That was a fun ride, Waheed. Delicious powerband! This bike is fast(italics)! I can appreciate you saying it the way you see it. Thanks for all the information about this bike. I live vicariously through your videos. Only mild response to this video is the hair style. Slightly mediocre. Looking forward to the next vid, Adam, and keep the rubber side down (at least one hoop at a time). Thanks.

People complaining in Adam's speech while riding a 217hp bike in twisty roads hard should try to test themselves with a similar task. Just to be realistic about the challenge it poses.
Fantastic review... Actually explaining all features/aesthetics/performance eloquently while showing us how the bike rides and when ENTHUSIASM is much appreciated. Keep the reviews coming.. Thanks brotha! 😉🤙🏿
Adam I have finally decided to take your lead on my haircut. I am tired of people telling me I should cut my hair because I look like Bozo The Clown. Because of you I am now telling all who come to Foxtrot Oscar as I have decided its time to get back to my roots! Thank you for the inspiration and keep the videos coming.
I really dig the new design of the bodywork on all the new Aprilia bikes, but I do wish the RSV4 Factory kept the stock Akrapovic the previous model had. That's one of the things that make me glad I did not wait for this new model and bought the last year's. I also thought the increased displacement was to maintain the power with the added stuff due to Euro 5. I guess it does help with torque, too. At any rate, great review as always. I lost track long ago of the number of times I watched the review of the 2019's model. :)
Adam, my 2018 base model RSV4RR also has cruise control. It's a feature they added in 2017 so Aprilia has been ahead of the curve in this respect compared to other liter bikes...
HI ADAM. I really appreciate that your street reviews are mature rides and not too crazy, despite an occasional wheelie. But when on track you really rip it.
I’m glad companies are realizing that there are riders taller than 5’10” that like sport bikes, but at my height I still can’t make it work for me. I miss the days we had a lot of options for sport tourers that focused more on sport than touring. I’m anxious to see the new Tuono. Why do so many of modern super bikes and naked bikes get such poor mpg? I get that they ramped up the horsepower, but it seems the ZX-14R gets better mileage than most of these newer bikes.
I test rode a 2018 rsv4 tuono at a demo day and once we got on the highway the whole group vanished ahead of me like rockets. Gave the throttle a whack and was the fastest if ever been on two wheels. Hit 120 mph like it was nothing and leaned all the way over in a bend on the highway just cutting through the wind.
This bike had to be reviewed by Waheed! Another nice job. But did the cost of this bike really go from $19,000 last year to $26,000 this year?! That's an insane jump over one year for a bike that barely changed.
I'd say Aprilia. I never liked the sound of the R1 with a stock pipe. With Akra, it's a whole other story, though. The new RSV4 1100 does not have the stock Akra, though. Bit of a shame, although I guess it would've been even more expensive if it had.
I own 2013 R1, and have personally ridden an rsv4. I'd say rsv4 sounds better. Crossplane from R1 starts giving that awesome growl when you rev it past 5k'ish rpm. Whereas the rsv4 the awesome growl starts even when it idles
How about a fuel gage, or miles till empty gage or something. On mine, I only get a warning light when it's close to empty, and depending on where I'm at (elevation, road conditions, etc..) I have to try to figure out, if I have 5 miles left to empty or 15 (If I catch it early on a ride, I can feather the throttle to get 20).
Nice thorough review & a heck of a machine but too much of everything for me right now. Interesting that every review I've seen would opt for the base model. Looks like Aprilia may've shot themselves in the foot a little bit. You could buy the base model & put the forged Factory wheels on or even get carbon Wheels & still save big bucks.
On the curvy road part of the review, why lug the motor so much? Being an rsv4 owner, I found it really odd that you bring the motor down to 2-3k and then slam the throttle open transitioning out of the corners... Not doing the bike, motor or riding experience any favours. It's so much smoother in the higher rpm.
If Aprilia would spend 1/10th of the time it puts into "innovative ride modes" towards actually building a real DEALER NETWORK I'd be a lot more impressed. I live in an area that has one of the highest concentrations of motorcycle registrations in the US. Except for an Aprilia owners' get-together, I have seen a total of two Aprilias. In the last five years. That says it all to me.
@@philipdarnall787 I've actually seen more Guzzis, which says a lot. Look at it this way: I've seen two Aprilias on the road. I also saw one Bimota Tesi.....get the piicture?
Love them had a 2015 factory, but they need to liven up the colour scheme. I mean I had to take the wheels off mine and get them powder coated Aprilia red.
I've only seen one German review where the guy removed that medical device and installed the rear seat. So yes, it does come with a rear seat. I don't know if it cost extra 🤔.
the only thing thats bad about it is the sound. So annoying they had to swap the motor from the legendary sounding old one. It sounds like the RS660 am i right?
Great review as usual. Whenever I see you guys testing the bikes' capabilities in the mountain twisties I feel so sorry for you. With the quality of those surfaces you might as well be riding somewhere in a developing country ... No wonder the bike head shakes.

There's a theory that Adam's hair style corresponds to the bike's horsepower: More horsepower equals crazier hair.

If the chain is properly lubed the vibrations disappear. I have to lube the chain every 3 weeks or 700km or so but vibes aren't an issue.

No, this is the difference between the base and Factory models. The prices between year models are roughly the same.
Which is amazing since the dollars real worth is diving.
Better sounding engine this or the R1 cp4?
