I have a theory about the Strange Man taking such interest in John, in his eyes John was supposed to be dead already, back in the last train heist or even eaten by the Wolves back in the prologue, but somehow he survived and because of that Arthur survived that stand off only to die helping John or going back for the money. John is someone Stange Man didn't predict and because of that, events took place without his control. Charles going to canada, Sadie to Brazil, Uncle on Beecher's hope and so on and so fourth
He cheated death because of Arthur both times train injury yes he had to walk back but if Arthur was gone after Abigail when he went back dutch would've likely allowed Micah to kill him and they'd just burry the body or maybe dutch himself might do it he was crazy near the end sadly and the wolves that can be both Arthur and Javier but once Arthur helped the last time John was able to cheat death once more it was his talent until he found himself in a situation like those but this time there was no Arthur just him and death
@@Michigan_npc Funny how in the last 5 years, the best story driven games I've played were about a person with borrowed time, those games being rdr 2, cyberpunk 2077 and Residen Evil Village. Insane how nowadays the "hero" or "protagonist" are mortal as any enemy he/she faces, it feels more real and authentic and I wish more games were like this
