Chris when you’re restacking the burn pile with the excavator does the hydraulic hoses ever get too hot from the fire? Iv never seen you damage one yet but why do they not burn through more often?
I know it happened once, over a holiday weekend. He was redoing the pond dam on a job, I think 2 years ago now. Just checked the playlist, it was the 10 acre pond project.
@@dennismalcolm6620- if you have watched for a long time he has explained why. He doesn’t leave them near the fir long enough to get damaged. Like when you move your finger through a candle flame quickly. They tolerate a lot of heat.
It takes prolonged exposure to 500+ F to get rubber to start to melt and catch fire. While those fires can achieve 800+ down in the middle of the pile, up where he is working with the gasses are still burning off the temperature is much lower. It would probably still be enough heat if he set the stick in there and left it for a few minutes but He moves quick and all the motion up in the air is cooling them off

I enjoy your videos so very much. I am really looking forward to watching you use a larger machine. you make it look so easy, while you operate your equipment.
They want $169,900 for the Hyundai. Not bad for a 1600hr machine. The Kobelco isn't listed on their site any longer, so I suspect we can guess which machine Chris bought... With 3 excavators and all the other equipment, Chris needs some reliable fulltime help. Just doing routine maintenance is becoming a chore and it's not sustainable as a one-man show.
Chris guins , the king of dirt in north Carolina, freaking king of dirt on RUclips that's for damn sure, freaking awesome Chris, gonna be sweet to see a new to you excavator in the fleet, thanks for sharing an I look forward to seeing the next video 💪🇺🇲✊🤙👌 my opinion,my opinion only, as much advertising that you have done for volvo over the years, they should give you a dang 350, but opinions very,
Of these two machines the Kobelco makes the most sense for the work that Chris intends to do with it. It is larger, has more lift capacity, handles the 60" bucket better (could even have a larger one if needed), and from the outside view in this video, is more responsive, faster acting, and operates smoother. The other considerations is parts/dealer availability and location for when repairs are needed. I would imagine that a grapple will be added to fully accessorize the machine. The weight difference between these two is probably not that big of a limiter since both are in the "oversized load" category and will require pretty much the same transport requirements. The Kobelco will move more dirt and clear more land faster; especially with an experienced operator like Chris. On thing I've learned over the years is that the bu++ hurt of buying a tool fades quickly if that tool performs the job admirably and above my expectations. But the buyer's remorse stays with me for as long as I own the tool if it fails to work as needed. And budget is always the killer of good ideas. And to Chris, congratulations on all of your success. It has been fun to watch you grow your business over the years. You work hard and deserve all of your success. Looking forward to seeing your continued growth. Nice job!
You seemed to like the increased speed of the Kobelco. Guessing that's hard to ignore. And that it could handle a full big bucket fully extended without being on one track.
I dunno, that sweep of the mound to form a cone shape went smoother with the Hyundai with either bucket, the other machine gave a notchy result. Not a huge thing, but it suggests something did not sit quite right for you with the 350. The interior shot of the 350 with the doohickey sticking up and flapping about suggests that machine might be harder to add adaptations to it, and I know you are a fan of just the right stuff on your machines, the lower price leaves on the 330 a little budget headroom for that sort of thing I have to guess. Lastly, your mech has the right software stuff for the 330, that's probably a good thing because he's likely got experience using that software. I have no idea where you'll go with your choice but that is what struck me about the propositions on offer. I know which I might go for, but you will have to wait until the next video for me to say, or maybe the video after that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Seemed odd to see you and no thumb. Be well.😉
I guess the 550 will have to wait on 2M subscribers. I'm guessing the KOBELCO is your choice but either should be a good addition to your equipment collection.
If the Hyundai was a 350 I don't think there would be any hesitation towards it, but I felt the Kobelco handled the bigger bucket a bit better than the Hyundai and Chris really wants the bigger bucket, so we will have to wait and see if the budget stretches to the bigger machine..🤔🤔🤔
I thought the Bucyrus Erie demonstrator he's been testing out on the farm was going to be the next upgrade for the fleet. It has plenty of stick and a quick decoupler for all your attachment needs too.😂
Nice picture of a b&e large,,wi driver side operator on the curb side. This was still pict, spreadvopen looks as fill the bill.Old sizing numbers were like 466 ,triple6, 866 and the 1o66..
Looking like the Kobelco is the better choice for you. It handled WAY smoother and more graceful for you. Your sideswipe grading was significantly smoother and quicker. And your draw grading also looked quick, smooth and natural. Even given the more money, I think with the ease of use, you'll finish jobs sooner and end up paying for itself sooner. It's just the best fit of the 2!
To keep up with Mr Simons I have a feeling you will go that way bro and as you said it is easier to move about and your mechanic has all the info on it. Then again I could be way out, still it made for great viewing anyway guys. Safe travels. Ken

I enjoy your videos so very much. I am really looking forward to watching you use a larger machine. you make it look so easy, while you operate your equipment.
Nice DP going to have fun with you on this buy cause you know how he is Chris hope you get the 60 inch bucket too 👍😎🇺🇸NY
Shit man, would be worth going down and helping just for the experience itself from a guy like him.
They wanted $210,000 for the Kobelco and "someone" bought it.
I see both on their website listed for sale? @@armyranger9346
It's still on the site for sale this morning. Both of them are.
@@donnyhudgins1917 It is and it no longer has the 60" bucket.
Is there any way to increase the counterweight on these machines to compensate of a larger than standard bucket?
That cliffhanger is for Volvo... then us lol. Be ready for something shiny to pull up Chris. Fingers crossed lol
Congratulations on new machine, cheers to growth and next bigger projects
Did you talk with DP about his machine and his thoughts? Where in PA is this place.
Chris guins , the king of dirt in north Carolina, freaking king of dirt on RUclips that's for damn sure, freaking awesome Chris, gonna be sweet to see a new to you excavator in the fleet, thanks for sharing an I look forward to seeing the next video 💪🇺🇲✊🤙👌 my opinion,my opinion only, as much advertising that you have done for volvo over the years, they should give you a dang 350, but opinions very,
Enjoyed watching the video Chris 😊
Congrats Chris, I'm excited for you!
A cliffhanger! Can't wait for the next video installment. My instincts say you're leaning towards the Hyundai. Can't go wrong with either one.
Chris Heavy D Sparks loves his Kabelco 350, and it is a beast, as he said, he has used it in many recoveries of equipment
Nice job!
as much as you love the 2 220's, but you need a bigger one on some of these larger pond or lake jobs! good luck!
You seemed to like the increased speed of the Kobelco. Guessing that's hard to ignore. And that it could handle a full big bucket fully extended without being on one track.
I have driven both , but as a owner it would be the Kobelco hands down for dig out and trade in price
Very tide two machines there hope you get a great one in your choice and it give you good working time .
The empire continues to grow. Good stuff bucko!
Man that 350 linkbelt looks nice 😍
And a Sunday afternoon cliff hanger! Hyundai is my guess. Are you going to put your thumb on the new machine?
The ye old cliffhanger. The Kobelco moved so much smoother. I could foresee buyer's remorse with the Hyundai.
Chris if you bought one over here in NE Oklahoma, I'd let you try it out at my pond. Lol. And years ago I hauled counter weights for Caterpillar. 😊😊
Be well.😉
Man kobelco makes a great machine. Ran a 350 for 6 months pulling 20ft trench boxes out of concrete like they were nothing.
kobelco is junk.
That Link Belt is very nice! I do like the colors of it! To bad that Volvo 550 wasn’t available.
I guess the 550 will have to wait on 2M subscribers. I'm guessing the KOBELCO is your choice but either should be a good addition to your equipment collection.
He can hop in any machine and make it look like he’s been operating it for years he’s a gun that’s why we like watching his channel
That linkbelt looked super clean
Question: regardless of specs and performance, which one is more comfortable? I'm old enough to spring some cash for comfort.
Bigger excavator means bigger truck and dozer! Love watching you grow!!
2nd haul truck n some operators
I see the bigger Komatsu dozer sitting over there in the line up.
@@RKHarm24 I had the same thought!
@@jamescheever7982 Chris can drive two trucks 🤔😝
Very informative videos👏👏
Another new toy for his growing fleet. Good job Chris
The big question is how easy to do daily maintenance?
Are the Zert fittings in all the correct locations and didn’t see a thumb on either bucket.
Zerk
I thought the Bucyrus Erie demonstrator he's been testing out on the farm was going to be the next upgrade for the fleet. It has plenty of stick and a quick decoupler for all your attachment needs too.😂
Nice picture of a b&e large,,wi driver side operator on the curb side. This was still pict, spreadvopen looks as fill the bill.Old sizing numbers were like 466 ,triple6, 866 and the 1o66..
Good for you Chris! 👍👍
Rudd equipment has a Volvo 380 with 2k hours for $155,000. Surprised you didn’t look at it! Congrats on the business growing, you deserve it!
Hmm.. What type of 2k were those hours?
Looking like the Kobelco is the better choice for you. It handled WAY smoother and more graceful for you. Your sideswipe grading was significantly smoother and quicker. And your draw grading also looked quick, smooth and natural. Even given the more money, I think with the ease of use, you'll finish jobs sooner and end up paying for itself sooner. It's just the best fit of the 2!
Mike really likes his Hyundai . Hopefully the 330 is as good as the 210 . Good luck with whichever you choose .
To keep up with Mr Simons I have a feeling you will go that way bro and as you said it is easier to move about and your mechanic has all the info on it. Then again I could be way out, still it made for great viewing anyway guys. Safe travels. Ken
The 2 yellow excavators are still listed and the grey one is not. I wonder if there is a weasel in the hen house.
I think that the 350 would be better for you Chris it looks nicer then the other one. But it's your choice
Wondering if you gonna get a new Ami letsdig18 bucket? Congratulations 🎉
