So, before I start, you need to know two things: 1. I'm an idiot. 2. My spacebar is broken. I have followed your steps to the letter, but my morse recording in spectrogram mode is completely illegible, even when I zoom. I record in OBS, but have no idea how to save it as wav, so I have to convert from MP4 to wav via Zamzar and have it emailed to me. Dunno if that's the problem. I can see dots and dashes (kind of) on my spectrogram, but they are not clear enough to distinguish the spaces. I've dropped the gain in the spectrogram from 20 to10, and that helps, but not enough. This is almost as frustrating as a broken space bar.

Whenever I plug the audio in from Audacity and normalize the morse, all of dots and dashes are extremely hard to define. I've tried amplifying the audio 3 times now and now luck, and this is the 5th audio recording.
Is there a lot of background noise? Is the volume turned all the way up in game? Try and go to Ballroom Blitz to get your morse code. I've found it's one of the quieter ones with no background noise.

Actually it is easier to decode the morse code by ear
this is fucking impossible, audacity odesnt show that as clear as it is on your video and this shit game has bricked my tower 10 fucking times in a row cause after i input the correct code i can't interact with the small lamp for the skull lmg skin

My morse code is extremely barely visible. I can't see it to decode it.
Which map and mcom did think is easier to get code
I always used Ballroom Blitz. The headphones are easy to get and the mcom is in a pretty quiet spot.

It should. The main thing to keep in mind is you just need to get the audio out of the video so any program which lets you extract the audio and put it into Audacity should work just fine.
I think there is a trial version of Vegas if movie maker doesn't work.

Why are you're dots and dashes more defined. Mine are faded and it's harder to decipher
+ChickenMcNuggs _ did you normalize the audio? You could try amplifying the audio and then normalizing it. Might help!

+ChickenMcNuggs _ play with it a bit until it's showing clearer. Just apply it little by little.
taintedgamer4k amplifying helped a little. The white dashes and dots are a bit transparent, and it makes it harder to find out the code.
+ChickenMcNuggs _ you might want to try and rerecord the audio from the game. Sometimes it doesn't come through very clear. Make sure your in game volume is maxed out and just turn down your head phones.

I'm not sure what you mean.
when you normalize the dash on your video is white and visible mine is red and blends into the background making it hard tounderstand
Make sure your volume is turned way up in game and try and record it again.

+RuArmy01 you could try recording with your cell phone and emailing it to yourself. I'm not sure how well that'll work though. If you have a capture card it's much easier. :D
