- Speed of Light has a very important place in Albert Einstein’s Relativity Theory. We have heard statements like, nothing can overcome the speed of light, speed of light is a constant for all observers etc. Some times we think why does the speed of light has such an important place in the universe. But our universe has not given any special status to light. The speed of light is not actually the monopoly of light.
So what do we mean by the term Speed of Light? Let us find out through this video.

അപ്പൊ നമുക്ക് ഒക്കെ തോന്നും ഈ പ്രകാശത്തിനു മാത്രം ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തില് എന്താണ് ഇത്ര പ്രിത്യേക സ്ഥാനം? എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ് പ്രപഞ്ചം ഈ പ്രകാശ വേഗത മാത്രം ഇത്ര സ്പെഷ്യൽ ആക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്?
എന്നാൽ നമ്മൾ ഈ പറയുന്നതൊന്നും തന്നെ പ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ പ്രിത്യേകത അല്ല. പ്രകാശത്തിനു പ്രിത്യേകമായി ഒരു സ്ഥാനവും നമ്മുടെ പ്രപഞ്ചം കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. നമ്മൾ ഈ പ്രകാശ വേഗത പ്രകാശ വേഗത എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് സത്യത്തില് പ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ കുത്തകയെ അല്ല. അപ്പൊ പിന്നെ നേരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലൊക്കെ തന്നെ ഈ പ്രകാശ വേഗത എങ്ങിനെ വന്നു? ഈ പ്രകാശ വേഗത എന്നുള്ളത് സത്യത്തിൽ എന്താണ് ?നമുക്ക് ഈ വീഡിയോ വഴി കണ്ടു നോക്കാം.

Some questions :
I ve seen the speed of light being derived using permeability and permittivity constants.. Does this mean that the speed of light being the maximum attainable speed is applicable only for electromagnetic waves ?
What are the speeds of weak/strong nuclear forces ?
How was the speed of gravity calculated ( and found to be equal to that of the speed of light )..was that an independent calculation separate from that of the speed of light ?
