One of my earliest uploads oriignally.. which is why it drastically needed a re-upload. The previous version was not only bad quality, but I also sped through the dialogue waaaaay too much. I made sure to proofread all the text in my head this time before pressing A (which I've been doing for a long long time now.. if the text is still too fast, that's your fault lol. I'm not spamming thru the dialogue anymore atleast). What's funny is how this video is still 30 minutes faster. Most levels are about the same speed but I noticed atleast 10 minutes were saved on The Mountain Path compared to my old run so thats nice. Timecodes are also cleaned up, for what that's worth lol
Answer to a popular question.... NO, YOU DO NOT NEED A GBA TO PLAY THIS GAME. I didn't record with a GBA. I believe if you do hook one up, the GBA miniplayer won't appear on your TV but you'll get to play those parts on your handheld instead. I'm not sure though.
Yes you can play 4-player and I bet it's real fun, but never done it. Some puzzles would be a lot faster with 4 players too.
As for the game, it's great if you're playing it for the first time. I've probably played it over 10 times as it was one of my only games when I was young, so that's why I wasn't too excited about re-recording this title. If you've never played it and it looks fun to you, give it a try. It definitely holds up to todays standards.
LongplayArchive i was about to ask if we could link this game to Minish Cap or another Zelda GBA game. Now, i realize this was a stupid question.
Yeah you just need a GBA without cartridge when these games ask for GBA hookup
Please nightmare creatures 2 ps1
Awesome
This game was so much fun to play...by myself with no friends
I gotchu lol
Jk but unfortuneately Same tho🤣
How can you play zelda 4 swords by yourself when I tried it said I needed more players isn't there 4 different link characters in this game
@@nickforest7816 Yea you should be able to play all 4 by yourself but idk
@@emperorrrultimate8081 No you can't I was playing the gameboy advance version and it said you needed 4 gameboy advances to play it
@@nickforest7816 not completely sure but it may be because it’s four swords, not four swords adventures. I never had the game but from what I seen online about it it says that four swords adventures allows you solo play while four swords needs multiplayer.
I remember playing this game when I was younger but got stuck on the cemetery part and never completed it, I hope they remake this game on the switch🤞🏽
Just a port would be enough
Four 17 years old friends playing this games with 4 Gba. A lot of yelling , and a lot of fun. Good memories
Ah yes. And things taking 4x as long because of throwing friends off ledges and random acts of revenge turning into full scale war
The sound is hilarious when all 4 links push something when they’re in sync of grunting 😂😂
It's too bad Triforce Heroes wasn't as fun as this one with single player mode. Another thing I love is how gorgeous this game's art style is. It's like they took that of A Link To the Past and combined it with the effects of Wind Waker. I hope this gets a Switch HD remaster.
The sprites are actually taken from the original four swords
@@garsrandom4358 Some were, but a lot of them were also taken from ALTTP.
Press F to pay respects to Purple Link.
I was lucky enough to play this for a while with my little brother & two of my younger cousins. Right before I went to Iraq. Should’ve brought all of that shit with me, I didn’t know I was going to end up in a unit with so many Nintendo fans.
I absolutely love this game. Such great memories.
1:50:51 Tingle SURVIVED that ground level nuke? That guy's tougher than we thought.
He is canonically immortal, after all.
They say "Hey!" more often than Navi. LOL.
Jeez man, i cant believe the older brother I used to play this with all the time is really dead. the nostalgia hits deep and hard man. hearing the tune at 3:22:51 really hurts man, I always thought those knights were a really intriguing part of the story and thought they should go more into it. Im gonna play this with my other older brother soon, since he didnt really get to experience it much. Man we were young.
May he rest in peace. God bless yall.
My sincere condolences to you and your family ❤️. Are y’all, okay?
@@rgkong8783 you know how it is im sure, it stops hurting as much but the feeling is always there
@@christianhannah7201 I’m here for you.
Ah, finally! This one REALLY needed a re-upload. Thanks.
I think it was you who mentioned I sped through the dialogue?
@@longplayarchive Yep. That was me. But the image quality wasn't very good either. I couldn't find A SINGLE good quality no-commentary playthrough for this game at the time. For none of the Four Swords games, actually. As for this game, though, it would be nice to see Nintendo make a new version on Switch, like SquareEnix is doing with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I also really like way they mixed GameCube graphics with GBA graphics.
Technically the final game in the Child timeline.
It shouldn't be in the child timeline, The time line should ideally be
Skyward sword
The minish cap
Ocarina of time
Downfall timeline / | \ Adult timeline
Four swords Child timeline Windwaker
Foursword adventures Majoras mask Phantom hourglass
A link to the past Twilight princess Spirit tracks
Links awakening Breath of the wild
A link between worlds Breath of the wild 2
Oracle games
Zelda 1
Zelda 2
Yeah I always found that really interesting, it's also the only 2D game with Gerudo (unless you count Ganon or Twinrova)
Thank for this I use to play this all the time in my uncles house when i was in 5th grade because me and my mom had no where to stay , but All I had was this game and it got me through the worst as a kid , always on the go.. but then my uncle was shot one night , and we moved , and this game really makes his Prescence felt so much... so thank you again for this gameplay
They could re release this with no update to the graphics and it would still look so awesome
This game was super challenging, but that’s what made it great, challenging games are super great. And are always great games.
No other game ever made takes me back to my childhood innocence like Zelda thanks for the Vid 🙏❤️
That boss (4 dark ghostly ganondorf classic tennis fight) was awesome !
Between 330 and 347
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA FOUR SWODS ADVENTURES
Yay you uploaded the gameplay for the GameCube version.
This channel is quickly becoming one of my top ten favorite gameplay channel.
Thanks so much for posting this. I just now got serious about playing this game. I got to the beach and could not figure out the four-headed flower thing. I thought you had to hit each head in a certain order.
Then I couldn't figure out the moon village! Sheesh!
This is my favourite zelda game
Awesome video Longplay.
Thanks. I'm just playing this now for the first time (bought it ages ago), and this is helping me whenever I get stuck. Fortunately, that's not happening very often. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much this reminds me of A Link to the Past (one of my favorite games). I wish they'd do port/remaster/remake for Switch with couch co-op. I think this game could be a lot more successful if not for that totally asinine four-GBAs-and-four-link-cables requirement.
Yeah it’s pretty straightforward but can get puzzly at times :) thankyou
This game is so underrated. Best four swords hands down.
I have three siblings. An older brother, an older sister, and a twin sister. One Christmas, we all got dsi's, and this game was free to download. For like two years, we would play this together allll the time. I was always pink. 😌 I'm not sure what happened to my last dsi (I washed the first one in the sink), but my brother's doesn't have this game anymore, sadly. I have no idea how I'd even download it again.
I don't want to make you feel bad, Emilyyy, but first, I must say that this was actually one of the best gamer stories I've ever heard. Secondly, I would wish you the best in hoping you can be able to download the game again for you and your awesome family. No gamer, male or female, deserves worse than before. I also wish you and your family all the blessings from God.
Only way to download it for free is to download an emulator and download the rom and play it on a mobile device I downloaded the game cube version for free and it allows you to play by yourself on the game boy advance version though it's required to have 4 game boy advances or you can't play it
Ugh.. I really wish Nintendo would release a remake of these games, especially Four Swords Anniversary edition, since that is basically locked to old hardware without a re-release. Great video!
It’s great to see Vaati again lmao
One of my favorite Lengend of Zelda games i want a remaster on switch instead of links awaking
Gosh what I wouldn't give for this to be ported to switch. It is the ONLY mainline Zelda that can't be played on current or previous gen hardware.
Hyrule Field’s theme on here sounds just about the same as Ocarina of Time’s version. Also it’s got the same music from A Link To The Past.
this is my favorite zelda game and i play with my friends
I would want to see this remade the same way as links awakening
Same
Nice
As a Kid, that couldn't read or speak English, I got stuck for ever at the Village of the Blue Maiden. Never made it out of there.
Detail walkthrough:
Level 1: whereabouts of the wind
Stage 1: lake hylia
After you wake up from the owl, gather yourself with L or Y button
Always with the sword.
mano top demais 👏👏👏👏👏👏 parabéns
This game would be fun on the Switch tbh
So, Vaati made his appearance in the 4 Swords Adventures a year before the Minish Cap was released.
great game
Feel bad for the kids that didn’t have this major part of my childhood
i think 4 swords is a link to the past with windwaker mixed together with other bosses
This videogame is awesome because there are 6 maidens in colored beautiful dress like Rainbow or Princess from Barbie and the 12 dancing Princess and especially Zelda was so beautiful in this outfit with her braid
We managed to get enough hardware and people for a full crew once. It was a riot 😂
1:43:19 BACK!
1:43:21 GO!
1:43:24 BACK!
Imagine that Alexander Gould and Andrea Bowen voice Link and Zelda in Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures and Minish Cap
I actually didn’t know that you could play it single player! I always thought that you needed four players
Juegazo de juegazo
The village of the blue maiden was way too confusing as a kid man
I present to you the most inaccessible multiplayer mode of a home console game
such a weird zelda game :D
Why does skull woods use the mountain path theme it's unfiting instead they should have used the realm of heavens theme that fits it more also needs wind
wow i never knew Vaati got his name from this game
I think its unloved ( or unknow) zelda game but it s realy good game for me
There appears to be an hdmi multi-viewer device where you could split a tv screen into four sections, Would it be possible to use that device with four gamecube/wii to hdmi converters to display four gamecube/wii screens on a single tv instead of having to use a tv for each screen?
I'm not familiar with such device but I don't see why not. You can essentially hook 4 Wii's on your TV through 4 different HDMI slots using converters also and access them by switching channels. Don't see how that's related to this game though, but might be helpful in competitive speedrunning.
@@longplayarchive couldn’t people use the multi viewer device with four gamecubes, four game boy player attachments, one game boy player disc, four gamecube to hdmi cables and two tv’s (one large one for the gamecubes with game boy players, a smaller one for a ii or fifth gamecube that has the four swords adventures disc?
Instead of having to use five tv’s
God i wish this was brought to switch with multiplayer, I would play the fuck out of it.
That whistle is straight out of Pikmin.
Could you try to find a game from June 18 2003? Thx
Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut, which we have up on the channel. It was released on the 18th in Japan and 19th in USA
YIPPEE 😃
I wish i could play that :(
They could totally remake this with a link between worlds graphics
WHERES THE SWITCH PORT?
Is it possible to play this game without the Gameboy Advance + link cable? I only have a GameCube and this just popped up used locally.
Yep absolutely. This video was recorded without it. The gba screens you see are just a gimmick and dont require the cable
4剣は姫川先生のコミックが好きだな
"Escape to your GameBoy Advance"?? That'd be like if they made an adapter that plugs into your GameBoy/GameBoy Color, but plugged into the Super Nintendo controller port on the cable's other end.
Nintendo needs to port this to the Switch. Square-Enix already did it with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.
its impossible to do it in 6h hahahah you're genious
You gotta pick up the items instead of leaving them behind
I dont know the game add navi sound 3:44:19
This game is way more better than triforce heroes
Can you play this Zelda four swords game as a one player or two or three players?
One is fine
@@longplayarchive okay thanks I'll see soon about collecting this with some GC Wii games we have!
já inscrevi
Super genial lo unico que me aburre es de que no ablas
Wait you can play that with only 1 player?
I thought it needs 4 players
No, the gamecube version can be played with one player, but the handheld version requires 2 or more
The first Zelda Four Swords game on GBA did require 2 or more players, but when it was released as a separate game for download on the DSiWare store, it also had a single player option.
This is the part where Ganon is the true final boss and not vaati that includes a link to the past story sins ganon is the true final boss
This should be ported to switch
Yup That's Toon Link From Legend Of Zelda.♂
lpa Im a Zelda fan
Wait.. this game is single and multi player?
Yes
@@longplayarchive Nice! Gonna check out later
Vaati Kidnap Beautiful Girl Or Vaati Stole the magical Cap On Elzo
This is the wrong aspect ratio.
1:04:36 (1111)
was there a story to this game? never played this one
I don't understand, this game is after minish cap, Vatii is the evil one in this game, why is Ganon in this game, Ocarina of time is right after this game, Ganon doesn't even exist in this time, Ganondorf apear first time in OoT and his transformation on Ganon, is this game after OoT in the timeline??..
The whole Zelda timeline doesn’t seem to make much sense.. I believe AVGN did a comprehensive video of it
Actually this is some time after Majora's Mask in the child timeline. The one that predates the events of Ocarina of Time is Minish Cap and the original Four Swords game on GBA.
@@msw0322So there is two four sword games? In different times each? I didn't know about that.
@@msanchez1680d Yeah, Four Swords made its debut about 20 years ago on the Gameboy Advance as a bonus game to the GBA remake of A Link To the Past. It was a multiplayer only game though. It was rereleased 10 years ago as an Anniversary edition on the 3DS as a free download featuring a single player mode as well as classic maps from the older 2D games.
@@msw0322 wow.. well, now make sense with Ganon in this game, I was confused but now you mention that free download I think I totally miss that one, I don't think I could download that game by now.. thanks for the info.
Kinda looks like pokemon
