I ride stuff from the mid 90s now. I can only afford sleds once they are about 30 years old. I ride cats. For the most part, those old cats with the Suzuki Fan cooled motors still offer good performance and reliability as when they were new but now for pennies on the dollar. I've bought quite a few Junker sleds and parted them out. I now have a basement full of spare Suzuki engines, clutches and other parts. Enough to keep my good'ol 440s running for the rest of my life (40+ years - god willing)

1989 was great. I was in 5th (or maybe 6th?) grade and that was a period when your parents kept you inline, the cops busted perps and judges prosecuted. Men knew they were men and woman knew they were woman, and every household wasn't struggling with terrible effects of money printing. And a V8 of the time made about 225HP and you were the king of the St (Mustang GT comes to mind)
Now you don't know who's who or what's what and you need 1,000HP to be fast.

@@anthonyg6221 funny to think that some snowmobiles nearly make those V8 HP numbers stock today

What'd you think about it last season? I ride mid 90s 340/440 fan cooled cats and they are awesome value for the money. Riding the same trails as all the new stuff and I swear I get more looks and thumbs up than any of those newer sleds 😂😂🤣🤣

@@anthonyg6221 I love it! It’s one of my more reliable sleds. I had to replace the seat and just about anything small thing you can think of. Got if for cheap though

@@carsoncomrie1070 Awesome! Yep, seat covers are the norm and they always seem to need a new rear shock. But after that its typically just gas and oil! Have fun and stay safe out there! I can't wait to hit the trails again here in Northern WI (Florence county)
