UPDATED/NEW STRATS: EE1: You can find the safe spots from the 3rd hit. The west safe spot will be the one hit by a line, the east safe spot will be the one not hit by a line.
Wow this guide is awesome, as there were some mechanics that I couldn't get my head around but now after watching this it clicked thank you so much for this guide!
Very solid guide! I wanted to comment on a couple things that are important for people to be aware of. 1. During transition, make sure you never stand inside the boss's hitbox when lasers go out after role AoEs. They are very wide and you can easily get clipped by one of the lasers perpendicular to yours. 2. Cross Tail Switch has 9 hits, not 8, and it's impossible for tank LB3 to cover all 9, meaning you need to deal with one full damage hit. The timing you gave makes the final hit the high damage one.
You can. There will always be 1 west safe spot and 1 east safe spot. The sideways spark cleave eliminates one. Yesterday I saw a maybe better method though. On the 3rd hit, the mine on the west that gets hit is safe, the mine that doesn't get hit on the east is safe.
i've cleared a few times now with clean sunrise but just re: uptime sunrise: i've seen some povs where people will stand mid marker on the side closest to the tower rather than perpendicular like in this video (eg for NS towers, standing on the N/S marker side instead of E/W) are these compatible at all? if anything baiting closer to towers seems like it would give larger room for error unless im mistaken
@@fishtrekgames No I don't believe they are compatible. I know on some other DCs they do the baits like you said, but on materia always do it like this. The advantage being that it's also compatible with the wall baits that some people like using (I think from rinon or yukizuris guide I didn't show it here)

@10:38 the warrior is going beast mode here
He is the GOAT. That is a full uptime thing you can do but it's very very bad if you mess it up so I didn't really mention it.
Nice guide. I like the breakdown plus the footage back to back.
