Link heads back to Misery Mire to defeat its boss and resuce the maiden in the crystal.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is an isometric action, adventure game. There is no experience as in traditional RPGs. Instead, progression occurs through gaining different gear items and through gaining additional hearts by beating bosses and finding pieces of heart scattered throughout the land.
