Tiny tip as a fellow Aeropress user (great vid by the way), but when you store your press, make sure to push the punger all the way through so it "Pops" out the other end. If the edges of the rubber are trapped inside the main chamber they will lose the ability to keep it super airtight over time. Little tip I implement into my set-up even tho then the plastic filter gasket doesn't screw on, but it will all still fit.
Hello Mat, thank you for this review. I have officially requested this item for Christmas. I have a different AeroPress in the house but had no idea they have this Go version.
@matryderreviews Your assumption is absolutely correct, I'm amazed myself that I haven't got one. I always thought that they were a bit of a faff and your video is the first time I've seen one fully demonstrated, so now I know that they're easy to use! Cheers 👍 Edit; now ordered.
I bought an aeropress and a reusable stainless steel filter as a gift for my wife. Trouble is, the water leaks through the filter when preparing coffee the standard way. So, to counter the leakage, the press is turned upsidedown, the plunger inserted just enough to create a cup, coffee grounds and boiling water added and, finally, the filter and cap screwed on top. Wait for it to brew, then flip it over to press the coffee though. Seems to work well, but it doesn't filter as finely as a paper filter. Might actually make better tasting coffee.
@@matryderreviews Thanks. I've used a French press before. Coffee tastes great but despite the coarseness of the grind, I usually end up with some grounds in the bottom of the cup. I may try an Aeropress.
@@mediumrick7667 IMO Aeropress is superior in every way to Frenchpress. There is no sediment if you use the paper filter, the coffee is clean and also the paper traps the oils that can cause heartburn. It's a genius little gadget"
@@matryderreviews Using a handgrinder and grinding fresh beans is basically the equivalent of drinking tonic water with diesel, and tonic water with a very expensive gin. Night and Day. Well worth it
Came here from the 2yr video, in which you declare cowboy coffee to be the best coffee. Interesting juxtaposition. [Edit: later in this video, you re-state your opinion that cowboy coffee is the best, but helpfully go on to explain briefly why you don't always just do that.]
I don't like plastic and I don't drink coffee, but I love watching your videos :)
Now that's a supportive subscriber!!

Looks good to me, I’ll treat myself and see how it goes!
Agreed. These are great bits of kit. We got one for long car journeys and now save a fortune on average coffee from the services.
Hi Mat 🖖
You've convinced me, I'm going to have to buy one now.
Cheers ☕
I'm amazed you don't already have one if I'm honest. It's a great littel device.

Very interesting. I'll give this a try. Thanks.
Handy little number. Remember to pack your cream, brown sugar, and After Eight mints. Cheers☕️
Mat, just wondering if Ross is tough enough to drink coffee this wild or does he need to pamper it with some clotted cream? Cheers.
Ross smashed this coffee Steve😂
Do you typically have and grounds at the bottom of the cup when finished?
Never. I use the paper filters and haven't seen any.

Taff, encourage you to checkout James Hoffmans' aeropress recipe. Grab yourself a cheap handgrinder and scales. It'll change your life.
I'll have a look right now. I bought a handgrinder but never used it. It might be time to get it out of the box.

I was accidentally helpful. That's good. Cheers.
