I really want the pink 2009 Holiday Barbie. I just think her face is stunning. Also, the white sparkly 2003 one looks very winter themed, and I am glad you have her so high.

Holiday Barbie '92 is very memorable. I graduated from high school in '92. That one had sort of a Thierry Mugler look, in my opinion. I liked '91, too.

My first Holiday Barbie was 1990. I was 4 and to this day, she's still my favorite. I have 2 of her, one in box, and one loose. Personally, I like seeing Holiday Barbies in colors other than red. I haven't bought one of the newer ones in years, because the quality has really gone down hill imo.
Same about seeing Holiday Barbies in colors other than red. The Barbie 2019 Advent Calendar really made me fall for Christmas Pink for Barbie.

Fun list! I don't collect Holiday Barbie's but I think all of the dolls in your top 5 were lovely. The dolls from 1993 and 1996 also stood out to me.
I was so excited to see we have the exact same top 3! 1998-2004 was such an iconic time for the holiday line.

The 2016 doll haaas to be on the bottom of my list I couldn’t believe they sold her with that ugly plastic piece for the top 😭😭
I really like the different colored ombre skirts. But yeah the tops are hideous.

I got both of the 2016 dolls two years ago I think and just ripped the plastic part off, it looks better haha

oh my god 1997 is my favourite! the colours are so christmassy, she has a big outrageous dress and she has the 90s face which is soooo stunning. i know she is a bit out there but i love her so much and i wish i had that one

"Weird crown" on barbie from 2006 reminds me of a kokoshnik. I am from Russia and the kokoshnik is part of our national costume. It seems to me that the whole look of this barbie is inspired by russia. her hairstyle, fur collar and a strange tree on the dress. I all seems familiar to me XD

My cousin had the 1990 one in African American and I absolutely loved her every year they brought her out
The black version if the 2020 Barbie is the best. The skin tone goes better with the gold dress and the hair is better quality than the white and brown barbies... I usually try to avoid the white barbies in newer releases because they usually look kinda ugly and generic with over sprayed hair

i love the top 5 places!! as matter of fact, i reacently got the pink explosion queen herself, the 1990's one!!! and the green 1995 one!! i can't believed when i saw them in Facebook, i was like: is this posible that someone would sold this queens???!! i got them both in the same day, hours apart!! it was the best day ever!! over all, i agree with most of your ranking and i hope i can get some of them in the future!!
My grandmother woke me up on Christmas morning when I was six with the 1994 doll. Oh I love her. ❤ I think the hold dress was beautiful.

What's really annoying is how Mattel thinks picking a model muse body automatically makes it look better
@IT'S BARBIE I do too, but it's like every signature doll now has that body sculpt as if it makes it more expensive. Plus the model muse body type only has one type of body and it gets boring seeing blonde white dolls.
It’s a refresher to see a ranking of real-life holiday Barbies cause mostly people speak about them looking at promo materials which usually look far better than the actual dolls

I think Mattel cuts corners with the under skirts to save money. They probably assume people will keep these special Barbies in the box so only the appearance of the front of the doll matters.
The 2004 holiday Barbie has always been my favorite since I was little. We always collected the barbies and the ornaments, I played with her the most and she was so gorgeous
1997 was my first and only holiday Barbie. I got her mainly because the standard version was brunette, like me. I always thought these dolls weren’t worth the money, so I didn’t keep going with the collection. I do like 1998, 2010, 2000, 2008, 2019, 2003, and 2002.

Personally i love the 2009 and 1990 holiday barbies. I feel like they're reminiscent of presents or Christmas ornaments. I kind of hate the 2020 one though. Its an improvement but for me it bores me. I like the AA one and the Hispanic one though.

The idea of ranking the Holiday Barbies is great! My favorite is the elegant 2010 white gown with red embroidery. Her hair also has a different style which I find attractive. I don't like any of the dolls with tulle or the metallic (paper?) fabric.
1992 reminds me of Sarah's dress at the ballroom in Labyrinth, gorgeous!

These aren't Christmas dolls, they are holiday dolls. They may sometimes invoke Christmas, but they are purely meant to invoke the season. This is one of those areas where Barbie is being inclusive. These dolls are reminiscent of many things that are present during the holidays such as snow, gifts, champagne (take the gold and rose gold dress), Poinsettias, confetti, etc. So, when you feel a Holiday Barbie isn't invoking Christmas enough for you, that is purposeful.
1996 looks really cute to me. Love the design of the dress. Didn't realize that the material is cheep. Over all, it's really cute and definitely has a Christmas winter theam

33. 2012 : That silver pattern is too random, and dress design is kinda cheap too
32. 2006 : Dress is flat, and personally, Bob Mackie's dolks were too over the top, and I don't like his dolls (Except Marie Antoinette one. That was beautiful)
31. 2016 : Yes, that plastic top is horrible. However, the skirt is really nice. But I don't see anything Christmasy about this doll.
30. 2005 : I'm sure Bob Mackie doesn't know anything about Christmas during that time. Dress is weird. Plus that doll face looks like Drag Queen.
29. 2013 : At least the design is lovely, but it's still cheap. I'll at least give a score for nice design.

5. 1998 : Actually, that dress and shawl reminds me of Black Lady from Sailor Moon XD It's still elegant and really beautiful doll! Plus the silver embroidery reminds me of night stars.
4. 2003 : This one reminds me of White Witch from Chronicals of Narnia XD This is so wintery and graceful doll! That coat also gives us Snow Queen vibe.
3. 1999 : Although this is not that Christmasy, but it's interesting that this is Millennium Princess XD Her dress is gorgeous, and that royal blue color and silver is a perfect match!
2. 2008 : Not only because she appears in Christmas Carol, but she is so stylisb and fancy! Snowflake embroidery and dangly earrings, and that silver skirt...... and also that graceful hair! Beautiful....
1. 2002 : Wow, I love that nice red velvet! Plus that elegant sparkles gives her enough fancy look! The bow also gives a nice touch. And that bag is a great finishing touch. This is my fave of all Holiday Barbie 💝💝
My Granmother had everyone of these dolls from the first until the year she died still in the box, my junkie uncle stole and sold all of them within a year of her passing because my blind grandpa didn't notice. Sad and happy memories these bring out for me

I only have a couple of the Christmas Barbie dolls. I think my favorite is still the first one I ever bought, the 1989 doll dressed in white. I bought her back in 1989, and kept her in the box for years and years, and finally brought her ought within the last couple of years. She is MUCH better out of the box.

Anyone from 2000 until now!!! I find for example the first two not bad at all and the Bob Mackie traditional Russian`s vibe is regal and different. I totally agree with the plastic corsets from 2016 though the idea was great displayed into a "crystal ball" in three tones blue-silver, red-gold and green-white.
2008, 2009, and 2004 are ethereal.

If you’re a designer you will understand the designs of Bob Mackie. 2006 Holiday Barbie is like a Russian inspired gown. 2009 Holiday Barbie is in shades of Pink because she’s celebrating her 50th anniversary they want to used the signature color for Barbie and the ribbon was champagne…gold, because 50th anniversary is Gold.
My first holiday Barbie was 2007 I was 7 . I had her displayed on a self in our living room . Until 2010 when my sister was born and she insisted on undressing all my holiday Barbies . I've lost some of them . I'll be 20 in a few days and am keeping them all in box in a closet until i can get a display shelf
The 2007 HB is the supreme. I don't know what year it was or if it was the holidays at all, but i remember seeing her as a little boy in the shelf and i was mesmerized. So much beauty, so many details. Truly stunning.

I’m kinda on the fence but really wannna get the holiday Barbie with her two younger sisters and the sled and her other two sisters in their own boxes this year that I saw at target but idk . I took a pic of them but I don’t think I can post it here on yt . The other two sisters have a baking center and a sled . I’m not talking about the stand alone big elegant holiday Barbie btw just FYI .
The 1988 Happy Holidays Barbie briefly was going for over $1500 NRFB on eBay at one point. My mom and I had all the Happy Holidays Barbies.
1992 was absolutely my favorite. I still have it today and she sparkles just as if she was brand new.

I think you have the biggest collection I've seen. I agree they should use better materials for the money you pay. I would love to see maybe a holiday or birthday creation of your own.
I actually fell in love with the 1991 Barbie! Also the 2006 Bob Mackie is inspired by Poland. That's why it looks so unique.
I remember loving the 2008 holiday barbie since one of the extras on the Barbie in a Christmas Carol DVD showed the making of this doll. I watched that extra more than I watched the actual movie

Favorite Holiday Barbie for me is ranked as follows :
1- 1996 I find it to be very Christmas -sey, Burgundy and Gold with muff, (think Hallmark card) I agree on the skirt not going all around, but I display her with velvet coat spread all down the back - cheap netting covered.
2- 2011 Love the Green and Gold, and the design...thankfully they departed from that "Cinderella" ball gown look
for a change, I got the African American gorgeous doll that year, burned out with the blondes.
3- 2008 Again bought this year's doll AA, fantastic hair design and the dress is stunning love the drop waist line and the skirt.
4- 1991 To me Green is great and this gown was elegant and simple.
5- 2019 At first I was put off by the "Barber Pole" look, then I thought of peppermint stick and changed my mind, once again she is AA, for me just beautiful in red, especially love the hair style pulled to one side opposite the red bow on the other side.
Your top favorites 1 and 2 are Tops with me too, 2002 Red blonde and 2004 Green AA are displayed side by side in my hutch.
The 2006 Mackie doll I bought nude cause I loved the one braid hairstyle, I dressed her in beautiful handmade gown .
The rest of the holiday dolls including 1988 are for me all Ho Hum. ..boring ,though 1989 is an exception, I think they are running out of ideas.
The 1998 black,silver gown I put on a nude Silkstone doll for display.
It seems the Silkstone Dolls have the quality in material at a hefty price, I only have a few of these.
One other thing. The Millennium doll in blue Velvet is beautiful, I separate her from the Holiday line, she stands at the 2000 mark alone...
Also, for 2001, the Holiday Treasures redhead doll is to die for...love her !

Wow! What a fun video! I actually went through to see what my ranking would be and it was so fun. I definitely think, since I don't unbox my holiday dolls, that I am not as concerned with the quality of materials. Thanks for loving Holiday Barbie enough to make this video. It put some dolls on my radar that I never considered before. I own 2014 and 2018. 2014 was my first Holiday Barbie so I feel sentimental about her. One main difference to my ranking besides not caring about materials is that I LOVE pink for Christmas! Especially for Barbie. Also I'm less fond of darker colors for the holidays. I'm definitely adding some Holiday Barbie dolls to my wish list.
My top 10:
1. 1990 - Classic zany Barbie
2. 2018 - Just Gorgeous. Frilly fun. I love her!
3. 2019 - The Candy Cane Theme plus elegance... I can't.
4. 2003 - She is a snow goddess.
5. 1998 - She's EVERYTHING.
6. 2009 - She was my #1 for a while. I love everything about her.
7. 2017 - She has a simple flashy fun flare. So festive and classy. Barbie can dance at the holiday party in this dress.
8. 2008 - There's something so saucy and sexy but also elegant and classy about this one!
9. 2014 - Sentimental because she's my first Holiday barbie. Also this one looks like Barbie is hosting the party.
10. 2012 - Breathtakingly beautiful.
It was really difficult to rank them. Some that I adore and want to collect didn't make my top ten. Poinsettia barbie from 1993 is a stand out. Also Christmas in Space barbie from 1992. Thanks again for the super fun video! On a side note... see Mariah Carey's Christmas special if you can. She's like a living holiday barbie!!!
My favorite is 1996, I have the AA one, I think she is stunning. I think these dolls look soooo much better in their boxes, that's why I don't debox mines. Plus, if you debox, their hair get super messy...
The blister on the box turns yellow from time to time, and the doll becomes moldy.

The 2009 Holiday barbie is my favorites.
The thing i notice about the early 20s until 2005 is that the materials for the dress were great and the 80s are festive sadly the late 20s oversimplified the elegance that much. It irks me sometimes when people say the more minimalist you achive the more elegantly looking you will have which is debatable to me.
I’ve never taken my holiday Barbies out of the box, so it was interesting to see how the dresses move.

I just purchased a 2004 holiday Barbie (your number one doll) and was surprised at how good the quality is on the jewelry, purse and dress. I’m looking to get the version in the burgundy dress, a Sears exclusive, next.
I’d personally love to see Mattel make a Holiday Barbie in a pants suit! Like a velvet blazer and wide-leg high waist pants with a cute blouse and jewelry for 2021. As a collector, I’m starting to get sick of the ball gowns, and I just want to see something new.
That would be really interesting!
They could also go the multicultural route and release a holiday Barbie from a different country each year representing different holiday traditions!
