Always loved how well the Hulk's strength was adapted to this iconic tv series and this was one of the many prime examples in this rock concert scene, absorbing the electric energy through his body to then shooting it out. This was the perfect way to open up the third season of the Hulk, perfect!!!

I would often wonder if Kiss has seen this. They were the obvious inspiration for the makeup and presentation of this fictitious band.
David is so good at finding multiple and interesting jobs week after week.

Mackenzie Phillips was deep into drug addiction when this was made, which is why she was so painfully thin and easy to pick up.
@Frederick Wells I think she was cast for this around the time she was suspended from her show One Day at a Time. Maybe they were hoping she would get the hint about her destructive lifestyle by playing the character Lisa. Too bad it didn't work out that way for her in real life.
For years I wondered who played the woman in this episode, never realized it was MacKenzie Philips. Couldn't have picked a better one for this role.

As the series went on, Banner seemed to change into the Hulk for much smaller reasons. Started out as life and death, but turned into getting pushed down and getting his hand stepped on.

KISS was immediately the first thing I thought of when I saw this episode. In all fairness, they were one of the biggest Rock bands from around that time, so I'm not surprised that they decided to base the character's theatrics a little around them. There's some hints of Alice Cooper in there also
The rest of the band was also wearing makeup, so yes the producers probably got that idea from the rock band KISS and the electric bolt from AC/DC.

Lou Ferrigno was a huge guy. 6'6" and is actually smaller in the series than when he was competing for Mr. Olympia. Only Arnold was built better. Lou is also legally deaf but still acting as recently, playing himself in King of Queens.
A whole slew of tv shows had KISS inspired music storylines. CHiPs, Love Boat... I'm pretty sure Knight Rider did too. Probably more.
Remember the CHiPs episode with the rock singer "Moloch", played by Don Most from Happy Days? Imagine a co-headlining tour with Lisa Swan and Shock with Moloch opening!.

How the Hulk destroyed that lightning fence or whatever it's called I think was a little too insane for this powered down version of the character. I think David would be terrified to know that the Hulk shot a bolt of electricty from his hand.
When the hulk shoot electricity lighting bolt with hand that's sort of like SHAZAM!!
That’s the point, there were no other versions when this aired, therefore he’s not a “powered down” version. The goal was to take The Incredible Hulk from the comics and make him real. Later versions just attempted to do the same but with more advanced technology.

@@jeremyknight9980 I was assuming you meant live action versions, anything is possible in an animation. Live action is real people and actors, where you have to do a lot more work to create a scene. Cartoons only require a team of animators and some voice actors.

Not only he failed to move them a bit, none felt the strenght of his push, even the girl. at the contrary her hips move while dancing shoved him again on the ground, and someone walking just touching him with the knees, made him collapse once again.
