This is a semi-playable Sephiroth Mod that will replace Cloud Strife; made by Crandif. Just testing the mods in this game. Aerith Dress and Masamune mod from AdventurerAdolChristin and School Girl colors from Mathew698.
Aerith wields staves in battle, and is in the back row by default, as she primarily uses magic from equipped Materia in battle. Her Limit abilities are entirely defensive, either providing restorative abilities, healing other party members, or granting them positive status enhancements.

It's because in another reality, Cloud actually managed to fend off his sword, sending it back to him LOL. That's why Aerith has the same particle effects as the ending of Rebirth.
I can see them co-existing. Heck I'm not surprised if they had a conversation once they were in the after life, making peace with each other
