For me, “that girl” is a girl who lives a slow life. Who wakes up at six and has a cup of coffee while staring out the window, works out, reads, journals, sometimes paints, who does yoga and/or meditates, who cooks her meals and plates them pretty and eats a lot of veggies and fruits, has her skincare on point, her house/space is tidy and is both bright and cozy, and then goes to bed early in a very cozy and comfortable bed.
I might start trying it as a challenge, maybe it’ll stick
that was me in my 10 day quarantine and honestly one of the best things that happened to me this year!
Wow… while I was watching the video I was thinking of what being “that girl” meant to me: someone who wakes up at 5 am and makes breakfast while listening to a podcast (something educational), eats reading a book, then hits the gym, goes to class (and actually pays attention the whole time), has a BIG salad for lunch, goes to class again (or studies the entire afternoon), anyway… Basically, a whole day full of productivity, etc.
Then, reading the comments, I just realized I’m YOUR definition of “that girl”. So… why not give you a little inside look, right? We seem to think that everyone else’s life is so perfect.
I must sleep 8h a night so I go to bed 21:30 and wake up at 6, otherwise it has really negative impacts on my memory. I have been sleeping less than 7h for years and it really impacted my brain… Not anymore.
When I wake up I eat a banana staring blankly because I’m too slow in the morning to listen to a podcast or read lol
I do workout but I’m always late because of “wasting time” staring at nothing 😂, but when I get back from gym I eat breakfast reading a book or something. I almost never finish a workout because I’m almost always late to class.
I journal because I need to, I’m actually very disorganized, so it helps me keep track of everything, but it’s more useful than it is pretty.. It’s not really pretty.
I paint, too. I can do watercolor, but it takes so long to set everything up and then to clean takes even longer. So now I sometimes do digital art, it’s easier, also only if I have spare time.
I’m trying to meditate, yoga doesn’t work for me, too slow. But meditation helps with focus (in theory), which I lack. But I always find an excuse to not do it. I have ADD (only inattentive, not hyperactive). Medicated.
I cook rarely, I don’t have time (I’m in med school btw), but my snacks really are plated beautifully.
My skincare is only good now because I’m forcing myself to see a dermatologist regularly, but I’m always lazy to wear sunscreen, I didn’t wear it today.
My house is always tidy because if I leave it a tiny bit messy, then, I’m my mind, everything goes to hell and then I just go back to being messy. I’m working that out with my therapist.
Full of “flaws” right? Yeah… no one’s routine is perfect.
I think that this method is only toxic if you’re doing it for the aesthetic and not to change anything.
I've literally become so unconfident after quarantine and everything that happened, I actually had not heard about this trend before lol but I'm super excited to try and better myself for the best in a way I'm comfortable with and this video just gave me sooo much inspiration!! 💕💕

i like your realistic mindset for eating especially allowing yourself to eat something cheap/junky with a balance with healthier foods.
also one criticism for the video editing is that the audio levels are kinda inconsistent. like some parts of the video are too quiet, some are too loud.
I used to think this was so toxic! But after trying it, I realised it really helps to with my mental health and anxiety! I think the act of trying to strive for more health, organisation, self care and to be the best version of you really helps to change your mindset on life! 💕

Some of my friends would call this the weird food diet. lol I like to eat a lot of greens and cook at home a lot. It really makes a difference to reduce the amount of chemicals that pre-packaged and fast foods have. Your mood and energy changes too. Also a lot of stomach issues are caused by some added chemicals.

Stretching is a good thing, yet it has nothing to do with "bulky muscles". Women can not obtain the degree of muscles that men have because we have a substantially higher amount of estrogen. False information will misguide people. Im both a bio major and loft weights and I dont have bulky muscles. I wish people would consult with an expert before writing random things that they think is true.

Part time Plant based, veganism is an ethical stand.
Stretching doesn't keep you from getting "bulky" muscles. Stretching helps prevent injury. And it's not easy to get "bulky" muscle. People who have that kind of muscle work hard for it and eat in surplus. There also isn't anything wrong with women who have a lot of muscle.
Not gaining weight while eating unhealthy food shouldn’t be a goal at all. What about we start taking proper care of ourselves and forget about our weight when it doesn’t affect our health?
