. This is 640x480 4:3 original gamecube output upscaled to 1440x1080 4:3 post-recording simply to enhance RUclips bitrate. Hope that answers it
@@longplayarchive I think you may have solved it. Your setup recognizes 640x480. Every setup I try forces 720x480 and then squishes this game. Thank You
Yes 🎮
