The CL is a classic, but the new Mercedes interiors changed the game.
This isn't that. The old CL class that was a 2 door on a s class chas.. is now called the s class coupe. This is something else.
This is much better than the new generation mercs
Yeah, I have a W221 S500 but the 222 interior is different gravy. The nice thing about all these Mercs is their interiors all age gracefully!

Im owner of the newest s coupe 63 amg.
However Im still in love in older CL63 (2008-2010) nothing compares to the real 6.2 atmospheric engine!
Am I the only one that think that this cl looks better from outside than all this newer Mercedes 2 doors now.

Im a CL63 owner (C216) and I absolutely love mine, I prefer the cl63 body over the S63 coupe body but the interior of the s63 coupe is a show stopper. Mercedes started making all their cars look the same so now when you see a C coupe, E coupe and S coupe they damn near all look the same. There was no other model that looked like the CL and it was a head turner. I have the 2011 Biturbo model white on white !

My CL is Barolo Red. The CL seatbelts are integrated into the seats - much better feature than the S-Coupe.

Collin McGinley not true 2008 cl63 with around 40k miles still run from mid to high 30s and some in to 40s
This one is tt version so it will hold value batter then the old 6.2l. In 4 years this one with 40k miles will still be in mid to high 40s
Pretty good considering it's $100k off, and will be $30k in 5 years
This platform is one of my all time favorites especially the refreshed version, it has aged very well from the outside imo

A cl63 with a black quilted interior is sensationally beautiful and stands the test of time, even when compared to its modern counterpart-the s63 coupe.
First favorite Mercedes for me is the 2012 Maybach 57s, second comes in with the 2012 s550, and third is the cl63 amg. Sadly, no one does reviews on the cl class because it seems to be one of the forgotten Mercedes cars.
Meaning it may end up shooting up in value. Not many sold, and the fact that they have an awesome lineage that is now extinct has a part to play
Awesome Mercedes, the CL 63 is quick for it's size it's really a S-Class with two doors pillarless design.

I personally liked the CL63 over the S63. In my opinion it just looked classier. The best Mercedes coupe however is the 1989 560SEC AMG widebody.

Hey man! I'v been enjoying your videos since discovering you about 3 months ago. I am a shooter and would suggest you get the DJI Osmo x5 for your beauty shots. Very easy to use and the camera detaches and if you are looking into drones it fits on the inspire 1. If you ever want to try the X5 before buying let me know.
CL 63 is a beautiful car.. I think the interior colour makes this model look a lot more dated than it really is. My uncle has this car with White interior/seats and black wood trim, as well a black steering wheel with black wood and it looks far from dated.. It still does not compare to the new S63/65 interior though.
The interior isn't as dated as you say imo. I have a 2007 S550 and it looks as modern as my family's 2017 Lexus GS350. The infotainment system is a bit dated, but everything else is super modern. Most cars don't have a digital instrument cluster, and the Nav part of the Command display is better than the Lexus. I think the color of that specific CL's interior really dated it, in black or cream with the wood steering wheel it looks great.

They looked better pre facelift. The mirrors and front grill don't go with the design at all. What were they thinking? They liked to put boxy features on a round car!

30k now with 50k miles, great deal the new ones are amazing now light years ahead of these but these are still so clean doesn't look outdated at all because of simple it looks if that makes sense, I would buy one for sure.

Looks like everyone prefers the pre face lift CL. I would have to agree. I'm trying to decide between the CL63 and S63 (2008-2010) as a secondary weekender car. I was also thinking about a g wagon but don't think I'm going that route.

best car in the world would be CL 63 EXTERIOR + CL 63 ENGINE + S 63 INTERIOR . If Merc wanted to follow one look philosophy for all models they should've chosen the CL 63 AMG. Daft Germans. Loved the design 10 years ago & i can see why.

if you buy this over hte S63 because its more sporty, i feel like the M6 would be a way better buy, not sure what they go for in the US now tho, but they're up for replacement soonish

The Mercedes cl class is the perfect grand tourer that packs a serious punch, the one in this video did not have the best interior but usually it comes in black which makes the vehicle screams expensive, the rear seats do comfortably seat 2 adults.
I hate the fact people ignore this car just because they don't know what it is but a c coupe gets lots of attention. Considering how much this titanic weighs it still remains to feel like an sl, also this car is not a perfomance car its a GRAND TOURER its designed to go on a nice roadtrip in Paris and when a new M6 2 door rolls up at a set of lights you can smoke him

If you get the GT it's a great car. You might want to do a few bolt ons since it only comes with 300hp stock and mods are pretty cheap. Also get the manual since the Auto isn't very good

The earlier models of the R230 were better looking than the refreshed models imo although I like the interior of the newer models more
Those launches were botched by the torque curve, you have to roll on the throttle slower to get it to give you the 4.4 s that MB lists. If you floor it, you'll just have wheelspin until 20-30mph, which completely ruins your tires on repeated runs.

Its more dynamic because it got the abc suspension the s63 coupe with 4 wheel drive only got the airmatic suspension. The abc suspension makes the car much more flat on the road.
The S63 Coupe does have an ABC option...the newer Magic Body Control...it just isnt standard
