❓8:49 Is it somehow possible to change how the groupe-volume influences the individual volumes? Example: How it behaves right now. Group = vol.60 -> vol.30 (60-30) Player1 = vol.80 -> vol.50 (80-30) Player2 = vol.40 -> vol.10 (40-30) (So it's by addition/subtraction of the volume.) ❗Example: How I want it to behave: Group = vol.60 -> vol.30 (60/2) Player1 = vol.80 -> vol.40 (80/2) Player2 = vol.40 -> vol.20 (40/2) (So it's by multiplication/division of the volume.) BECAUSE than the relative volume relative to eachother is kept equal! So if I have 2 speakers in opposite corners, I sit closer to Player2 and I have adjusted their volume so they sound for this position equally loud they still sound equally loud with multiplication/division but NOT with addition/subtraction. I hope it's understandable what I mean. Can someone give me some ideas or help how to achieve this? Thank you all very much!
I understand this requirement, but it does not work that way. I also wanted it to work this way.. But does not. If anyone else has found how to do that, please comment below.
I really like the esp32 voice assistant you built! It is possible to stream music (for example from Spotify) directly from the voice assistant? Would be a perfect replacement for Amazon Echo. 😁
Thank you for the nice guides. I'm almost there but I have some settings wrong....but which? I have Nabu Casa set up with my Google Home and also openwakeword. Both of them work..kind of. If I say the openwakeword my Google Home Mini responds. Only, it always launches the Spotify app on Google Home. If I use text to speech using your suggested automation works and Music Assistant launches. Can you think of a setting that I have done wrong? ??? If I use the HA voice assist on my phone it works? Must I disconnect the Spotify service from my Google Home or something?
@@louisviciedo you can integrate it via Home Assistant. Just as how I included my google home mini through Home Assistant, the same way for alexa should work.
I have a quick question, since the google home mini speaker is connected to home assistant, can I give commands to google assistant to play music in music assistant ? Thanks
@@TheRedmarlboroman No.. that would not be possible. The Google home mini is just added as a speaker. Home Assistant is aware about the speaker. But the google mini is not aware about Home Assistant
Why did you have to use the add on for music and the HACS for announcements? I wasn’t aware it was an add on, i still have the beta version from HACS because ive been testing this for a while?
The addon is just running music assistant server. But for home Assistant to communicate with Music assistant, it needs the integration from hacs. You can always run Music assistant without integrating it with Home Assistant, but you will not get to do the automations as I showed in the video.
This is a great addition to the voice assistant you've built...keep up your great work with this...
Thank you 🙂
Really cool and easy to follow. Thanks!
Great tutorial. Very clear to understand and easy to follow. Thank you
Glad I could help 🙂
Outstanding video! Thank you
Glad you liked it 😄
Thanks
Thanks a lot for appreciating my work 😃

I am not sure how you are able to say the openwakeword and make google home mini to launch Spotify.
What wake word are you using?
Great video. No Alexa media player option?

How do you tell it to play a particular artist, track or album??? Just "play music" is too generic
Sadly its not possible yet to play a specific track.
With playlist and shuffle is just a step closer.

@@SmartHomeCircle thanks for your prompt reply
how did you connect your google speaker to HA ?
With google cast integration.
Any way to make it shuffle by default? Or at all lol
I thought the button before the "Prev song" button was the shuffle. apparently its not. :D
Pause/resume works, if both your satellite and media player are in the same area.
I tried it, it still dint work for me.
May be I am missing something.
If we disconnect voice assistant with home assistant and connect to our local internet than voice assistant is still working and play music?
The voice assistant device needs Home Assistant to operate.
Why did you have to use the add on for music and the HACS for announcements? I wasn’t aware it was an add on, i still have the beta version from HACS because ive been testing this for a while?

@@SmartHomeCircle so the addon is just running it without HA? Not sure I see the point in it 🤔
@@michaelthompson657 the addon is run by HA. But they may not always be connected to HA. This is the case for most of the third party addons.
@@SmartHomeCircle I’m afraid I don’t understand 🤔
Music in background, thumbs down
