I have done many portrait shoots with the a6000 and the Zeiss 24mm lens. I have had a good time with it for 6 years + and that lens especially set it off into a lovely, colourful place. Hey, my friend. Thanks for the video. I would like to ask you to help me out! I'm a beginner, and I've always dreamed of having a camera since my childhood. Now I decided to buy one. I stuck between A6000 and A6400 (both used). With my budget right now, I can afford an A6000 + Sigma 30mm 1.4 (maybe if I am lucky, a kit lens) or an A6400 + kit lens (both are used). I searched the whole of RUclips, and I know how fantastic and necessary it is to have a prime lens like what I mentioned. As the prime lens I mentioned is so expensive in my country, I decided to buy the first setup, but I noticed the colors and low-light performance of the A6400 are much better, and I am worried that I will regret buying the A6000. Sometimes I think I'm a beginner, and the A6000 is enough for me. Can you help me? I usually to take pictures in the nature or streets or parks. I was looking for a small and light weight camera for that and I think both are ok in these aspects. I do not know when I can buy a prime lens or even if I will like this area or not! Sometimes I get good photos with my phone. Thank you.
I would go with the a6400 as you should go with the better camera and upgrade your lens later on but the better image quality and specs will be better in the long run

A really weird technique that nobody used to mention is tilt the screen 90 degree and then put the camera upside down. That way you can shoot facing down the screen 😅

Oh man, I used to trust what you said in your reviews....... until you recommended the 55-210. That lens absolutely sucks. The 18-135 is amazing with the a6000 (or any apsc e mount lens for that matter). That's the one you should have recommended.
Hey sorry to hear you feel that way. These are just the lenses I personally have. And Why do you not like the lens? Again i am aiming this video at ultra casuals
@TechThroughTheLens I don't like the lens because it is terribly soft. Maybe a more skilled photographer can get decent photos out of it, with the help of post processing, but when I was just learning photography, I had that lens and I thought I was the problem. Then I got the 18-135 and it was so much better. So I would say the exact opposite for that lens. It is a detriment to an ultra casual photographer, as they could get frustrated with their results and maybe think that photography isn't their thing. And I am not alone in my opinion of that lens. Many reviews point out it's shortcomings. And it is dirt cheap because no one wants it. But sadly, uninformed newbies like I was see a big, shiny lens at a good price and buy it, thinking since it is a native Sony lens, it should be good. Far from it.

Sigma 18-50mm f.2.8
Very good Lens, should be a solid start. 👍
Should I go for sony a6100, sony a6400, Sony a600 or canon R50/ m50 mark ii for photography and videography both?
Kindly suggest me which should I buy!
Great video I was going to sell mine, but I decided to keep it
Good choice!
Does this camera support the RAW format or just JPEG?
most sony cameras has raw after nex 5 including a6000
What you think about the ACii for photography portraits and modeling
Can you please make a video about the sony nex 6?
For shooting a video like yours (basically, talking in front of the camera), what lenses do you recommend for the Sony a6000? Possibly extra low budget 😅 thank you!
i typical use a 28mm or a 35mm. Either of those would work
@@TechThroughTheLens thank you!
I wanted to buy my first camera, is this version ok for beginner? Or should i buy the 6400 version straight away
If you can afford a good lens along with the a6400, go for that instead. If not, rather invest in good glass and get the a6000.
@@fyrlefanz thank you for this
@@rismawanYT No problem. Just remember, a good lens will probably outlast your body, especially your first one. Unless you switch to full frame, but that's a whole different league price-wise.
Which is best Sony A6000 or Canon R100 for beginners
Had an A55 and the shutter finally died. Just picked up a used A6000. Has anyone used the A mount to E mount lens adapter on the A6000? Hoping to salvage the old lenses!
@TechThroughTheLens Thanks for the recommendation. I just bought the camera with 16-50 PZ kit lens. What can I sub the 55-200mm with E 18-200 mm F3.5-6.3 OSS APS-C Telephoto Zoom Lens with Optical SteadyShot is see them online for $350?
Can you add luts to it n what setting
Can you recommend a camera in the same price range that does ,,clean and polished’’ photos…I wanted to get the 6000 but I don’t really like the vintage look
Canon eos 80d used maybe?
What should i buy? Sony a6000 or fujifilm xt100
Fujifilm honestly if you’re willing to pay a little more. But you’ll still be good to go if you decide to get the Sony instead. Depending on what you’re using it for.
Should i buy a6000 with 16 50 lens having shutter count 15000 at $350
Decent deal do it
whith camera u use on this video?
The photos are soft because of the lenses you're using
Hey, my friend.
@@TechThroughTheLens Thank you. Do you know how many shots is OK for a second-hand camera?
Should I buy this one?
broo you sounds like linus tech tips
Will be picking this camera up for 400 euros with 3 spare batteries, 55-200mm, 18-55mm and camera bag.
great deal!
i found the exact same bundle except for 450 usd
From where are buying this ?
Nice. The a6000 can be had for 250 to 300. A6500 is 400 to 500 used. The a6400 iv seen for around same price. And a new a6600 cost now around 1200 usd. Im waiting for the a6600 used around 600 700 usee to replace one of my a6300.
Does a6000 have a color filter?
Can the screen face down? Like for easier shoot when the camera's raised?
No
It doesn’t but can tilt down a little
I does tilt down so you can raise it above your head. you simple pull the screen out and tilt down. hope this helped
@@TechThroughTheLens thank you!
A really weird technique that nobody used to mention is tilt the screen 90 degree and then put the camera upside down. That way you can shoot facing down the screen 😅
Wait why did yours say 6400 not 6000 like mine!?
Compared to G7 Lumix, which is better? For cinematic videos and sometimes photography
the g7 is totally outdated
@@TechThroughTheLens isn't a6000 outdated too? g7 could shoot 4k
My cousin is looking for someone who will teach her how to use the camera for taking macro photos (for small objects). She needs to do settings. She will pay for the lessons.
Am available
Need some advice camera people found a deal my buddy has he’s upgrading is a Sony a6000 with a 16-50mm lens and shutter count of 5700 good for $380? Comes with batter strap charger. Trying to get into this and don’t know if it’s a good price or not or if shutter count is high
That’s a great price
1:26 "... just because it's a cheap camera ..." at ~ $900 that certainly is not cheap, probably in comparison to Leicas, yeah it's cheap
Is it worth getting one that has 30.000 clicks? I'm new to this.. 😅
This or canon m6 mk1?
What about this camera for filmmaking?
not the best. I am youtuber and make videos. new phones are shooting better videos. Pics are great tho
Great video! Like your content. I m looking to buy a cheep body and I’m having a dilemma: Olympus om d e m5 ii, pro body, ibis, touchscreen, fully articulated screen, cheeper lenses but smaller sensor, or alpha 6000 with larger sensor, but lacking in everything else? Can you help me with this dilemma? 😅
Found one for 230$, should i get it?
that i a steal! buy it!
Please guide me. Within two days i am gonna buy a new camera. Should i go for this sony a6000 or Canon r50 ?
My preference is solo photography of mine(portrait).
Sony will give you more lens options from third party manufacturers.
Lumix G7 seems a bit easier to get these days at a fair price due to the A6XXX hype.
1:58 Squeen?
Why would this camera have a "soft, dreamy" look compared to a 6400?
Mine doesn’t last 15 minutes
pls review fugi xs20
absolutely will
Permisi bertanya, saya dulu pengguna Canon 60D dan mau pindah ke Brand lain
Brand Nikon ini kecepatan auto fokus untuk foto nya bagus ya? Tergantung dari prosesor nya betul ga sih?
Mau buat foto apa bang

I absolutely will. once i get my hands on it.

the video is so interesting but PLEASE stop with these incessant transitions (and failed? image is coming before or after transition but not in the right time..), it really gives headache.
would be super cool without the over-editing, calm the rythm, i understand youtube has its codes but that's too much:)
otherwise the subject is well covered, thank you
Copped one for 120 bucks
Damn... 120? nice
actually it shoots 11fps iirc
Is it good for $100
I bought new in 2021 - the shutter packed up a month out of warranty!! Go for something more reliable!! Also it eats batteries like nobodys business!!
You did not just say “the blandest things in your life” and use pictures of your beautiful significant other (assuming) as an example. 😂
just bought on for $200 just for fun :-D
All these people saying they have this camera and it’s just sitting there make me sad lol gimme yo camera and let me love it haha
