As a fan of all three vocalists, I feel as though I have an honest and unbiased approach to this. However, I think that Freddie was sloppy with vocals, but at the same time it allowed him to be creative. Like every celebrity death, their work is glorified and usually over hyped. Don't get me wrong, he's one of the better vocalists I've ever heard, but in my opinion he isn't better than either Urie or Lambert. He's better at singing his songs, but that's about as far as it stretches. I don't think Mercury could walk out on stage and give a convincing Death of a Bachelor, but Urie could do just that with Bohemian Rhapsody. Urie could walk out on stage and give a convincing Queen, ACDC, Bryan Adams, Billy Joel, and the list goes on. Adam Lambert does really well with styles too, they just all sound like rock, even when they clearly shouldn't. Lambert's control is really out of this world, definitely the most consistent of the three. Lambert's vibrato is perfect in oscillation across his entire range. Urie's vibrato is similar, but often straining due to stress on the chords. Mercury's vibrato is a bit wild and differed in speed. It's in the realm of apples and oranges, they're all great, but if you have to pick a fruit, there is a distinct winner. Order goes as follows, Urie, Lambert, and then Mercury. This is strictly speaking of JUST their vocals. Mercury on stage is much more appealing than the other two. This also doesn't mean that Urie or Lambert are better at singing Queen's discography, because I do believe Mercury did it best, but there's so much more to music than Queen.

I think once a singer reaches a point such as these beauties have there's no point of arguing who's best. No singer can be "perfect" they each have/had flaws but each brought something special to the table. Each having incredible ranges, lyrical creativity and character. I've seen everyone say, "Freddie is the best, no one else is" it's so annoying because you can't assume he's the greatest, especially if an ACTUAL ANGEL came down from heaven and sang the most beautiful harmony ever, they can just assume that Freddie is better? I've heard people that sing exactly like him, and people that sing even better, and I've heard Brendon sing notes WAY higher and his voice isn't raspy at all when he sings them (unlike Freddie) I don't hate Freddie, he's an awesome singer. freddy has such a powerhouse voice that we all know and love, but I think Brendon's is more versatile. he can go super high or super low (like the time when he sang "hallelujah" in a rough metal voice)
They are all crazy talented. Brendon does win because it is after all a vocal range video... but I am fans of both Freddie and Brendon (I didn’t know Adam srry but he was very good). Both of there voices are unique in there own way and some people would choose one over the other due to their taste. I personally like Brendon’s better but I do love both.

Freddie Mercury's version of Bohemian Rhapsody has been proven to be a recording for the Galileo part live, whereas Brendon Urie when he covered this song, he would sing it live. And note, this isn't as high as Brendon can go. Or as low.

The fact that they used a recording for the Galileo part is because of the choral sound. On the record it sounds like an entire choir even though it is only 3 voices, just because of all the over dubs. They could not replicate that on stage where they had only 3 vocalists, when you would need like 30 to create the sound on the record. That is why they did not do it live (source: Brian May in an interview), not because Freddie or Roger could not hit the high notes. Brendon did do that part live because he was performing his interpretation of the song, not the way Queen intended it, or would have performed it. Also Queen's highest and lowest notes are not even on the bohemian rhapsody record. Freddie and Brendon are great vocalists in their own right. Brendon's range is wider, but Freddie's voice is more powerful and more flexible. It is not a competition.

As well as this Freddie wrote (most of the songs) songs with just him and the band whereas people these days have songwriters for them. Adam uses more full Voice (Head Voice) and Urie uses more falsetto in the high notes.

I think once a singer reaches a point such as these beauties have there's no point of arguing who's best. No singer can be "perfect" they each have/had flaws but each brought something special to the table. Each having incredible ranges, lyrical creativity and character. All three of them are extraordinary singers that deserve to be praise for their out of this world talent and skill. No need to fight about who is better, now. Each singer is so different that being categorized by "who's best" that just makes it boring imo.

I've seen everyone say, "Freddie is the best, no one else is" it's so annoying because you can't assume he's the greatest, especially if an ACTUAL ANGEL came down from heaven and sang the most beautiful harmony ever, they can just assume that Freddie is better? I've heard people that sing exactly like him, and people that sing even better, and I've heard Brendon sing notes WAY higher and his voice isn't raspy at all when he sings them (unlike Freddie) I don't hate Freddie, he's an awesome singer. It's just very activating to see people that can just say that he's the greatest and no one can beat him. There had to be SOME people that can. All I'm trying to say is, Freddie is a great singer, I just believe Brendon is a WAY better singer.

In His Song “Victorious” On One Of His Concerts He Held Out A 8 Second Note At A Very High Note (I Don’t Remember) Gradually Getting Higher Using His Vibrato The Whole Way Through The Notes. Though This Is Just One Example, His Other Song Have A Better Beat And Some Have A Better Meaning Than Some Of Queen’s Music (Personally) But Also, In The Song “Emperors New Clothes” Brendon Had To Hold Out A Note About 10ish Seconds Long Slowly And Subtly Getting Higher As He Progressed With The Note. He Was Not Straining Himself And He Was Doing It Almost Perfectly Without Any Voice Cracks Or Anything Which Most Performers Would Have Failed At (Not Aiming Anything Toward Queen Or Adam) But Those Are My Reasons That I Believe That Brendon Is A Better Vocalist. Freddie Mercury's version of Bohemian Rhapsody has been proven to be a recording for the Galileo part live, whereas Brendon Urie when he covered this song, he would sing it live. And note, this isn't as high as Brendon can go. Or as low.

The fact that they used a recording for the Galileo part is because of the choral sound. On the record it sounds like an entire choir even though it is only 3 voices, just because of all the over dubs. They could not replicate that on stage where they had only 3 vocalists, when you would need like 30 to create the sound on the record. That is why they did not do it live (source: Brian May in an interview), not because Freddie or Roger could not hit the high notes. Brendon did do that part live because he was performing his interpretation of the song, not the way Queen intended it, or would have performed it. Also Queen's highest and lowest notes are not even on the bohemian rhapsody record. Freddie and Brendon are great vocalists in their own right. Brendon's range is wider, but Freddie's voice is more powerful and more flexible. It is not a competition.

You have no idea what you're talking about.
Just remember, Freddie was singing in the moment, he had a unique voice (especially in the 70s/80s) and he had no autotune (I know the other two are great live) and no competition at the time. And without Freddie, (in my opinion) Brendon and Adam wouldn’t be nearly as famous. As well as this Freddie wrote (most of the songs) songs with just him and the band whereas people these days have songwriters for them.
All great singers but we have to keep in mind Freddie was incredible in his own way and will always be missed
