Understanding the different layers in the programmer is huge. I didn’t even know the fade/delay layers existed for my first year on MA
I‘m already using Fade & Delay but you helped me with the off time. I was like it can’t take 2 cues to only make the lights fade out

Hi Jonas, did you ever get around to fixing the "Set Delay" and the "Pattern" Macros in the single cue magic vid?
I have made a workaround but yours would be a much faster way.

hi Jonas! i very like u r tutorial ! but i don't understand the "Delay" & "Fade" different , how apply to MA2 ? can u explanation or make the video example? thx!
Thanks Jonas! Any chance you saw Christians video on the Coachella programming? Pretty sure his friend used Delay in combination with fade for the song "need you" by Dillon Francis. Couldn't quite replicate that look but now I know, thank you!

Why can’t I put a thru range with using more than one ‘thru’ like u do, to make it go inside of your fixture range. Also when I do 0 thru 1 it does what it had to do, but when I do it the other way around (1 thru 0) it just turns it around

hello , ty for sharing these things . i have got macros and presets but direction's and delays doesn't work all fixtures dim up and dim down at the same time ... do you think why ? the reason it could be 'link active-link feature ' option or somting ? :=(
Hey namik, try just doing it manually - I don’t think the Macros offer that much of a benefit over just doing it by hand anymore :) sry about that!

Hi Jonas, thanks a lot! Good job! I manage to download and instal the macros, but no luck with the fade presets...i import macros from import export setings but there is no preset import...can you help? Thank you!
Hey Valentino! :) Instructions on how to import the Presets are in the Readme file of where you downloaded the Preset from (the Github link in the video description).
The import is done using the command line in MA2, not the import/export window ;)

ok.. i got it...but seems like set delay macro doesn't work for me...i need to input it manualy in the cmd wing bar every time...the pattern is also not working...maybe i am doing something wrong...don't know...i am doing everything just like you in the video...

hi Jonas, i was always amaze that how to tilt a series of beams 1 by 1 , manually it takes hours to sequence , thanks & bow , now i will try yours trick , love you
Hey zahoorjury, thanks for the kind words! Have a look at the Align key - that should make it a lot faster.

You just teach us how to fade in dimmer values by fade time , please also describe how to end/release the Cue dimmer values for Fade out ( i mean fixtures dimmer goes off value 100 to 0 one after another in a selection order ) , waiting for your reply, regards

Hey Murray, what do you mean by fading effects? Sry didn't quite catch what you mean :)
aGuyNamedJonas I’m not sure if it’s a programme error or user but I quite often run a sequence as a song usually with either some sort of pan effect or colouring effects when when I fade the executor off and turn on something else (even when updating an effect) the given effect(s) are then multiplied and produces an unexpected result

Hey Jonas having trouble getting the patterns to work all of the patterns just fade in and out together. i am however on a different firmware, 3.6.1.1. is this a problem?
Hey Patrick, thanks for reaching out! I think the macros have been broken for a while, will double check. But in the mean time it might be easier to actually get used to using fade & delay times directly in the programmer :)

hello, it seems to me an error in the syntax, it is necessary to replace offset =offtime
Hey Vadim :) the offset button is not shown in the video, but what it does is se the delay time not to 0 - delay but to offset - delay. So in theory you could take these macros and have multiple rows of fixtures react with like a few seconds apart - all in one cue. Reason why I didn't include it in the video is because I didn't want to make the video too complex, might do a follow-up video in the future though to cover that :) Thanks for your feedback!

Is there a way to have them fade off in the same order? Rather than fade off as 1 group
I know this is super late, but you would have to create a second follow cue and set the dimmer to 0 with your desired fade and delay settings :)
Is it possible to store more of those delay cues in one sequence? I tried but as soon as I press go for the second it snaps to whatever i programmed, the delay is gone. Great video btw!
Not sure about the Macros I provided - they were rather geared towards programming single-Cue sequences. But in general this trick is applicable to any Cue - so also to multiple subsequent cues in a sequence :)
Remember to fade-out the old values of you want - not just off them. That might be one of the reason it just snaps to the next Cue visually?

hehe :) yeah just wanted to make sure that people know I didn’t come up with this myself, but rather learned this from someone else :) I do respect though when people don’t want me sharing something - I think that’s important!
how to change the speed of the input fade?
Try a rate fader, that should also delay / speed-up the fade-ins I think.

how to do it to make dimmer out fade one by one, not all devices?
The same trick with fade & delay times but for dimmer = 0 on a second cue should do the trick!

i've tryed with Robe Pointe, didn't work. With the sharpys it's ok. But only the fade is working not the directions
