Thanks Dee, just keep painting. An artist said to me a few years ago 'it's all about brush mileage'. So long as you keep painting you are sure to improve. Thanks for subscribing 😊
I LOVE your painting style. It's a perfect mix of detailed and free and your dark and light contrasts as well as your play with saturation is very satisfying to look at. You and James Gurney are my heroes. You in oil and James in gouache, very similar style. Thank you so much for posting your videos!
This was great Sam really beautiful landscape painting 👌. Watching yourself and Andrew paint and your colour choices has helped me loads plus its great to see artists aswell as friends support eachothers channels . Good for you guys 🖒 Thankyou for making the time and sharing your knowledge and passion for painting.
This was a great painting video Sam. Earlier Andrew was including you in his Videos.😃😃 And now you have included him.😃😃 Keep making such videos. I would like to see painting video of Milford Sound when you , Andrew and Freeman were together. And SAND FlIES as well😂😂🤣🤣.
nice composition, great scenery, plein aire study 5.50 a real gem. be nice to have extact location . Not too sure but believe if you take a snap shot on mobile phone it gives GPS Coordinates. another great video thanks happy painting
Hey Tim, yeah sorry this video was a bit later, I spent a week solid editing the latest Patreon video. Going to start on the next RUclips video this week 😊
Sam, I found you after watching Andrew's video a while back! I was so impressed that he would share his spotlight with other talented artists, and here you are doing the same. I love your detailed explanation of colors and brushes you use, extremely helpful. Beautiful painting!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! 😊
Hi Sam ..! I watched the same vedio with Andrew few days ago I think that were interisting moments and the fanny thing that wen the cows came to you for seeing what happen hhhhhhh
Hey Ahmed, yeah it was a great painting trip. The cows started surrounding us as we were painting but they were a welcome addition cause I was able to include them in my painting 😊
Sam, have you ever done night-time landscapes or at sunset ? I'd love to see how you approach it, the colors used and how you mix them. All your artwork and the videos are lovely and the way you explain things is very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much Chris. I haven't done many sunset paintings, mainly cause I haven't had an opportunity to get some photo reference but I will definitely do some in the future for sure 😊
Truly great, thank you Sam! Liquin Original, or Oleogel for this one? The cows gathering to observe you and Andrew paint were so funny, even they wanted to take a look.
@@SamuelEarpArtist Awesome, thank you for clarifying. As a New England resident it is my humble duty to provide you with a proper Boston Red Sox hat for Christmas to balance out the Yankees hat. Cheers!
Hello. So appreciative of your knowledge and your sharing. I plan to join your paid plan. Also I would like to find your cobalt teal in acrylic. Can you please give me the pigment number. Thank you. 20 years ago I spent a month in your beautiful country. I was backpacking and found the Magic Bus. What a grand time I had and also met other backpackers. The youth hostels were outstanding. Such wonderful memories Would love to visit again but doubt that will happen anytime soon. I’m no longer young and with the Covid who knows. Again loving your art. Thanks again
Thanks Marie, really pleased you are enjoying my videos. I'm not sure about cobalt teal in acrylics however it is not an essential colour. You can make a colour similar to cobalt teal with ultramarine blue, phthalo green and titanium white. New Zealand is a beautiful country, I came here from the UK eleven years ago on a working holiday visa and I ended up staying 😊
Hi Sam, love your channel! In this video what are you painting on? (Answered my question 🙃, Linen panel!)Love your tutorials and how you break down a scene!
Sam I love you videos I was wondering if sometime you could do a video on mixing colors I've noticed that you tend to mix four to five colors together which gets confusing. For me that is So the basic pallet you would use when you go out and paint outdoors. Thank you so much great instructions
Hi Scott, yes I will keep this in mind. I have already made a video on mixing colours. ruclips.net/video/ckUiFZYeUvA/видео.html The colours I use for plein air painting I also use in the studio. I don't use that many colours anyway as it starts getting complicated. i prefer to keep my palette on the more simple side 😊
Hey. Do you mean you can't get the RUclips video to work or one of my full length videos to work? If you are having any issues with videos, please email me at: art@samuelearp.com 😊
@@SamuelEarpArtist Just *this* one. Some one suggested forwarding to the next RUclips video, letting it play for some seconds then returning to this one without pressing STOP. It worked! So all is good. 👍
I never thought to do that but also Andrew is in the beginning of the video when we were plein air paintings. The main part of the video is me painting a landscape so I feel the title I gave this video is a good one. I could certainly put Andrew in the hashtags, I might do that 😊
