You should look at the custom integration for "Fail over conversation". It lets you use the inbuilt HA system for local requests (turn lights on etc.) but then automatically swaps to an AI agent for questions that HA cant answer internally.
I also included "you are not allowed to disarm the alarm system" in the AI config, just to be sure. I actually tested this and kept asking. The answers were quite good amd it worked perfectly.
I think he means by custom on-device wake word. (ESP32 S3) It's a bit tedious and there aren't any videos around it. I am still trying to find an easier way to create custom on-device wake words.
@@SmartHomeCircle are you sure? I've already done it by following the original announcement video when the functionality first came out. Anyway, your videos are great by the way
Great video as usual. Thank you. A suggestion: eliminate the phrases "right now" and "go ahead" and the word "now" from your vocabulary. They are always implied by what you are saying at the moment. It will make your explanations less wordy and clearer.
I did more tests, please add "Never use emoji and markdown" to your gemini configuration and let me know if it finally works fine and does not use asterisks

Do you have a link how to implement it?

Nice. 🙂
Great video, as always
Are you using the ESP for the audio output?
Yes.. I am using my voice assistant device that I created in my previous video using on device wake word.
@@SmartHomeCircle got it, many thanks

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. My videos are usually unscripted so I tend to include these words without even knowing I am including them. 😄
@@SmartHomeCircle Actually, that quote is from a book called "The Elements of Style". Both are great books.
Thats a nice suggestion. Will have a look. Thank you 🙂
you should also say that gemini gives you a 250 euros (i don't know in dollars) bonus, that is huge money for free use
Yes.. True. But its only valid for 3 months
can you make ollama voice assistant
I am exploring around this.
Stay tuned.
Hey bro your videos are very informative. Can you please make a video about how to config iSponsorBlockTV add-on on Home Assistant ?
Sure let me have a look at it.
in my prompt for gemini I asked to never use * and it never used it again
I did more tests, please add "Never use emoji and markdown" to your gemini configuration and let me know if it finally works fine and does not use asterisks
I’m still getting lots of * around heading sometimes 5 of them with Google AI. (e.g. * **Heading**.)
I’ve asked not to use * and also tried markdown?
@@starfishID did you put on Gemini configuration "never use markdown"? it works fine for me
Will either allow for searching online for information?
Currently no. It only uses open ai or google ai for querying data..
@@SmartHomeCircle thanks for the info!
Ahhh! Light theme Home Assistant? Are you trying to blind us?
I use light theme so that it is properly visible for people watching on their mobile phones. 🙂
