My Mother started buying my daughter the Holiday Barbies for Christmas since they came out in 1988 and sadly my Mother was murdered in 1992 in our home. Since then I continued her tradition and bought my daughter the Barbies since. My daughter has been in the Air Force and is an Instructor, but I still mail her Holiday Barbie to her every Christmas. She said it still feel's like a gift from her grandma every year, which makes my heart happy. She has never opened her Barbies and they are all still in mint condition. I loved your video because you showed me all the things about the Barbies that we didn't know since we never opened them. Thank You!
Yep, she is definitely Victorian inspired. I love history and I have a particular interest in the Victorian era, so I think that doll is absolutely GORGEOUS! My favourite alongside 1998, which is the one my family had when I was growing up.
I found this video through my very homophobic mother who sent me this and very bitterly complained about it how it was "wrong" etc. I wouldn't normally watch or comment on something like this but I just want to say this is adorable, please keep this up and keep enjoying your passion, don't let people like her bring you down. I don't really know much about Barbie and I haven't really had an interest since I was a kid, but this is was a sweet watch and I'm glad you have the confidence to persue your passions. Lots of love. 💕
My top favourite Holiday Barbies 95,97,98,06,09, in no particular order. I believe the 97 doll was generally burnette cuz the dark hair complemented better all the red, as opposed to the platinum blonde that just makes the doll look like a ghost against the red. @@BeautyInsideABox You might be missing a Bob Mackie Holiday Barbie from 2005, depending on your definition of blonde hair. In 2005 they actually did two different color dresses for the Bob Mackie Holiday Barbie doll. The red dress with traditional blonde hair (which is the one you have) is the more common one and was sold everywhere that offered Holiday Barbie. That Barbie could also be found in a green version of that same dress. Now here is where it could get debatable. I have seen some people say that the hair on the green dress version is brunette, but I have also seen some people compare it to being more of a "dirty blonde" and not actually brunette. Now I don't know if/where the green dress version would of been offered in the UK, but here in the US it was offered exclusively only at Sears department stores. I AM SO HAPPY YOU OPEN YOUR DOLLS. It bothers me a lot when people don't open their dolls. Like, you can't even see half the doll and depending on the packaging, you can see even less. People put so much effort into the doll and you put so much money into it, just to let it sit in the box and never appreciate the whole thing??? Or feel anything other than the cold hard box??? I get that it's personal preference, but it's become collector standard to the point where if you so much as open something, even if it's in perfect condition and you still have the box, a 1,000 dollar doll becomes worth anywhere from essentially nothing to at best 100 dollars. It just makes no sense to me and I LOVE that you take your dolls out and even bother to see what they look like from the back.
Teresa Barcelo There also goes a lot of effort and work into the box lol It‘s like they already have a personalized display case if you leave them in there.
@@_frankiefreak_ In which case, it would be nice to have a way to remove the doll from the box and put it back in to display so that collectors can at least see the whole doll without ruining the packaging and still being able to display it how they want. A lot of collectible doll boxes probably are that way, but I've heard collectors on RUclips say they've never seen their 6,000 dollar (not even exaggerating) doll's shoes or hair properly because they can't take it out of the packaging without ruining it. Which I imagine is annoying for them and certainly is annoying as a viewer who just wants to see pretty dolls they can never own. XD Edited to say the word "box" less.

Ahh I remember getting the barbie collector magazine as a kid and being absolutely mesmerized by the holiday barbies. Starting from about 2007 it got really nostalgic for me.
I admit it - I was gutted that neither my daughter or granddaughter cared much for Barbie. I adored mine when I was younger and wish I still had my 1958 ponytail Barbie. You did a great job of presenting your collection - it was nostalgic and fun to see each of them.
When my granddaughter was born 5 years ago I started buying her these every year and I'm going to give them all to her on her 18th birthday. I hope she likes Barbie then.

I had the 1995 Barbie, and I remember it pretty well how I got her. She was displayed at a huge store in my town with all the other Barbies, but the dress stood out to me(I was 7 at the time). I couldn’t keep my eyes off her, how beautiful she was. My mom actually bought her for me although she was very expensive at the time(about ~55€ in modern times)... Our cat got her and chewed almost one of her hands off(the other one was „just“ nibbled on). 🥺 I was devastated but put her up again, on a higher shelf this time. 😅
Fun fact The 95’ was the first to sell out everywhere before Black Friday Collectors had caught on and would buy up all of them at the same time. I actually stumbled upon a doll from one of my local thrift stores recently. I thought she had lovely makeup and jewelry and a cute little barrette with a "B" on it. I figure that she was a holiday or otherwise formal dress Barbie, but I had no idea who she was due to finding her sans clothing and her original box...until today. I had a Happy Holidays 1990 Barbie doll (one of my favorite dolls in the collection) in my possession for almost a week before she was identified. My mom had the 2002 doll with the red dress. The doll itself was impressive! But my mom remade the dress with high quality velvet and satin fabric instead of that shiny material and the result was SO luxurious and beautiful that all her sisters were jealous. She gave it to my grandmother as a Christmas present later, but I don't think that woman appreciated it enough. The doll ended up on a top shelf collecting dust.
Hi, Joe ! Just wanted to thank you for this video, it was the inspiration i needed to finally complete my Holidays Barbie collection ! I just purchased the last Barbie i was missing to complete my collection (1989). Now i proudly own them all 😍!!! The hardest one to get was the first one (1988), i had to pay a bit extra for that one - but it was worth it ! Thank you ❤👍
i think all of the Holiday Barbie dolls that have the Superstar face are the most charming. My favorites are 1988, 1990, 1994, 1995 and 1996. i really enjoy your videos.
I have collected for years . I have Holiday Barbie 1988 to 2021 . I have a total of almost 200 barbies. All different ones first time watching your channel. It is Great.
Like me. I have those 18 Holiday Barbie from 1998-2015. They are very beautiful. and good quality But 2016-2019 dolls look cheap and bad quality. They looks like knock-offs from Dollar Store.
This is 100% what 8-year-old me would be doing with a friend this time of year, busting out all our most * stunning * dolls we'd gotten for Christmas and gushing at each other over their opulence.
I just bought the 2017 holiday barbie to use as a tree topper because she has the star and Christmas hot wheels as ornaments .. to create a perfect Christmas tree for my niece and nephew …. LOVED THIS VID
i remember when i was a little kid i had 2002 holiday barbie, idk what happened to her but i'm hoping to get one for my current doll collection eventually! thanks for showing them all off!
I really rather prefer the more common 1997 doll with brown hair, but I assume he wanted a uniform blond collection. The slightly darker colouring and contrast hair pops the texture on the white a little better and is in the same warm colour family as the red, so it makes a lot of sense. All these, also seem to have black Barbie equivalents, which would be a neat comparison -- the brighter colours surely would contrast and pop better on them.
I just got the 60th anniversary today and this year’s holiday which I LOVE! The candy cane look and classic red is stunning. My birthday Barbie is my 1989 🥰🥰
I fell in love with 1989 Happy Holidays Barbie as a little girl. I didn't know at the time she was a collectible, all I knew was that she was GORGEOUS! It KILLED me that I wasn't allowed to take her out of the box! After that year it became a tradition to get the Happy Holidays Barbies at Christmas from my family, so I have the entire collection in the boxes. They even got me the 1988 HH Barbie to complete my collection. Some of the boxes are so old they came unglued but they have never been opened. So THANK YOU for showing me what my dolls actually look like out of the box! 😅 Loved the video. It is a very special collection. I'm glad you found them all. ❤
The 2007 HB is the supreme. I don't know what year it was or if it was the holidays at all, but i remember seeing her as a little boy in the shelf and i was mesmerized. So much beauty, so many details. Truly stunning.
The flowers on the the 1993 doll are called Poinsettias. My favourite doll here is probably 1996 because it looks very Charles Dickens novel...old English style. And the little fluffy thing she is holding is called a muff. What a wonderful video!!

Thank you ❤👍
1989 was the first one I got lol I have 89, 95, 96, 02, 03, 07, 09, 15, and 19 so still a lot to go 😅
I love that you mom buys them for you now it’s such a sweet tradition ❤❤❤❤❤
Happy birthday to you and your brother Luca and Merry Christmas
i think all of the Holiday Barbie dolls that have the Superstar face are the most charming. My favorites are 1988, 1990, 1994, 1995 and 1996. i really enjoy your videos.
I’m so glad I’ve seen this I remember now after watching this I had 1998 holiday Barbie. Good child hood memories 💗💗💗
2006 is my all time favorite. I love her hair, the green and the stars. Love Macki’s work
I would totally wear the 2009 barbie dress, sooooo lovely dress!
Her make up is stunning!
I have collected for years . I have Holiday Barbie 1988 to 2021
. I have a total of almost 200 barbies. All different ones first time watching your channel. It is Great.
Looooooooove this trip through Barbie history. Thank you for sharing 🌟🎀
I had the 1997 holiday Barbie and absolutely loved her!!!
I looove the 1998-2015 Holiday Barbies! I think they look the most glamorous
Like me. I have those 18 Holiday Barbie from 1998-2015. They are very beautiful. and good quality But 2016-2019 dolls look cheap and bad quality. They looks like knock-offs from Dollar Store.
green holiday barbie is GIVING elegance. love it
This is 100% what 8-year-old me would be doing with a friend this time of year, busting out all our most * stunning * dolls we'd gotten for Christmas and gushing at each other over their opulence.
I am loving that you were allowed and encouraged to have dolls as a child.
We can still celebrate Christmas!! No one can forbid Christmas 🎄- Belle
I only have three Christmas Barbie dolls from 2019, 2020, and 2021.🎄 🎄 🎄
I really rather prefer the more common 1997 doll with brown hair, but I assume he wanted a uniform blond collection. The slightly darker colouring and contrast hair pops the texture on the white a little better and is in the same warm colour family as the red, so it makes a lot of sense. All these, also seem to have black Barbie equivalents, which would be a neat comparison -- the brighter colours surely would contrast and pop better on them.
2016 is picking up on ombra dying trends, but I wonder if the colour is actually a blue. I'm wondering about Elsa from Frozen vibes here.
Wow, that was a fabulous overview of the holiday barbies. Thanks so much - you have a great collection.
Wow loved your holiday barbie collections.
2002 burgundy with the high ponytail is my absolute favorite! And the black dress with the hot pink omg
It was so great seeing them all at once. Thank you so much for collecting them and doing a great review! ❤️ Happy Holidays!
The 2007 HB is the supreme. I don't know what year it was or if it was the holidays at all, but i remember seeing her as a little boy in the shelf and i was mesmerized. So much beauty, so many details. Truly stunning.
This was a lot of fun and nostalgic! Thank you for the trip through time! 🎄🤶🎅
2005 and 2006 I agree not my favorite but still cute
Love your passion and knowledge of Barbies!
Love these so much. The 2008 one brings back a lot of memory's. Love you're channel.❤❤❤
I just watched this again to celebrate the season! 🌟☃️❄️🧑🎄
Love the dedication... Dolls are part of history- Well done!
Awwwww! Those Barbie Dolls are so Gorgeous!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤💚💚💚💚💚💚
The flowers on the the 1993 doll are called Poinsettias. My favourite doll here is probably 1996 because it looks very Charles Dickens novel...old English style. And the little fluffy thing she is holding is called a muff. What a wonderful video!!
1996 was my favorite. I had a bunch of them but 1996 was always my favorite. 1998 was a close 2nd favorite, and Millennium Princess
Where's the 2019 holiday Barbie ? I have her !
I got it this year I swear! Ahhh so beautiful 😍
@@Mikey19La-jz3fs boil washing will help soften her hair in fabric conditioner 😊🎗️
Such gorgeous collection! Early 2000's look so Russian princessy/Elsa style.
Holiday barbie 1997 is beautiful 😍 I might have to try and find her online.
I have the 1992 one and it's one of the most glamorous barbies ever!!
those beautiful Christmas dolls with only a partial skirt make the all doll so cheap. it 's a shame. thanks anyway for this lovely review. it is a pleasure to watch you and to discover those beauties. Have a happy holidays
Love the video! I never had any of the holiday dolls but I have a whole tree of the holiday Barbie ornaments!
I know the feeling... I buy my dolls in the box and I unbox them
