Thanks for the review got my son the green meta lasted about 10 games was great while it lasted then went dead they are sending me this as a replacement
Thanks for watching! Yeah the green meta was seemingly a failed experiment for LS with the double wall technology as they pretty quickly ditched it. This new meta prime is definitely hot! But like I mentioned in the video it definitely swings heavier than the old ones
Thanks for all of the great content! This is the best channel I have found for drop 10 reviews which is great because as you have highlighted a drop 5 or drop 8 can have different performance.
No problem we love to do it! We were buying a ton of bats anyways to test out and thought we could help some people out with similar decisions because it just seems like theres very little drop 10 information out there.
Is this just a repaint of the white 24 LTD? From what I understand that bat was just a reissue/paint of the old orange meta (with the linear barrel) as opposed to the double barel of the green meta that no one really liked. If you look at the marketing language on Louisville’s site it’s essentially the same for both bats. Curious your thoughts
no this is a new design. Swings much heavier than the old black/orange/new ltd white meta. We actually didn't swing the white one but I was told it was the same as those. So I can't say for sure but I have been told this is a totally new design. Been a few years since we have touched the orange one but that one seemed to swing very light always. I will say also Louisville Slugger seems to be notorious for copy and pasting descriptions on their site lol. I have seen it for several bats.
@@malcolmrosario469 the icon and this have actually been his top 2 exit velo wise I believe he has hit 64 with both off front toss. But his preference as far as what he would swing in a game is probably x2 comp and the icon as his top 2. Though he does like this meta a good amount and I’m sure he would have no problem gaming it
Glad to finally see this bat in action. I would love it if you would give us a ranking of Lukas top 5 bats!! My son is going to 10u this year and I will be making a purchase soon. He swung the Icon last year and loved it but the X2 looks like it could be the top dog.
@@coreycarlson6238 honestly can’t go wrong with either the icon or the x2. Truth be told all of the top 5 bats are very competitive and can just fit slightly different players. Lukas top 2 Are the icon and the x2 comp. Probably followed by the bonesaber comp, Soldier tank and meta prime. With the hype fire, zen and a couple others slightly behind it. Icon swings a bit heavier but has slightly more pop it feels like but the x2 comp isn’t far behind and is easier to swing
The orange Meta -8 is a better bat into move. It will hit way harder and will feel similar. The -10 Orange Meta will compete in USSSA, but is the lightest to compete. So... In a world of end loads like Icon and Hype, why LS? Live pitching isn't soft toss. That's going to be difficult to recommend.
@@dogsbark5750 yeah basically why I said in the video you should really only consider this if you have a large child with some strength or some legitimate power.
@@PerformanceFactoryBaseball but then they would be more leathal in a 29-8 Orange Meta which are cheap. It seems like they focused on exit velo only. To bad...
