Thanks for the review. I finally broke down and got the fire for my kiddo. He was swinging the cat x vanta composite and it took a bit to break in. Sounds like the same situation with the HF. Good stuff.
@@txsportsbites yeah honestly I think there is almost over durability in drop 10. For Lukas’ bats I have started taking them out and hitting off the tee myself (not crazy hard like I’m trying to break them but harder than any youth player is swinging lol) and do a small quarter turn in my hands after each swing. Probably hit idk 200~ balls like that depending on the bat and it should be pretty broken in for them. Thanks for watching!
Really wish more people like yourself would do reviews on the drop 10 space. Too many drop 5 videos out there. Keep up the good work. Your boy swings well.
@@bradenm8485 yeah basically why we even started this haha. We were buying a ton of bats because the drop 10’s and 8’s generally swing nothing like the drop 5’s do and that’s where most of the reviews come from. Thanks he will appreciate that!
@@Shewmakeabsolutely! Keep that bat speed up. Don’t want to be dragging the barrel late behind you or hurting the development of his good swing form. -10 all day
@@1StepTooFar @shewmake is your son pretty large or has a lot of power? Lukas could probably get away with swinging a drop 8 but even then the drop 10 will likely be a lot more forgiving bat speed wise. You need to really be a top tier hitter to handle drop 8 at 9/10 or just very large. Has he seen some pitching velocity with it yet?

@@bradenm8485 ah I keep forgetting to mention that. Lukas generally swings a 29/19

How were the velos compared to the icon?
@@bassballboy similar average, icon maxed at 63 off front toss I believe. This was 61
What do you do with the bats after you make the videos?
@@Shewmake depends. I usually keep them and let teammates try them out if they want to. Or just sell off the ones we won’t use.
I got my son a cat x2 29 drop 8. He starts 10u in the fall. If he struggles with it would you consider trading for a drop 10?

@@PerformanceFactoryBaseball no live pitching yet just tee work and soft toss. He is about 4'10 and 95lbs. He hit in the 400s in 9u.
Perfect. So is my kid. How old is he?
just turned 9!
