@@frankcabanski9409 you must be a young person or have no understanding how big the show was. This was the start of the tv/movies industry. This series 40 years later is still massive. Hardly lame.
I used to watch it in back in 2004 (I'm born much later, in 1998), when it was reprised on television at that time in my country (every Friday as well for that matter, or if it was on Saturdays). It was actually my live-action introduction to the Incredible Hulk.
I used to watch this serie when I was just a little kid. I never understod why Dr David Banner wanted to get rid of The Hulk. The Hulk had no evil in him and he only did good for others. Through out 82 episodes we saw him saved numerous people and helped create better situations for so many. We could all need a Hulk in these times.
Look at it from the character's point of view... The hulk is accused of a murder it did not commit but Banner does not know this. Also, Banner blacks out when the hulk emerges. He remembers nothing. He was scared to death that he was going to hurt or kill someone in his hulk form...even accidentally and at least 2 episodes go into that process. He thought the hulk did hurt some people severely. This iteration of Banner is quite the pacifist and very much against violence so he wants the hulk cured for people's safety but also he's faked his death and lost his professional career as a result. I think he'd also like those things back as well...
I loved this as a kid. He was a real hero. Lou Ferrigno played the part really well, as did Bill Bixby. I believe Lou was deaf since birth, and was so when they made this series, but I believe he got his hearing back since he had an operation. He's a real gentleman. It's hard to believe Bill is dead nearly 30 years.
(Hopefully you'll see this comment) but I think I can explain about his hearing: Due to ear infections suffered soon after birth, Ferrigno lost 75 to 80% of his hearing and has been using hearing aids since the age of five.[36] Ferrigno says his hearing loss helped shape his sense of determination in his youth, saying, "I think that if I wasn't hard of hearing I wouldn't be where I am now. Early on, as a youngster it was difficult, but I'm not ashamed to talk about it because many people have misconceptions about hearing loss; like who has hearing loss and what it's like not to hear, so I do talk about it. I think my hearing loss helped create a determination within me to be all that I can be, and gave me a certain strength of character too. Anytime I do a movie or a TV show, I make them aware of my hearing loss at the beginning, and that makes it much easier for all of us to communicate and get the job done." Later in life, he received a cochlear implant which restored much of his hearing. You were close though, I just wanted to give you a little bit more detail on him
Lou ferrigno can hear, he can't hear that good but he can hear, I always like the hulk, David was always getting himself into trouble, even when he tried not to be there he still got himself into trouble no matter what.😂😢
I gotta love how people never figure out the Hulk was David. One minute you see David and the next, the big green guy appears. I guess it like Superman with Clark Kent.
I think most people would assume a lot of different scenarios before they'd assume that the guy they were beating on transformed into a gigantic, enraged green monster

Ironically the very aspect he was trying to get rid of always saved his and others collective buttinskys.
Quite so. David may have been a brilliant scientist, but he had a knack for getting into the weirdest kinds of trouble. Without his alter ego, he would have been gone. In this particular situation probably because of dehydration, locked in that crate, at sea for days...

It’s this Hulk is supposed to exist in the real world. The hulk in the MCU exists in the comic book world. Lou’s Hulk would look out of place in an MCU movie
That’s why I love hulk he saves lives and he will turn green and become the beast if you torture or abuse him or make him mad he’ll turn green and stop you immediately because Bruce banner is the wrong person to mess with!
I love how the Hulk gently caresses her hair at 7:51, wanting to make sure she’s okay. 💚 Despite being a raging green behemoth, he is truly a kind and gentle soul who only protects the good of humankind.
The scene where Lou was ripping out of his shirt sleeve was cropped in later showings of this episode. The uncropped scene shows lou's chin and nose, normal skin color. But a second or so earlier, it focused on Banner's transformation already with the white eyes and green nose. Just a little bit of behind the scenes trivia. The uncropped scene is on dvd and on Amazon Prime.
I Enjoyed this program when I was Growing up probably when I was maybe 10 years old? David Got himself in awwfull cases. A Good scene there. He Did attempt to avoid changing to the "Hulk" by Trying to Reason with the bad individual.
I think the real reason why Everyone on this Hulk show blames David Banner for their wrongdoings or his associates is because the Incredible Hulk likely takes place in a more Greedier World not like Real Life.... But the Theory is that since he deals with more bad people on the show, it could be that David lives in a world full of Good and Evil battling each other everyday. And the Hulk is here to represent the "Consequences." that they face when they go way too far with their sadistic antagonistic plans to cause Harm on those who they don't care for or like.
