    My sister and I always credit our skeptical Naval pilot father and stay at home mother, for our questioning everything. They trusted Christ in their 30’s and sent us to Christian schools our whole life. We both now homeschool our children, 12 in all. My father similarly remembers praying in school in the 50’s in the South. The Gospel and Rush Limbaugh were always present in our home.😂 The Gospel obviously being predominant. I do believe that an understanding of liberty, will only help propel you to celebrate and hunger for the Gospel. Look forward to listening to the interview in its entirety.

      @@chrisdemichiei1746 Then I wonder how humanity survived for countless generations before the Industrial revolution WITHOUT SCHOOLS. The trouble with people that think like you is that you compare a useless, out of date, irrelevant system of cowardice, passivity and non productive, loudmouth textbook regurgitating with practical institutions like police, representative government and postal services. The last three things are actually necessary; real education happens in real life, and public schools are disconnected from reality. If I was to compare the school system to an individual, I would say it is psychotic, schizofrenic, delusional and narcissistic: it steals money from tax payers that can be redirected to more important tasks like infrastructure, family health services, as well as crafting, art, music, trade apprenticeship and STEM programs that actually prepare your kid for reality. Don't ever compare a failing school system that cares more about test scores and "homework" to useful institutions that actually get sh*t done. You insult public infrastructure, social security and police departments by comparing a massive "educational" parasite that pumps out Godless, self hating, castrated commies who want to "deconstruct" everything. Look up Prussian schooling, and you'll see your precious little pet school system you love so much actually started in northern Germany, which is the system that trained Nazis. Let that sink in deep. Real Education happens in the family and the working class community, not in a desk cell where pencil pushing wind bags repeat low level standards all day instead of actually work honestly for a living. Not good examples for our kids.

I read a passage from the Bible over the P.A. system each morning and opened our pep rallies in prayer ... in Jesus' name, no less. When I began teaching in a public school, my philosophy was that more Christians needed to join this field. I dedicated myself to changing government schools by working inside. Over the years, I have seen those opposed to Christianity take the reins by inserting themselves into the bureaucracy, dictating the direction of government schools and gaining control over what frontline teachers can say and do. I have also seen that Christians and even non-Christian conservative workers have either failed to join this fight or have been weeded out. Far-Left, Marxist, and perverse minds now dominate the government education system. I predict (not prophesy) that government schools will begin administering hormone blockers to young people without consent or knowledge of their parents. Although I believe I have been a good influence on many students, I now survey the future of government schools with grim foreboding.

    As a conservative/nationalist public school history teacher I agree and disagree. There are major issues with public schools but there is also issues with home schooling. The students will suffer socially, like it or not, it's the reality. My friends who home school get 10% of the social interaction my students get. They are around hundreds of students a day and my home school friend's kids see a handful of other kids a day. More importantly, I fancy myself as a intelligent individual, but there is no way I am academically ready to teach secondary algebra or English language arts. I just couldn't do it even if I prepped for a while. My only option would be some virtual program, and in all reality it isn't the same as having a qualified mathematics teacher in a classroom. It just isn't. People should do what they want but to deny or overlook the positives of a regular school life is stupid.

    • @stephenwilkins6085

      Social interaction is precisely why parents should pull their children out of public schools and most private schools for that matter. You’re probably right, more interaction at schools, but it is very bad interaction. School is nothing like the real world, the behavior is terrible, the social dynamics are closer to be in a prison.

    • @juliequates9529
      @juliequates9529 Год назад +1

      I know my kids would get more time to "socialize" in public school but is that a positive? Not in my eyes at this time. I'd rather use that time for other things that will benefit them. Like teaching them the Gospel and logic and how to interact with the world around them. That can happen without hours in a school setting. I also think you're not giving yourself enough credit about not being equipped to teach at that level. Woke college kids literally walk into a school and teach these things.

      The minimal socialization children receive at school is a poor argument.
      Homeschool children can socialize with a wide range of people in age, size, color and culture. Meanwhile, children at school socialize with their peers only.
      So we create apps to help these "socialized" constructs help make conversation?

    • @IronCavalier

      When your peers are drugged to keep their socialization controlled, homeschooling is a better choice. This stupid argument needs to glue out to rest as it has gone one way too long. “I fancy myself as an intelligent individual,” fantasy. Homeschooling does have it’s negatives one of which could be are they really getting schooled. But, seeing how stupid and unintelligent the public sector is coming out and no where near their grade levels in any subject, who cares?
