When I was little I literally just thought the evil queen made her dirty so she looked like a beggar child and I always thought the King was so stupid for not recognizing his own child just because she looked dirty now lol Like she still has the same voice and is wearing the same clothes!

So this was an english dub of a really old russian animation. The speaking is out loud, but the words don't sync up at all, so that is something to overlook. I think any thoughts that aren't spoken have an echoey quality to them (If I remember correctly).
Plus I vision one of the scenes in which Elisa after singing how she wants to break the curse on her brothers makes her wish on a star which brings the fairy queen down to tell her how she could break the curse on her brothers to make her wish come true.

Hi Suzanne! The original Russian Animation came out in 1962. The english dialogue/music in this version was released in 1990.

I keep buying the wrong versions of the movie. 😕 They all have the same photos, covers, descriptions, director/creator, etc
I sincerely hope Disney doesn't do a 3D animated film on this Hans Christian Andersen classic. They've ruined "The Snow Queen" with their "Frozen". 😭
