This is a wonderful series. I would like to address others like me that are health compromised. Don't feel like we have to keep up with others schedules. We tend to put alot of pressure on ourselves. We can get alot done during the day by working 20 minutes then I meditate 10 minutes. This really keeps me going all day. At least this schedule works for me. I also take a two hour lunch and rest with more meditation. Hope this helps someone.

That's a very good point...Take care of yourself first or you won't be able to take care of anything!

Such an important part of sorting your productivity out, having an actual look at what you get done in a day, and how long things actually take. I did this for weeks at the beginning of the year, wrote down everything I got done each day, not the things I wanted to get done but the tasks each day that I was starting and finishing. It really showed me how I was spending my time and what I could change to be more efficient.

It's hard to do but if you do it accurately it will show you so much about the things you're really spending your time on!

4:18 "My planner is my boss." Wise words. I need to commit to this philosophy. Great video, Kara!

I really want to do Etsy full time but I need a few more consistent sales. I don’t need to make a ton of $ to do it because I only work part time but right now because of medical issues being able to control when and how much I work would be awesome. A schedule would help me a lot, this gives me a great idea to make a regular schedule but then schedule extra time to make up for times when I’m not feeling as great so I’m still able to do the amount of work I need to do. Thank you!

Great suggestion, Kai. I too deal with medical symptoms that can interfere with a regular schedule. But I'm at home, and retired, so I have the flexibility to put in extra time in my schedule to allow for those "not feeling so great" breaks in my regular schedule. Good luck with your medical issues, and your part-time business!

There are great time tracking apps for your computer or phone that calculates exactly what you are doing. In most phones they have apps like this as standard. You can set times allowed on different apps and alerts you when you pass the set time.

No matter what my plan is, I always get sidetracked. I think I have ADD that has never been diagnosed. I will start one thing and 5 minutes later find myself doing something else that wasn't part of the plan at all. I know some of it is self-discipline.

I'm like you! My favorite place to be is working & taking care of a zillion kids! I go into like a Depression & my life sucks if I'm not! I live off Challenges! HA!
I'm TERRIBLE with scheduling my time! I LOVE the idea of writing down every single thing I do! I have a feeling it would look like a pinball game machine! I'm here, Im there, now up there! lol

The inconsistency is unsettling. One week I'll get one sale, the next week I get 20, the next week 1 sale again, etc
