The Deacon aka Melvin Williams (RIP) was a major drug trafficker in Baltimore in the 70s and 80s before going to prison in the mid 80s. IIRC, some of the actors on The Wire were arrested by or at least knew Ed Burns, one of the writers and co-creators of The Wire, who was a former Baltimore narcotics and homicide detective. Snoop aka Felicia Pearson is from Baltimore as well and was in the streets before landing acting roles.

He didn’t like the security scoping him like he was a thief, so he took the lollipops just to show the security guard that even if he wanted to steal something ain’t nothing he could do about it. It was a good scene because a real Nicca would rather take from you than to steal from you.
Incorrect. Marlo was in his feelings about getting robbed by Omar and took it out on somebody that wasnt in the game. He was being a bully. He had the security guard killed because he dared to stand up to him. Nothing real about that.
