Yeah, I came up poor too. I’m feeling the pinch now too. At least I’m more aware of it than most of the people around me. Been shopping at Salvation Army since HS. Now 57.
Mostly buy my new clothes at Walmart.
Went out fishing on Sunday afternoon for some brims for dinner and lunch on Monday and consulted my “ Freshwater Angler guide to Cleaning and Cooking Fish “ that I bought at Sportmart a number of years ago. Lots of good, delicious recipes for fish dinners in there. Price of everything going up.
Well, I prepared a basic fish boil and had food for Monday.
Now I’m starting to eat fish 2,3,4 times a week. Gonna save more money.
Man, I can tell by them leathery hands you been working outdoors your whole life, and then some.
With your knowledge, I’d probably have to pay $1000 a day to have you guide !
Your show reminds me of Orlando Wilson on TNN. Knowledgeable and helpful. And fun. Did I mention that?
You all have a blessed one. And remember ( the lake you are fishing on) : this is my church.
