Making layout views from 2D cameras still blows my mind 🤯 I have a few more new videos ready to go before I head out to rehearsals for my next tour on Monday. Thanks for watching!
you all prolly dont care but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
An add-on to the ‘fixture AT fixture” tip: You can do the same thing with executors! So let’s say you have a show file with an intricate look stored for a particular fixture in an executor and you want to load the programmer with only the relevant parameters for that look. Example: FIXTURE 100 AT EXECUTOR 806. The programmer is now loaded and you can make changes to the look then store somewhere else.
To add further, you can also hold the At key down and select what parameters to load. For instance if you only want colour and position, but nothing else.
Every desk can do this? Avo is destination > include > parameters > source Onyx is Load > parameters > destination @ source Eos is destination > parameters > recall from > source Chamsys is shift copy > source > destination Not every show needs an MA
I will definetely be using some of these tips. The one I would probably use the most would be the blind editor. I always forget something (like front light) until people start walking in. So I could use the blind editor to store the front light up into a cue without it *physically* changing on the stage. Really helpful Christian! Thanks man for the tips!
Man, I am not even an LD/Programmer and you are by far one of my favorite RUclipsrs, videos are always so interesting and cover a lot of stuff, I love it! Keep em coming man

@@lasseneumann4567 exactly gma2 on PC is the first "console" I learned. Now I also gotten to work with a real gma2 ultra-light, ETC ION, recently gotten the hang of avolites Pearl and Titan. My current learning project is Hog4. Fun note, almost all of the above-mentioned consoles (not sure about Pearl) also have a PC version even usable to drive full shows
Great tutorials! The golden standard of RUclips education. Is there going to be a follow up on "MA2 Crash Course - Program a Show From Scratch" where you show how to busk a small show with some tips and tricks and potential pitfalls? Good luck on your next tour!
Christian Jackson No rush 😀 A lot of tutorials show "how all the buttons work" but I haven't seen a video that shows how to actually apply that knowledge to run/busk a show. Like: "You know how the console works. Now let's apply that knowledge and demonstrate how to busk a small EDM show with some tips and tricks”
Another powerful add-on knowledge to the Fixture At Fixture trick is that you can follow with the "If" command if you for instance only want to copy a certain presettype or attribute to. So pressing fixture 1 at fixture 2 and then "If" and press the presettype on the screen will give you for instance "Fixture 1 at Fixture 2 If Presettype "COLOR" EndIf" that would copy only the current color value from fixture 2 over to fixture 1, keeping the rest as it was.
Nice little trick I use if I’m doing lots of typing in the command line, enable scroll lock and you’re always ready to start typing. But I use fixture at fixture a lot and it’s super useful.

Hey, so recently I saw someone have an executor dedicated to changing tempo. The cool thing about it was that they also had a double speed and half speed button with it. How did they do that? I was busking with it and found it EXTREMELY helpful for drum builds (which happen a lot). It looked super cool when you timed it right. If you could tell me how to get the BPM executor as a slider and double and half speed buttons that would be amazing, thank you.
You have to change the function of an executor. Simply press "Assign" + the executor and select "Special Master" on the bottom. You will then find the speed masters under "Masters 3". Double and half speed is the default button-assignment for a speed master.
Great content as always. Regarding the fixture at fixture command - is there a way to force it to reference hard values and not presets when doing this? Like if I have fixture 1 and 2 in preset 0.1 and fixture 1 is blue and fixture 2 is orange, can I use this command to make fixture 2 the same color as fixture 1?
Does that appearance-clone-referencing thing also work with labeling? Haven't figured it out without doing LUA yet... Great video Christian, keep up this good work man.
Great video, thanks for sharing! One question: Is it possible to enable BlindEdit for certain Artnet IP adresses. Let's say, I want BlindEdit to be visible to one IP which corresponds to the Computer running Realizzer, but to avoid sending the DMX to the rig? I hope that you understand what I mean
Yes, I understand what you mean. However, that is not really possible in MA2. The closest you could get is having a macro that enables/disables two separate artnet lines in your network protocols menu. Would probably not be worth the effort for an external visualizer. You can use preview, however, and that will only output to MA3D so you can visualize it there without outputting.
Please do a video in which you make a show in dot2 on PC becouse this is the only program that I and many others can use becouse it's free. Also you make very nice videos which help me often and interest me a lot. 👌
About the BlindEdit - while i'm in the blind mode and store data that I've programmed, is it storing only the date from the blind mode or if there is data on the regular programmer it store it too?

I think it's really cool that you can do almost everything in MA !

Thanks for the tips, Christian! :)

It is much easier to use this macro: "appearance /h=30 @". Press this macro, then pool item and it will be orange.

you look crazy familiar, did I meet you in Memphis at the daisy for an event a year or so ago?
yes your icon looks super familiar
Sick vid. Nice haircut too
What is that Color Picker 100? Only got a default one in 3.1.2.5 thats not really usable.
Thank you very useful tricks.
Hi! I have a question about cdj 2000
How can I put the red jog ring on it?
Isn‘t there a third programmer, the PreviewEdit programmer, actually?
Yes there is. Besides the "in the manual" features you can use Ifoutput. In blind edit mode you can't.
How to create colour chese more than 3or 5 colours. Like keyfren in avolight arena console.
weird, even my old GMA1 micro has an 2nd Blind-Programmer. Never knew that feature :-D Thanks! RTFM.... :D

So to turn off blind editor I just press it again right?
How do you make that colour view in the layout view at 8:12???
still got your DJ gear??? you should drop a mix

Only in BlindEdit
What’s The Mod row in your colour picker?
Just another selectable preset I can throw in sequences for busking that aren’t necessarily effects based.
Why is it not working? : Apparence sequence 32 thru 42 AT sequence 16 thru 26? WE can't recurse this?
Could you maybe do more show gig vlogs? That would be amazing!
yes
我应该是这里面唯一的一个中国人,以前从没注意过这个Blind键,按下之后会输出到MA3D,但不会输出到Wysiwyg(是这个意思吗?)
